Staff is AWESOME. The place is very clean. No issues BUT the clientele. I'm a solid 6.5 and these guys think that they are 10+++. Didn't see one ab. Club is normally a very friendly and inviting place. They seem to fail at upkeep and repairs but seem to be trying. Mold issues easily remedied with a spray bottle and a little bleach . I did see both improvements and the opposite. Darkroom needs remodeled, missing doors. Seems like the upgrades are causing some upkeep to not be completed. Went there for the 1st time on Friday. Lots of nice people. Went with my gf. More single guys there then I was expecting. They can be very persistent at times. Made it hard to mingle with other couples. All in all it was a good time and we will be returning. read more

I've been there numerous times. The staff is always friendly and eager to help you in any way they can. The facilities are great with a very good large hot tub, a large steam sauna, and a dry sauna. There are nice open play areas, my favorite is the dark room. When you first walk in, you really can't see much, but after a minute or two your eyes adjust and you can see enough to get around and see the action. While writing this review, I find myself having very mixed emotions about describing Club Columbus. This place is not for the faint of heart, especially if you under the age of 24 or alone. The demographic definitely leans towards an older audience, and not many at that, as most of the rooms were either empty and sparsely-filled. The guys there, while trying to be polite, came off as creepy or unnerving, as I experienced many jump scares in the sauna room. Fitness Club for Men located just off 315 and 5th Ave in Grandview. Walk-ins are welcome, but it is generally a good idea to know about this place before trying it out. Gym has a good amount of equipment and nearly all of it is in working order. The dress code is enforced in the gym, but the other areas (sauna, steam room, whirlpool, showers, and the maze of changing rooms) you will find men mostly in towels (or less!). Business can be sporadic, but this place is generally staffed with friendly people and kept clean. Navigating the place can be a challenge with the dim lighting, but that is part of the fun, right? Good sized patio and outdoor heated pool get very packed on warm sunny days. Pool is generally open May-Oct. It can be especially fun to swim in the warm water when weather is less than pool-esque. (late spring/ early fall) I would recommend this place to any guys looking for a welcoming, unpretentious gym. Or for any guys looking to spice up their leisure time. read more

Generally the club is well maintained clean the staff is friendly. The Whirlpool needs to be fixed as there are only a few operating jets.

I've had a gym membership here for about 6 months, and I work out 6 days a week. The Club has a nice selection of equipment to work with. The gym is always clean, and if someone forgets to rerack the weights, an employee is usually shows up within half an hour to fix it. In addition, the staff is always friendly and diligent. Someone is always cleaning something. All in all, a good place to work out and relax. I've read some of the negative reviews on here, and I've never experienced the things listed. For instance, I've never seen a rat, roach, flea, lice, or any sort of vermin, and the towels are always clean. Urine and feces were mentioned in some of the reviews, but in 6 months, going 6 days a week, I haven't seen, or smelled, either. Also, the restroom is always clean, the showers work, and the water is clear. Because of my experience, I do not see where they are coming from. The crowd does tend to run a little older, but that is to be expected. They advertise the relaxation of the sauna, steam room, and hot tub, which appeals to that crowd. I do not think most people know about the gym. I think they are unaware of some of the things that turn younger people away. For instance, over the summer, a bunch of us in our 20s and 30s were playing in the pool with beach balls. An older gentleman complained about it, and the beach balls went away. When younger people are having fun, the older people tend to complain, and the fun goes away. Also, the older people there do not respect your personal space. Some of the things that make this a 4 star and not a 5 are small things. For example, I've been in steam rooms where the steam was infused with menthol and eucalyptus oil and it was nice. Here, it's just steam. They only play EDM, which is my least favorite type of music, but I can not expect them to not follow the cliché because it works for most people there. They also lose some points because the average crowd seem to average 60yrs old, but I covered that above. read more

I just heard that the new club management will not serve Christmas dinner to the patrons as done in the past. How rude, cheap, and disrespectful to the men who have no other place to go or who have been abandoned by their families. The club continues to raise it prices...the place is dirty and certainly not worth $18 to rent a locker! Something is definitely not right with the latest management....I just tore up my membership card and they can stick it up their asses. I've observed Club Columbus staff greet every person entering the establishment as if they are the most important person they will meet that day. The staff is friendly, attentive and respectful. The place appears to be very clean and well maintained. It is a nice space to meet other men while sitting in the hot tub, watching TV or sitting by the pool. read more

Recently my wallet was lost or stolen I'm not sure which it can change my club Columbus membership which was just renewed at the end of November I made several attempts to reach Club Management in order to get the membership card replaced with not one of my calls or messages for return either by voice mail or in writing I heard nothing from management finally after asking to speak with a manager someone came to the desk who did not identify themselves and gave me some nonsense answer that the cards were remember specific you know whatever man whatever you guys make plenty of money I had just renewed the membership that is not fair now I'll give you plenty of business and I expect membership to have some privileges and not feared nickel-and-dime me every chance you get in Stick It To Me you want loyalty from your customers show some loyalty to your customers I mean I've been in that place when the heat was so hot you couldn't breathe the Wi-Fi was not working and the videos were not working I was there one time when someone died I didn't come and demand my money back so enough is enough you want me to pay for a membership just days after I renewed it.
