After she placed the acupuncture needles, the lights are dimmed and gentle music is played. Catherine checks on you a few minutes and the treatment goes on for about half hour. I felt so relaxed after the treatment. After just a couple visits, my back pain subsided at least 70%. I still had some tightness, but the pain had quit radiating. I am so happy! I feel more mobile and able to stand longer. I wouldn't hesitate to go back for a maintenance session or for any new issues. My experience with acupuncture was great and I can highly recommend.

Most who are obviously rushing through as many warm bodies as fast as possible to get a quick buck. Sometimes they adjusted one spot and don't even inquire about other problem areas. Or they over-schedule and I had to sit and wait only to be rushed through because 2 or 3 people were waiting after me. Whatever the case, they didn't take the time to focus on what I needed. They seemed more interested in getting a quick crack and sending me to the receptionist to sign me up for another visit. Some of the places had so many chiropractors I was seeing someone different each visit. I want my chiropractor to know my case. I want my chiropractor remember I just returned from a work trip and need an adjustment because I was sitting in a cramped airplane seat. I also want a chiropractor who knows what they are doing. Carmel greeted me right at the door and was so friendly and accommodating! If you park in the lot, she will validate your parking ticket for you. Doctor Monica spent over an hour with me for a consultation and adjustment. We spoke in depth about my pain and concerns, and then she explained what she believed we needed to work on. She said she really focuses on muscle therapy, in addition to adjustment, which has already made a world of difference after one visit. I've been dealing with a shoulder injury for 8 years, and it has recently worsened. After one session with her, I am feeling much better. I then had a massage with Alicia, and it complimented my adjustment perfectly! I've never had a professional massage focus time on my head and feet, and it felt so nice! Important to point out, the practice is currently only accepting BCBS insurance. I'm fortunate to have that so I only have a co-pay for the adjustment and massage, but if you don't have BCBS, the massage would be $80, and I'm not sure the cost of the adjustment. Also worth noting is that the office space is so nice! It's clean, modern, inviting, and has spa vibe to it, as opposed to a medical office. I was in a car…read moreaccident 9 months ago and completed an entire treatment plan of chiropractic adjustments at a different practice until they said I was on "maintenance" even though I was still having severe neck pain, fatigue and numbness on left side of my face with headaches. I did a treatment plan of Physical therapy which helped some, but still did not resolve all of my symptoms. I was at my wits end when I called and scheduled with McAlpine chiro. For the first time since my accident, I finally felt heard and could sense his genuine compassion and eagerness to want to help me. After the first two adjustments I already had relief from the pain that I had for 8 months. Soon my mood improved, my extreme fatigue started to go away, and the pain was minimal. For 8 months my whole life was on pause. I was a completely different person. Once I went to McAlpine Chiro, I started making plans for activities with my family again! After x-rays, an assessment of my pain areas, he completely explained what he needed to do to help me. He is a good listener and takes his time with patients, giving them individual care with no rushed feeling. After a few treatments, I'm happy to report, I'm in good shape.
