5 star is for value. The spot is huge with a fireplace, full kitchen, laundry, and dishwasher. It also has the largest shower and bath tub I've seen in a while. The slower could literally fit 3 people. You could have a mini foam party in there. But I digress. This is basically renting a full apartment. It was a welcome and comfy stay, which was really needed after a day of hiking or climbing. Noise levels were fine, parking is simple, check in and out was standard. There's a cafe and bar attached to the hotel and it was easy to get around from this location. I think the reason it's a 5 and not a 4 is that it felt so good to come back to affordable comfort, instead of the planned car camping. That would've sucked. Hahaha Treat yourself a bit! We ended up going from freezing in a car with wet socks to cooking adobo and drying by the fire

The condo was in good condition except for the bathroom shower which was beyond disgusting. It looked like the condo and bathroom had been updated but the tile and shower pan were missed. Unfortunately we didn't notice the dirt and mold until late at night so we just put a towel on the floor to take a shower. I complained to the manager the next day and they refunded us $100 but I would have preferred a clean shower especially with Covid concerns. It left me wondering how clean the rest of the condo really was during our stay. The manager said they were having issues with their janitorial service and would look into it. I wouldn't want someone else to experience this level of filth so I am taking the time to write this review.

    Loved the fireplace!

Executive suite was better than expected, they really think of everything. We had a comfortable and spacious stay. I can't recommend this place enough!

Super modern design, we have a two bedroom condo with a balcony BBQ right on the corner of the property with a view of the pool and mountains. This feels so good compared to some of the other hotels we have stayed at in Canada. Everything has a really new feel and is super clean (free wifi0. I am so thankful to be staying here !!!

I only stayed one night here, on a trip galavanting through the Rockies, but I wish I had more nights there. We stayed in a suite, with a beautiful kitchen, laundry machines, bath and separate shower, fireplace in living area, and a BBQ on the patio. The hotel also has outdoor pool and hottub, and parking is in an underground garage below the hotel. It is just a bit out of town, a quick drive. They provide you with robes, slippers, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and even bath salts to relax after a long day of hiking or skiing. The only downside is when we were there the first week of June, there was no restaurant open in the hotel. But we had booked the quite with intentions to cook anyway, so we grilled. You'd also have the choice to go out to town. I will definitely be returning.

Not up to par for what they charge, even though I supposedly got a great deal I paid almost $600 for one night for one room, that's pretty crazy... And of course as soon as I showed up it was getting chilly already in Jasper so I went to turn on the fireplace and it didn't work... I'm not really sure why the maids don't check these things before they allow the new clients to arrive... So we called for help and it took almost 2 hours of fixing and even after that the fireplace would only work about half the time... Also did you know they make you sign a contract to promise to pay $500If you stay even one minute too late in the pool after the time of closing which is 10 PM... Also you get to pay $20 for you if you don't put all your dishes in the dishwasher afterwards... I find this ridiculous, and very mommy state, considering the price I paid if I wanna leave some dishes in the sink it shouldn't cost me an additional $20, that's absurd. I felt like asking the hotel if they were also going to fine me if I didn't wash out the tub and make my bed? I've never seen a contract like that and I've been staying in hotels almost 40 years.

We've stayed here multiple times; most recently just before Christmas for a couple of days skiing. This is an amazing resort hotel. The complex is newer, modern, slightly upscale and well kept. The beds are very comfortable. Parking is underground. The outdoor pool and hot tub are great any time of year.

Great place to stay while in Canmore. We enjoy the bbq for dinner and then hit the pool.

Pros: +Location has great access to Banff National Park +Lots of great nearby espresso, esp. Eclipse +Great waterslide for the kids +Unique architectural layout +Underground parking +Private outdoor penthouse hot tub is sweet! +Washer/dryer is handy +Unit was clean Cons - mainly it's just all stuff in disrepair: -AirCon has 2 modes: super loud (65 db per my Apple watch) or off. Perhaps replacing the filter would make it better? Is there a way to allow the guest to adjust the fan speed? Also it doesn't work great, takes 2 hrs to get from 78F to 72F. -Screen door has large hole in it. And other door has no screen at all. -Kitchen faucet is partially broken -Downstairs enclosed shower has many fancy functions but none of them work - which makes it just a basic shower (better than none for sure) -The hot tub area has hundreds of weeds in the rockery. -The only nearby elevator has been out of service for a day+ -The only condiments provided in the kitchen are salt and pepper, normally vacation condos have a lot more -When we arrived the cushions for the outdoor furniture were in the master closet If all of these were fixed I'd go 4 or maybe 5 stars. Stair concerns: If on the 4th floor there are lots of stairs inside the unit, toddlers and elders beware Stairs are all wood - while they look nice if someone falls it's gonna hurt a lot So in short lots of unrealized potential here.

