That kind of real-world exposure is important when someone is learning. Kelly, the receptionist and assistant, was also extremely helpful. She provided scheduling information promptly and made the process smooth and organized. Overall, the pricing is reasonable, the instruction is thorough, and most importantly my son felt safe, supported, and heard throughout the process. I liked the fact that I could reach someone when I called and they were able to answer my questions. I signed my daughter up on their website and selected the class schedule. I had pay a deposit and the rest was due at the first lesson. Well something came up and at the last minute I needed to change the date. I called them and it was no problem. The morning of class we arrived and they were well organized and well prepared. They even had coffee and pastries. Everything was on schedule. Parents are required to attend the first hour and then it's the teenagers for the next two weekends. My daughter attended and passed all of her tests. Finally she was ready to hit the road with one of their instructors. She had to complete 8 hours and take a test before getting her license. They prepared her for everything and now she has her license. I definitely recommend Drive Dat Academy. They are a no nonsense company that takes driving seriously. The don't cut corners and I feel that they prepared my daughter.

I have had other people recommend them to me as well.

It has been over four months and still waiting for opportunities to schedule times for the last two drives. Not sure if this is a staffing problem or what. This was my experience today: I went to Academics of Driving LLC in Covington with my daughter for her driving test this morning... We were instructed to bring masks with us when we scheduled the appointment yesterday. As soon as we arrived, I noticed two 8"x10" signs in the entryway stating "FACE MASK REQUIRED", yet none of the 3 staff members I encountered immediately upon entering were masked. When the instructor (Mike) invited me and my daughter into his office, I said politely but assertively: "I'm not comfortable with the no-mask situation." He smirked and asked if I was serious. I said: "Yes; I have respiratory conditions and I need to be very careful." My daughter nodded to confirm. He replied: "And you think this thing [gesturing to the flimsy gaiter slung around his neck] will protect you?" I didn't know how to answer that so I just sort-of stared blankly at him for a minute. He smirked again and pulled the gaiter up over his mouth and nose -- and he had to keep pulling it back up over his nose because it kept slipping every time he talked. The other (older) guy in the room didn't say anything (also an employee, apparently, but I didn't get his name), but he excused himself to go outside and he came back in wearing a disposable surgical mask. And I thanked him for doing so -- sincerely. Then the instructor (Mike) said he needed me to fill out and sign several papers, but I was uncomfortable leaning over his desk into his face, so I took the papers back out into the hall/entryway and held them up to the wall to fill out. The other (now-masked) guy politely brought me a clipboard to use "so the pen doesn't run out of ink". My daughter (double-masked) was in a car with that ***hole (Mike) for the next 15-20 minutes during which time he asked her overly personal questions and commented how he "remembered" one of her co-workers... This dude is easily in his 50s and my daughter and her coworker are TEENagers.

I took the driving test for age group of 18 and older took me a few times to pass the written exam…read morehonestly was my fault went to sleep in 6 hour class took me 4 times to pass written test you can take the written part as many times as needed But my instructor Mr. Piper was GREAT excellent teacher patient he's 100 out of 10 honestly I drove with for 8 hours 2hours a day for 4 days he said I was one of his best students but recommended this school you have to pay attention I recommend once yu sign up take home book a read it and study it before your 6 hour class that's a lot to learn in 6 hours if u don't pass they will not give you your license at all but I started the class July 22,2023 & got my license 9/08/2023 I'm happy to be done and be legal on the road THANK YOU MR.Piper
