New & upscale Pilates studio in Springhouse. The owner and rep at the front desk were friendly. Check in was quick and all done via the computer. I came in for the free intro class which lasted 30 minutes. This place has all the whistles and gadgets. The studio utilizes the reformer machine, Pilates board, Pilates chair, Bosu ball, barre & other fitness equipment. Pricing is expensive (i.e. 4 classes is ~$90) but there is a current deal going on with a lower initiation fee and 10% off the 8 class pack and unlimited classes if you take an intro class and decide to join. I skipped joining since I have ClassPass and a Retro gym membership. I'd come back if the studio decides to affiliate themselves with ClassPass but I prob won't be back.

The class utilizes the Pilates Reformer machines which was very interesting to use as a first timer but I truly enjoyed it. I have only done mat pilates before at global gyms and lemme tell ya... not the same. At. All. Karen was the instructor and she was very attentive. Looking forward to my next class.

Totally worth it, do yourself a favor and buy a Pilates Reformer package and just try it! Before I tried this studio: I only recently tried Pilates on the reformer while recovering from foot surgery (so I have some special needs as I rebuild muscle and get stronger). I had gone to 4 sessions at 2 other studios before this (in LA and Austin). I was liking how I could immediately start to feel the workouts tone my body, but was on the fence about how mentally engaging and motivating the sessions were (practically the same exact routine all four times), and its too expensive to be on the fence. Then I went to Faye's Art & Soul Yoga. Her classes are always a surprise because she has a slue of exercises and really mixes it up for a great full body work out - the hour flies by. I've only gone a few weeks but I haven't been to the same class twice. She plays motivating music which I found to be joyfully unique. She promotes yoga stretches in between so even though you SWEAR you'll be sore after the workout, you really aren't. And she is super sweet to boot. I wish she could move with me out to Seattle because I don't know how I'm going to find a studio I like as much as Art & Soul Yoga :(

She told me about the studio and the classes, and how I can get the first class free, etc. I went in to check it out a week later, and was happy to see the place to be so inviting and cozy. It's nested inside a strip mall and not much to look at from the outside, but inside it opens up to a comfortable waiting area with nooks to store you stuff, and a large studio with wooden floors and ambient lighting. Vicki is a wonderful teacher who is very pleasant and relaxed. She doesn't push you at all, and she teaches you to be patient and non-judgmental with yourself, and do what your body tells you. I find the classes a good workout in terms of strengthening your body and improving flow. And I like how she incorporates a lot of mindfulness into the practice, so the experience is very holistic. I've not taken too many classes with other teachers, but they each have their own style; you just have to find what works for you. They do offer various levels and classes in addition to yoga, so there are many options. The rate is also reasonable. You can get an 8-class pass that doesn't expire, which is great if you aren't sure how often you'll go (a lot of other places only honor a pass for a certain number of months). I definitely recommend this place if you want to try out yoga in a comfortable and caring environment.

I love the studio; big enough to have room to stretch out, but not an auditorium or anything. Very cozy and calm. I've enjoyed the classes I've done (Basic 2 with Dee and Yoga With Irma). Both are a little slower than some of the popular Power Yoga classes around the area, but it was exactly what I'm looking for! A great pace that allows me to really focus on my breath and form, not just "power" through it. There are a variety of classes to try, so this studio seems great for the beginner and the yogi alike. As the other review mentioned, the price is actually amazing. $12 drop in and ten classes for $80? I can tell you, that is the best price in the area, and I know because I've been looking for a place just like this! I will definitely report back after I've had a few more classes here, but I'm sold right now and I don't envision that changing. They also have some pretty interesting looking workshops that I will definitely try in the future. So happy to have found Yoga One!

She was really awesome about keeping a slow pace and giving easy modifications for almost every pose. Each class she added more poses to the Ashtanga flow. The class size was was small and intimate, so Shari was able to give each of us a lot of personalized attention. She also taught us the opening chant. I have since "graduated" from the Yoga Basics course and started taking Ashtanga Foundations classes in the evenings. The Monday night class with Erica was a little crowded (maybe a dozen yogis), so I felt cramped after my intimate experience with the Yoga Basics course. Erica as a teacher was great (I wasn't used to such a fast pace)! She acknowledged that I was new and paid close attention to my poses. The Sunday evening class with Meredith/Cassie was more intimate with 5 yogis (surprisingly, mostly men). We opened the class with the opening chant and there was enough time to work on some hip opening poses towards the end. I left this class feeling high on life. The studio itself is quaint and homey. The area where you leave your shoes can get a bit crowded between classes. The atmosphere is immediately calming with quiet music, incense, candles, water fountains and an altar. There is a second room for meditation and I'm guessing massage. There are two bathrooms as well. Yoga mats and other accessories are available for purchase on site.

There are classes for beginners and more experienced students alike but what sets it apart from any other studio in 40 miles radius is Mysore program. This is a class where everybody practices by themselves in a group and the teacher is there to help and offer individual instruction. It is like having a private class. The best class for beginners, and advanced students alike. Everybody moves at their own pace, truly non competitive and very safe environment.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from her. Melissa is exceptionally knowledgeable, incredibly detail-oriented, and one of the kindest, most patient teachers I've had the privilege of practicing with. She gives her full attention to everyone, creating an environment where you feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn. The few Mysore classes I've taken with Melissa certainly won't be my last. Each one has left me feeling well cared for, inspired, and eager to continue growing in my practice. Thank you, Melissa, for everything you do. I'm so grateful that my yoga journey led me to Marla, and now to you as well and couldn't imagine my practice without any of you.
