One of the important things in life is a garage you can trust with your beloved car. Or your car anyway. CM Auto Services are a family-run independent business. I've been using them for over 15 years and have had no problems. Personally, I'm a bit of an automotive hypochondriac. I hear a strange clonking or squeaking and suddenly I think the car's going to blow up. The kind folk at CM Auto Services don't laugh at me at all. They have a look and then if it's not all in my imagination they fix it. One time the car was making the worst burning smell. I took it in and the nice mechanic unravelled the carrier bag I'd got wrapped around my exhaust and didn't even charge me! Look on their website for a detailed map of how to get there. read more

What a bunch of dishonest cowboys. My wife has just picked up our car from an MOT with CM Autos to find that the drivers side window has been damaged and no longer opens. It was working perfectly before it went in for the MOT. I know this as my wife opens it everyday to reverse down the drive. She took the car straight back to the garage who told us that they started opening the window and it dropped down so it wasnt their fault and it must have already been broken. My wife returned home and we phoned them, only to receive a different lie, that they had wound the window down and then it broke when they tried to wind it back up, still they would not accept any responsibilty. I then went to the garage myself where i was told a different version of events by the garage owner. This time he said that the window would not open from the beginning. He said that they had to open the window for the MOT but i have since checked and the MOT does not even require the opening of a side window. I did find it strange that if testing the window was necessary for the MOT why did the car pass the MOT, surely it should have failed in that case ? We have been fed one lie after another from these jokers. Some heavy handed mechanic has broken the window and I am convinced that they thought if they kept quiet about it we may not notice for a week or two and then we would assume it had just broken. I was also told that if i didnt like it i could take my business elsewhere, which i will be doing, whilst telling everyone i know what an awful company this is. What annoys me the most is the blatant dishonesty they have displayed. They did not even have the decency to tell us it had happened or give us an apology. I strongly advise that you avoid using these muppets. read more

Don't trust this shower, totally disreputable. I asked them to do an MOT, they then came back and said they'd done work I didn't ask for or authorise, then charged twice the going rate and refused to give the car back until I paid their inflated prices. read more

I've alway been pleased with the service I have from CM Auto I find them honest and reasonably priced. They took the time to look at my car when I have a knocking noise in the rear, nothing found but I had some advice on the possible cause and they did not charge me for the time they spent on it. I would recommend them to anyone based on my own experience. read more

The car came into the garage on an extremely cold Saturday morning. We were unaware that the window was unable to open until the vehicle was tested on the brake test rolling road. A remote control cable is connected to the brake testing machine and is operated by the mot tester whilst sitting in the driviers seat. The cable is run through the open drivers door or drivers window. During the test the cable was run through the drivers door as the window would not open. We were aware at this stage that there was a problem with the drivers window but did not consider that we had caused any damage as it was in this condition when brought to the garage. We suggested that as it had been an extremely cold morning it was probable that the window had frozen and had been forced prior to the car being brought to the garage and the problem only became apparent when the window was opened later in the day. As it was a Saturday morning with limited opening hours and parts availability, we were unable to carry out any repairs but you were told to bring the car in during the following week. On the Monday we telephoned and offered the use of the courtesy car and as an act of goodwill would rectify and repair any problem with the window. The family have been coming to the garage for a considerable number of years and are all well liked and respected by myself and staff. I am extremely disappointed that we were not given the opportunity to rectify this matter and you felt it necessary to make the comments that you have via the internet. read more

On the recommendation of a friend I had my car serviced and an mot at CM Auto Services. I also needed two new tyres. I rang for a quote prior to my visit and was delighted that when I collected my car t the bill was less than expected. The tyres were also a really, really good price. The girls in the office and the owner were cheerful and helpful and I will definately use CM Auto Services in the future.Thank you for an excellent service. read more

Not sure about these guys. They give you a courtesy car, but the service bill was £50 more than estimated. I hadnt used them for 3 years as one of their receptions was so rude that they did not desrve any business at all. read more
