I stayed here twice a few years ago and loved Braemar and Clunie Lodge. Host's so welcoming and attentive, but not intrusive. I couldn't recommend this place for a quiet highland get away enough! Looking forward to getting back! read more

Best B&B we have visited in our 3 week trip to Scotland. We were greeted by a very friendly host,…read morewho offered us tea on our arrival. She showed us to our lovely room, with queen sized bed and bathroom with modern fixtures and heated towel racks. The hospitality tray had cake slices instead of the typical cookies, well equipped with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and long life milk packets. There was ample place to store clothes, dresser, 2 night tables with click radio, and armoire. Great breakfast with cooked or continental options and juice, cereals, fruit, and yogurt containers set out for the taking. Bed was stiff, pillows nice and soft, either down or feather. Had great conversations with husband and wife hosts. This is the place to stay in Braemar.

The property is a beautiful stone Victorian house well and detailed kept outside and inside. The rooms and the Breakfast areas are very warm and cozy, spotless clean. The owners, Kenneth and Graham make you feel welcome at anytime and at home. They have always, a courteous, smiley, positive helpful and professional attitude. The breakfast are deliciously made with fresh ingredients that make you feel ready to enjoy the day! I definitely will come back and I recommend it! Way to go Kenneth and Graham!! As Scots say: 'Slainte Mhath' instead of the English 'Cheers'.

For an evening meal we were directed to an hotel just a short walk through Aviemore, and the recommendation was spot on. The short walk back was definately required to "see off" the fantastic meal we enjoyed! Our room was quiet, clean and very well equipped. As for the breakfast, typically Scottish, with "Pete's Porridge" a must. Both proprieters very much "hands on" and clearly experienced, and happy in the business. When next in the area we will definately book The Cairngorm GH again.
