This is alternate hotel for our Caravan tour group because of the recent fires in Jasper. It was a nice town hear (lots of shops and restaurants) and the hotel was comfortable. In my opinion they had the best food (dinner buffet with salmon and sirloin steak) compared to the other places...lol!

Friendly staff and phenomenal location. It was one of the better prices and I booked on a whim so didn't have many choices left. I'd stay again if in town. A couple small gripes - the top sheet they use doesn't fit right and it shifts around the bed and is uncomfortable. The ACs turn off when you leave the room. There isn't a free breakfast. Otherwise it's a good spot and the staff were friendly and helpful and they were relaxed about letting me check in a little early which was nice. Lastly, many of the local tour shuttles pick up at the hotel as their main Canmore area stop.

Coast Canmore Hotel receives a 5 star rating mainly due to the very intense and impressive positive customer service. Two huge shoutouts, Mia from the restaurant and Kurt from the front desk reception. AMAZING JOB performed in both your stations throughout our 6 day stay here at Coast Canmore Hotel. Mia was very attentive to our requests, timely in food deliverance and follow ups, and even more knowledgeable in the menu, local hot spots and generally speaking very informative on town knowledge. Great attitude too Mia, wonderful. Kurt is the model display of respectful and all things customer service. He had such a wonderful demeanor and attitude in explaining charges, amenities available in the hotel and very thoughtful suggestions made that made this trip even more comfortable than the room. He recommended a local Korean restaurant that we took his advice on and made this experience less homesick for us busy travelers. His presentation was very clean as well and had an impressive polished appearance that did the hotel justice in image. The BBQ chicken was amazing Kurt thx! The Hotel itself is clean, perfectly located next to the downtown area and important restaurant spots like The Drake and Blake. Convenient parking, baggage trolleys, a very friendly staff (particularly house keeping & front desk) and tons of gorgeous views. Pool, jacuzzi and weight room were all kept clean and organized, much appreciated. Pricing, a little on the high side but to be expected for location, location, and location. Overall a great experience for us and we hope to be able to come back! Thanks!

This is what you get for $229 a night.

I just checked in at the Coast Canmore and I requested via email a week ago if they can give me a higher floor but I just learned today that they are giving me a second floor hotel with a view of the mountains and the flat roof with stones in the background. I am hoping that the service will be better than the room assignment or I have to go down to one stat.

The sheets were a nightmare. Not only did the bottom sheet not stay in place (exposing the mattress), but the duvet sandwich didn't stay in place, either, resulting in a tangle on the bed. To add further disappointment, we had housekeeping knocking on our door at 9:30 on Sunday, despite a 12 noon checkout time. PSA: if you prefer your TP or Kleenex to be softer than 80 grit, bring your own. We will be searching out other options for our next mountain stay.

Disgusting dusty tv If you can't dust that. What else is missed

Not a good experience at all. Clean sanitized rooms ? Absolutely not. No customer service at all. Still waiting on a clean coffee maker It's to bad because we always stay at coast hotels everywhere we go Never again

Happy hour and we were happy!

Absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel has recently been renovated but still kept some of the original charm - the stone fireplaces. Our room was a corner suite with windows on two walls. The in-room coffee is Starbucks. It is a clean contemporary feel with environmentally respectful soaps and shampoo. We dined in the hotel restaurant. I can't remember when I have had such a fabulous dinner. I had the braised beef while my hubby opted for a burger because I never finish my dish. Those of you who read my reviews know how important portions are to my big boy. This chef did not disappoint. The butternut squash risotto was indescribably delicious. This is now going to be our destination hotel. It literally has everything AND what it doesn't is a short walk across the street at a adorable new shopping centre. This hotel is walking distance to down town as well. Thank you Coast for a wonderful vacation.

