They boarded our large dog in the same kennel as our small dog, even though specifically told not too. This made our larger dog reactive to small dogs and since have had to rehome our small dog. Devastating truly. read more

I am MORE than happy with Kira's service! She went above and beyond. I had planned our trip several months in advance and she had kept her word in reserving our space for the holidays. The owner here is wonderful. She has a true love for dogs. She helps out an adoption company called Second Chance Dogs. They had a dog there We were interested in. They did a wonderful introduction and felt comfortable the whole time. Even though the adoption didn't work out the friendliness we went felt from this was great. We have been taking our dogs to Coal Creek for several years and they always come home happy and tired. Kira is hands on with the dogs all the time making sure they're happy and get along. She adjusts play groups if a couple dogs aren't getting along to ensure all dogs get to play safely and happily. Her neighbors seem to have unrealistic expectations on living near a dog boarding house. The dogs bark during playtime and the day but not all night when they're kenneled and sleeping. She's taken great strides to try to keep things quiet but dogs bark sometimes. She is fabulous with our animals. They love her. read more

My husband and I are planning a trip to the UK next year and our first thought was, what about Tren. Tren is our 10 year old half corgi, half blue Heeler. She hasn't been to see Diane for years as we haven't lived in the area for quite awhile. Diane just plain spoiled us for any other kennel! Tren has been to several, in different states, some of which she probably shouldn't have. Seems I have gotten a bit off track! I was looking online to make sure Diane was still in business after my hubby asked if Diane was still open. I said she better be!!! Hence looking up Diane online and having finally found her in Yelp!! So in a nutshell....you will be extremely hard pressed to find a better kennel. I dare you!!! read more

Great Experience. I took my two cats here for 3 nights. Everything was very clean and the staff was very friendly. They request you bring your cat bed, your cats favorite toy and cat food. Such a wonderful place for dogs! Kira walked us around the property so we felt comfortable leaving our puppy for the night. She took care in introducing Diego to dogs with complimenting personalities, making sure he was comfortable (it was his first time being boarded since we adopted him). Upon returning, she gave us an update on how he did for the night. We like that Kira limits the number of dogs so that she can spend time with each of them. I took my cat to The Boarding House for Cats and Dogs for a 10 day stay. He was checked by his vet 3 days before being left. When I returned the owner had taken it upon herself to change his diet from the one I left instructions to follow, which was 2 small cans of Fancy Feast one morning and evening. He has no teeth so it is difficult for him to eat dry food and the wet food provides extra liquid to his diet. She cut him down to 1/2 can a day. When I picked him up he could not walk, was not eating or drinking any water. I took him to the vet again only to find he had lost 2 pounds in the 10 day stay, was severely dehydrated and had an intestinal infection. Diane, at the time I picked him up said he was very calm and hardly moved. She cut his food down because he pooped to much and it smelled. My cat had to have fluids thru an IV and has had to be force fed for the last 4 days. read more

Weird, we called this place today on the advice of our vet. My husband talked to a woman who answered the phone who said they had plenty of room for our 3 dogs: two rat terriers and a basset hound. She asked what time we wanted to bring them in and he told her. My husband overheard a man in the background ask what kind of dogs we had. When the lady told him, the man said they're full this weekend. Wth? If I could, I'd choose no stars but I had to select at least one for the review. read more

This is the place to board your animals if you care for them and don't want to worry about them while they are away from you. We boarded our dog for the first time since we adopted her from a shelter that specializes in abused dogs. She has come along way to being a happy, well adjusted doggie from the wall hugging wreck when we first brought her home. We were very concerned that she might revert back if we left her for a night. But this place is so great, clean, caring wonderful owner and employees. They told me to call and check on my dog if I wanted to know how she was doing, no problem. She was fine and when we picked her up she had no change in her behavior. They are reasonably priced and will accommodate any special diet needs. We have used their service many times now and never have to worry. We know that our dog is being well taken care of. read more

Our puppy recently stayed for one night here and it was his first night away from us. I was nervous about how he would do. It was the cleanest and quietest kennel I have ever seen. The owner was friendly and helpful and even emailed me to let me know he was doing fine. He had access to a grassy yard 4 times a day and excellent care. We've been boarding our pets at the Boarding House For Cats & Dogs for years, and I only recently started using Yelp, so thought I should write a review. If there was a TEN STAR rating, I'd give it. Diane is THE BEST around - we won't take our pets anywhere else. We live 45 minutes away, and on the off-chance that she has no vacancies (when we're being spontaneous - it's best to plan in advance!) we'll actually change our plans so that they can stay there. Diane has kept our pets there for anywhere from a few days to 4 weeks, and they come home totally happy! They're not "stored," they are cared for and exercised and given proper attention. Our cat is the type who completely flips out at the vet, but he likes it at Diane's! He settles in nicely and has a stress-free stay. He's completely un-phased! Diane has the highest standards I've seen - the place is immaculate, orderly, and calming. She has the same high standards concerning her staff as well - I've met a few over the years, and they've been great. Over the years, Diane has accommodated many special needs of our various pets, including dietary and medications. We know that we're leaving them in good, caring, capable hands every time! Her rates are more than reasonable as well - she actually should charge more. read more
