I told her I would not be home but my partner would be as he's in a wheelchair, so please ask the technician to give him time to get to the door. She asked for his name and number and she'd have them call ahead to give him plenty of time to get into his wheelchair. The technician was also extremely helpful and kind with my partner. Matt is a very knowledgeable and personable young man. He had no trouble at all with snaking the main, but before he could put his equipment away a secondary issue was discovered. Matt had to climb up on the roof and clean out the vent pipe and did it with ease. Major Drain has been out to our house several times over the years, and have always been quick to respond and always reasonably priced. Meeting Matt today was an added bonus. Nobody wants sewer problems, but Major Drain will be the one I call when it happens again.

After an hour or so, I was informed the snake was getting stuck, and he had to call a camera guy in. Camera guy informs me that tree roots have damaged my line and a 30' section needs to be replaced to the tune of over 9k. I called a small local company for a second opinion. It wasn't tree roots - the line itself was broken and everything was draining into the dirt, hence the backflow when there was more water than could be quickly absorbed. They recommended the same amount of line be replaced, but for half the price.
