This is a really nice hotel in the middle of nowhere Alabama. I chose it because it's about halfway…read morein between Huntsville and Chattanooga, which worked out well for my baseball road trip. The staff here is so friendly and the breakfast is better than I've experienced at any other Hampton inn. Biscuits every day, southern style gravy, berry waffles, or chocolate waffles (not both on the same day), it's so good. Housekeeping every other day with full service every fourth. It's good that way. I never had any trouble parking or with construction noises. There are very few spaces in front so you'll need to park out back and either walk around or use your key to get in the building. Some spaces are taken up by construction trailers but I still saw plenty of parking. Price is not too bad, in dollars or points, especially if you book well ahead of time. My room was quiet despite being right next to the elevator, further rooms are likely even quieter. Unfortunately all they had available when I selected my room was right next to elevator on second floor or same room on fourth floor which also had adjoining room. I figured second floor without adjoining room would be quieter and was right. It was fine. All in all a very nice hotel, not much nearby though since this is rural Alabama. Chains and a couple mom and pop shops in downtown scottsboro a couple miles away.

When I was searching this one looked really nice and it was near lots of different places to eat and shop. When I had called to ask for a non-first floor room, they told me that they were doing renovations and I asked if I could get a upgraded hotel room that's already been renovated and I was able to get that. The breakfast was very good. lots of different choices you can make a waffle. You can have a bagel. They have avocados out there too The dark roast coffee was amazing. If I come up to this area again, I definitely will stay at this facility The only thing I would suggest is putting more towels in the bathrooms. And also the thermostat in our room was not working so we can tell what the temperature was.

Wow, what a great place! Right at two hours from Birmingham, AL, so a pretty easy run. We went to use Amex Hilton free night benefits and they were kind enough to up-grade us to the side of the facility with the better views and a balcony. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The pool an hot tub looked really inviting, but it was just a little too cold for me to take the dip (I regret that decision now btw). Be sure to call ahead to ask about the amenities. For example, the hotel has its own six-hole course that I think you can play for free. Had I known, I'd of brought my clubs an booked a t-time. My wife went to the spa and said it was great.

The staff is top notch and the rooms are well appointed. We had a room on the Terrace level where we could walk right out to the heated pool and hot tub (which we skipped, but it looked amazing)! It's very dog-friendly with walking and hiking trails, stunning golf course, fire pits, games, and other amenities, for just about any visitor. The only thing that missed the mark was the food service and quality. We went to Croft, but I expect the food quality is similar at both onsite restaurants.). Otherwise, it's a magical spot to spend any long weekend or holiday.

The place is worn-out and in sad shape. Our room was labeled "Presidential Suite" but was anything…read morebut that. The tables looked like they had been cut from worn-out doors. The beds were firm with only sheets and a thin bedspread and a hole in the top sheet, inadequate on a cold night in a room that never really warmed-up. Baseboards were separating from the wall. The flush lever on the toilet was coming-out of the water tank. The curtain across the one window looked like it has been recovered from somebody's cast-off drapes. The confirmed price for the night was $59 but the clerk at the front desk said there was a problem with the website so the cost was $80. The only good thing about the room was it was fairly clean with no bad smells. No way will I ever be back or recommend it to anyone.

I immediately called and asked why I am being charged for a canceled room. They told me to prove I canceled. I had a copy of the email with the cancellation date showing it was a month before my check in day. Trying to get my money back from these rude inconsiderate people had been a nightmare. They have a small window they barley open and the language barrier was a challenge. They do everything on paper no computer. Never ever give these thieves your card number or you will lose. The owner parks her car in the place customers usually pull in so that shows how rude they are. I canceled due to the complaints of dirty rooms and bed bugs. Stay away from this motel hell.
