Above it is a non smoking are but with smoke rising even upstairs is like being in one of those airport smoking rooms. Food isn't bad and they have a good range of beers on tap. Wine list looks okay but prices are basically double what you'd pay at the bottle shop for the same wine. If they reduced the smokers area instead of centring the pub around it would have been so much better!

I am not athletic enough for a bar chair so it too a couple of goes before I mounted it. Plenty of TVs show the racing if you have a bet. Only sport was the replay of the NRL. There are no visible machines so I think you could bring in kids but I wouldn't as the locals who inhabit the bar are loud and the vocab leaves a lot to be desired.

Its a basic bar with a big pokies area at the back, nightclub upstairs, and dining area at the front with bi fold windows opening out onto Church Street. For $12 you can get a range of meals with a beer - that's pretty good value even among all the Church St restaurants competing for the lunch crowds attention. I usually grab the steak and blue cheese sauce with salad and chips. Its a decent size meal and the blue cheese sauce is amazing. Just a hint though - order your steak a bit more cooked what what you would usually order. I like rare to medium so I order medium. They tend to under cook them a bit. The only downside is that you can't swap the beer for another drink and a glass of coke is about $4 so you may as well enjoy the beer! But that aside its a great lunch spot and for $12 for a meal and a beer you can't go wrong!

Where the locals meet the workers for Friday night schooners! Massive outdoor beer garden as well as a Tab area for those who want to bet and also thy have dj's on Saturdays in the gasworks bar. They also have a nightclub that starts up around 9:00 pm, though I was a little too early for that (and I'm probably getting a bit too old for nightclubs these days anyway, though I still enjoy the odd dance). Anyway, ignoring it's attempts of fame the Woolpack is, well, a rather bland hotel, despite it's age (even if it isn't the oldest). It's your typical suburban pub - pokies, sports bar, dining room, beer garden and the like. I didn't mind it, but that probably had more to do with its age than anything else. I doubt I'd visit this place again anyway.

On the other had it was a pretty dingy looking pub, more for the locals than out of towners life myself. The service was pretty ordinary and I really didn't particularly feel comfortable here. Mind you, the outdoor area is actually quite nice, being on the roof of the shopping centre and all, however once you go inside you pretty much it the 'same old dodgy pub' experience. Even if you live in the area, there are much better places in nearby Parramatta to visit that spend any amount of time here (unless you like the rooftop deck).

They also serve pub food (burgers, fries, and the like) as well as dinner, and past 5pm, the place is always full of tired, happy people just looking to unwind after work. On the weekends, it's a slightly dressier crowd, with people coming here for dinner under the stars, and I always enjoy my time spend here.
