They have supposed to have ordered manual scales rather than the previous electronic ones that kept failing. Add to the fact that twice now I have encountered goods wrongly priced: Flowers in a bucket for £5 turned out to be £10 Excuse: Customers putting things in the wrong place. Unfortunately, the argument didn't hold as there was no bucket marked £10. Half priced batteries was 13.99 for 18, sale price: 6.99. At the till they were 7.99. Excuse: Offer must have ended, but shelf price not updated. If the offer had ended then the price should have come up at 13.99!!!! One bonus is that the staff are really helpful and friendly, even if sometimes the excuses used by some are not quite right. Now dropping to to two star. 23/8/11 I go away for a couple of weeks' holiday and return and find that the scales have disappeared at the Redditch store. I am not sure if this is across the whole chain. This is ridiculous. How am I now supposed to get the right loose quantities for a recipe? I have been to customer services and they have said I could get them weighed there, but this would mean getting in a queue each time. Alternatively, bring the whole amount in one go and go backwards and forwards to either return items or get extra items to meet the weight I require. I'm not looking for fancy scales that will print the price and weight, and connect to the store's database. I just need to be able to put things on a scale and ascertain the weight of the goods. Is that too much to ask? What next? Remove the scales at the deli, fish and meat counters? It was interesting to note that the cashier I asked today didn't even know that the scales had been removed. So there seems to have been little consultation with the staff. There wasn't even a notice to explain why they have been moved. I then found out from customer services that they kept breaking down. What this now means that they have reduced the customer service by not providing an obvious tool to the shopper. I think that this may be the start of a trend within supermarket in general.

The co op has stores dotted all over the country and in all the weirdest places…read more This co op however is on ansty road and is actually a fairly big store. The store has magazines when you first go in, the tills are to the left. They sell the usual amenities, frozen food , tinned foods, a bakery at the rear fro break cakes and pastries. The have chilled foods and the usual milks/yoghurts too. They generally keep the store looking relatively clean and tidy, only on a few occasions has there been room to differ. The staff are also helpful , know the store and and mostly always happy. They will have a chat to you and also give a hand packing your bag if struggling or ask for help. Prices at the co op have been and always will be great value. All their products are very competative against other companies so gives them an adequate foothold in the market. The co-cop's fresh coissants are really tasty as well as their bendy cookies. Get there early though or they will be gone. Thats how nice they are!

It is fairly big inside and they have all of usual things that you would expect from a convenience store, such as newspapers, snacks, a few toiletries and other bits and bobs. I have always found what I needed easily too, which is good as I hate not being able to find what I want! Although, if I could not find anything I would not hesitate to ask the staff because they always seem really friendly and very polite, which is nice and also refreshing. The prices are alright, perhaps a little pricey, but overall it is a good convenience store as the service is good and the store has been useful to me on more than one occasion!

After purchasing items from poundland store in Nuneaton, to discover on my return home I had left…read morethem behind at the self checkout. Me telephone calls to the store were unanswered, I then emailed Poundland customer service, who answered promptly with two suggestions re what to do. I returned to the Nuneaton store the next day producing my receipt explaining my dilemma to a very polite female supervisor, requesting me to wait while she checked the camera. After a short wait she returned to me explaining that I had walked away leaving my products at the till point. She then preceeded to collect a duplicate of my items from the shelves. Also, they always have great offers on and there adverts are great, and im watching one while writing this now. the only supermarket to sell 100% british Beef. Quality food The staff wear some stange uniform which always gets on my nerves. They are not partically helpful either. Parking isnt great and traffic around this area can be very busy. I advise to shop around for the deals, also morrisons did have Ben and Jerrys for under £2. Thats Cheap!
