A friend sent me an invite to attend a Zumba class here. The studio is in a strip mall, with plenty of parking available. The class is large, at least for me. It is very clean, and although it was decorated with Halloween decor you could see the room is orderly. Front desk was very friendly. As I signed in they handed me a card, it turned out to be a Thank You card, thanking me for attending. The instructors were absolutely fantastic and friendly. They were full of energy for the 90 mins. Even the class was rev'ed up! I was getting energy from the class and the instructors, I think that's what pulled me through this class. Club Jennifit is a Dance Studio that recently opened in May 2016 in Oceanside, CA. I made it to Club Jennifit as part of a special Zumba Master Class following my favorite Zumba Jammer instructor. I'm a really big fan of Zumba! It's a great way to get some exercise without feeling like a gym rat. Club Jennifit is owned by Jennifer Shelby (jennifershelby.zumba.com). As of July 2016, I've been to a few Zumba Master Classes for Jennifer Shelby co-teaching with other Zumba instructors. She has great energy and is really passionate. "What? I can't pop my booty like that!" is what I thought my first class. Then I noticed an older Asian lady toward the front left side of the class...twerking. I figured, if she can do it, I can. I have learned that even if I don't do the dances right, the whole point of zumba is to just keep moving. She makes it so fun! I have been following this instructor since she held classes at a boxing gym in Vista. Her current classes are held at the Brickhouse Cardio studio, near the Thai place, Mr. Pho, donut shop, etc. It's 7$ for an hour, down a few bucks from last year. Check her Facebook for class days, and the times are usually 10 am and 7pm. Jenn's classes are fabulous! I discovered Club Jennifit a few weeks ago after moving to Oceanside from Northern California. And I could not be happier! I've been doing Zumba for 10 years with lots of different instructors, and she is by far one of the best instructors with whom I've had the pleasure to dance. She has great moves, and great music and routines, which she mixes up so everyone is always engaged. She also breaks down the moves so everyone can follow along. (I've been going to Club Jennifit since it opened in April/May 2016- I've never seen "Aaron D." at any of the classes- makes sense seeing as how he's from Temecula area & not Oceanside- makes me question the validity of any of his reviews) -- The entire staff @ Club Jennifit has a very energetic & uplifting feeling about it! While the instructors do more than just teach (they're all involved with local charity groups & give back to society by volunteering, donations and drives), it's the smiles that greet me at every class that keeps me coming back. Plenty of parking &it's a terrific studio. It sounds great, there's plenty of room and dang it- I learned me some dance moves!! They're right next to Kahoots and the staff in there is pretty darn friendly, too (-a review for another time!) Most importantly, Club Jennifit is Inspiring. It's owned and operated by a military veteran family (combat-wounded). Taking the time to inspire others, when you're in need inspiration of your own, speaks volumes. When I first came in I was overwhelmed with all the decor... is this place fo real? Yes it was! The class was full but I had plenty of room and plenty of fun. Jennifer kept me moving and motivated the whole long class. She really has a talent for working you out while keeping a smile on your face. I can't wait to go back! Only thing that I would like to see is a bit more direction when you walk in the door. I wasn't quite sure what to do. I have been to a few zumba classes at this studio and I am very pleased with what they have to offer. The prices are great and I love the options that are made available. You can do either drop-in classes or get a punch card. That really works for me and probably will for others as well who dont necessarily attend often enough to need a full blown membership to a gym. The space itself is more than enough room for a decent sized class and the music system along with the music selection both sound great! The classes themselves are super fun and Jennifer, the owner/main instructor, is always so full of good energy and positivity that is contagious throughout the class. This is, in my opinion, a key component in a good zumba instructor. Although it is a fairly new establishment in the area, they have quickly begun adding new/various options for classes; this includes classes like hip-hop/yoga/etc. I really enjoyed myself and plan on continuing to attend classes in the future. read more

This facility is super cute and clean :) I recently took a certificate training here all day and I was impressed. First, they offered wifi so I could take notes on my iPad and the bathrooms were super clean. I loved the Stage for a great instructor visual & the floors are beautiful. I had taken several Zumba classes before finding my home. The previous instructors seemed, only interested in themselves or their "regular students". Before Jennifer's classes I had felt like an awkward outsider and like everyone knew what was going on but me, I was bit wary walking into class that first day. She (and her students) greeted me with big smiles and the whole class welcomed and applauded the courage it took for me to come out for the first time. I had a blast that day, and even though I wasn't getting everything perfect, she and the other students were encouraging and kind. I knew I would be back. Anyone can teach a fitness class, the difference between average instructors and Jennifer is her incredible passion, enthusiasm and heartfelt belief in what she does. She not only gets people moving but injects them with a massive dose of positive energy. Jennifer knows how to break it down for the beginners and work it to the next level for the more experienced. I love Zumba!! I recently moved to Oceanside and a friend recommended I go with her to Club Jennfit. I've done Zumba before years ago and was excited to get back into it. The space is neat, clean, and decorated really nice and fresh. Jennifer is AMAZING!! The amount of energy she has is awesome. She is very comforting and makes you feel very welcome.