I recently got married at Hive Gallery, and words cannot express how wonderful the experience was…read more Cheryl and the rest of the crew went above and beyond to make sure the day was absolutely perfect. Everything that I envisioned for the day was carried out perfectly, from the photo booth that was set up for us to the room where kids could hang out and watch Netflix. We opted to have the ceremony outside on their large balcony, and it was truly a beautiful setup, with flowers entwined over an archway above us and the mountains surrounding us. Cheryl was even so kind as to record the whole ceremony for us, as my husband's family was unable to attend, so we will have a very special piece of the day to share with them when we go visit. The staff took care of all the decor based on inspiration photos that I had provided and assembled floral bouquets for all the tables, which were absolutely beautiful. The food, which was provided by Cornerstone Catering, was delicious... the best creme brûlée I've ever had! And when it came time for dancing, the tables were moved away, the disco lights came on, and their very talented DJ went to work, playing songs that kept the dance floor busy all night! I received so many complements from people who attended, telling me how beautiful the venue and the ceremony/reception were. I would not change anything about the day, as it was executed perfectly. Thank you to the staff at Hive Gallery for making my wedding day so magical!

My wedding reception was recently hosted at the Hive. I am writing this review to provide feedback…read moreto others considering the same, and to experience some sort of catharsis after an overall awful experience on what should have been a happy day. I have never felt so belittled, disregarded, and demeaned in a professional relationship. Before I provide insight into my negative experiences, I should recognize areas where the Hive excelled. The Hive is a beautiful facility with an interesting layout that lends itself well to smaller groups hosting events. The art work is top notch, and the décor of the wedding itself was put together beautifully. Staff members worked hard to choose, create, and set up flower arrangements and accommodate color selections. Staff members accommodated our guests with specific food restrictions, and ordered/picked up 2 meals from a local restaurant. This was going above and beyond as I expected needing to ask a family member to do this. The Hive hired an exceptional bartender to work the main bar. I had nothing but positive interactions with her and received good feedback from our guests. I will also say that our guests largely had a good time, enjoyed the venue, and had fun with the adult paint room. The Hive agreed to set up a photo booth with short notice (although this only required setting up a small digital camera on a tripod, securing a black sheet over a wall, and placing props I had already purchased on tables/hooks). The Hive was also good at adding small touches, such as placing blankets on the backs of chairs of outdoor guests for comfort. I realize my review is lengthy. In this case, the length is directly proportional to the level of difficulty we had in planning the wedding with the Hive. Due to character restrictions on Yelp, I cannot post my entire review here. I urge you to read the full thing on Trip Advisor (https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Attraction_Review-g181727-d9765610-Reviews-The_Hive_Gallery_Gatherings-Canmore_Kananaskis_Country_Alberta.html). If you do not have time, I will briefly sum up my experience. From the onset, there were communication issues. Complete information was not always provided; contradiction and inconsistency were instead the standard. I felt that the process was poorly organized and scattered. Major changes were proposed to our program, and contracts with the caterer as many as 5 days, and as little as 1 day before the wedding. Arrangements were not carried out as requested and agreed upon. I urge you to visit the Trip Advisor review for an abundance of concrete examples of my experiences.

Pros: +Location has great access to Banff National Park +Lots of great nearby espresso, esp. Eclipse +Great waterslide for the kids +Unique architectural layout +Underground parking +Private outdoor penthouse hot tub is sweet! +Washer/dryer is handy +Unit was clean Cons - mainly it's just all stuff in disrepair: -AirCon has 2 modes: super loud (65 db per my Apple watch) or off. Perhaps replacing the filter would make it better? Is there a way to allow the guest to adjust the fan speed? Also it doesn't work great, takes 2 hrs to get from 78F to 72F. -Screen door has large hole in it. And other door has no screen at all. -Kitchen faucet is partially broken -Downstairs enclosed shower has many fancy functions but none of them work - which makes it just a basic shower (better than none for sure) -The hot tub area has hundreds of weeds in the rockery. -The only nearby elevator has been out of service for a day+ -The only condiments provided in the kitchen are salt and pepper, normally vacation condos have a lot more -When we arrived the cushions for the outdoor furniture were in the master closet If all of these were fixed I'd go 4 or maybe 5 stars. Stair concerns: If on the 4th floor there are lots of stairs inside the unit, toddlers and elders beware Stairs are all wood - while they look nice if someone falls it's gonna hurt a lot So in short lots of unrealized potential here.

Solid place to stay in Canmore…read more Having stayed here for 4 nights, I find this resort to have all the amenities we needed and it is conveniently located to everything, including Banff. All the common appliances are included and I especially like the indoor and outdoor spa next to lobby. I do think these suites need upgrade to the showers and the floors could be cleaner. Overall, this is a solid choice to stay at when visiting Banff. Recommend.