As others have indicated, these truly are no-frills cabins and the Red Cabin we stayed in was definitely on the small side. So small, in fact, that it honestly felt crowded with just two of us, and I'm only 5'2" ! The "double" bed was small for 2 people, even with myself being relatively tiny, and my fiance who is 5'10" hung off the edge of the bed. The mattress itself wasn't comfy, and the pillows were lumpy and hard. On the final morning of our stay, we actually found some blood and what looked like stains on our sheets (not ours), and some dirty socks behind the TV that had been left behind by another guest previously. Water pressure was very much lacking in the shower, and unfortunately, I wouldn't say the bathroom, like the rest of the cabin, was overly clean. Despite these little bumps in the road (or the bed, as it were), we did enjoy our stay, and in particular, loved the gas fireplace in the cabin. The overall ambience was nice, but I would say that was largely due more to the charm of being in a cabin and getting the season's first snow in a gorgeous location as opposed to the resort itself. Overall, the prices are far more approachable than most cabins you'll find in Banff National Park. With that said, if you're looking for an extra comfy retreat and are going to get saddled with the heavy premiums that come with being in a tourism heavy region, I would recommend saving a little more and considering an upscale retreat that provides better luxury for your dollar.

Ann, the caterer, did a great job. The cabins: They're awesome. Beautiful and rustic, yet with all the modern amenities you'd expect. Everything is clean and well maintained. A few of them have large decks, perfect for having little mini-gatherings throughout the weekend. The barn (for speeches, dinner and dancing): Just great. Two floors, just enough space. I think we had 70 people or so, and we squeezed in. After dinner we just moved the tables aside and had plenty of space. They have a projector if you want to put anything up, and a nice sound system. We had a DJ, and there was space for him to set up as well. And a few random notes: - Marni is the best. She drove us all over the place with our photographer to get some truly amazing photos. Seriously, the photo tour was priceless. - The grounds are beautiful. If you're a city-dweller like us, it was such a lovely change of pace to have those beautiful mountain views. My family really enjoyed it as well. - It rained (Heavily!) during our ceremony, outside. We were initially panicking but Marni and the rest handled it like pros, wiping down the benches and handing out umbrellas. They even had a cart to give rides to the grandparents. It ended up being a great time. We were going to have a toast outside afterwards, but we just moved it to the barn instead. They transported the champagne and glasses so quickly no one even realized the plan had changed! - They have so many awesome lawn games to play. I only wish we had more spare time to enjoy them! Everyone had something fun to do, all the time. - They were super accommodating. We got a keg and big batch of donuts from inveremere, and they offered to drive them in the day of for us! - They recommended putting down some small lights to mark the path between barn and cabins. We did it, and it was definitely worthwhile - it gets dark! I'd give them 6/5 if I could. Worth every penny. My only regret is we couldn't stay longer!

It is close to downtown and grants access to many different trails that are great for biking, walking, hiking, running. The resort is a bit outdated and could benefit from renovations, but tbh, you spend most of the time outside of the resort, so as long as there's a place to sleep and a bathroom, that's the only thing that matters lol. It's nice to have a kitchen as well. The sofa bed is very uncomfortable and creaks a lot. When we pulled the mattress out, it looked so dirty, so we double layered the sheets. The bed inside the room is pretty comfortable and clean though. No major complaints about the bathroom, other than the toilet running like all night. They have a shuttle that runs on a schedule and transports people to and from downtown which is awesome. The amenities, like the gym, conference center, and pool are super old-fashioned. Hidden Ridge is located a bit farther from town, so if you don't have a rental car like us, you'll be relying on the bus system. The resort doesn't have an on-site restaurant but does offer a full kitchen, which was useful for storing leftovers and quick snacks thanks to the fridge and microwave. Our room was on the lower level, which made it feel a bit dark, it could definitely use more lighting. Also, Wi-Fi was nearly nonexistent due to the remote mountain location, so make sure to download your movies or shows in advance if you plan to unwind offline. The outdoor pool and hot tub boast a beautiful mountain view, but they were often filled with loud children, making it less relaxing than we'd hoped. Housekeeping came daily to tidy up, replace towels, and empty the trash, which we appreciated. Overall, it's an older resort, and the photos online look a bit nicer than what you get in person. I liked that there was some privacy - you just look out the window and see trees. However, because of the direction it is facing, it's a very dark room. I think the room can benefit from more lighting, like some overhead lighting. The window in the bedroom looks out to the car tires. There was also some weeds growing there. However, the hanging baskets were some of the best I saw - even better than some of the Fairmonts we visited. However, she did find one place that was within budget running about 225.00 per nite that was more reasonable so we booked this approximately one month prior. Although I had some trepidation with the quality, I was very impressed. It was a two level set up where the first level had a living room, kitchenette (equipped with stove, oven, pots/pans, utensils, microwave oven, and full size fridge), Large screen TV, full bathroom, wood burning fire place and balcony. The upper level was a charming loft with two queen size beds, a half bathroom, another flat screen TV, and spacious cabinetry. In addition, underground parking with our own assigned stall was provided. Other amenities included a pool, water slide, jungle gym for the tots, a large coin operated laundry mat, a liquor store, and convenient store. Some critiques included the following. The decor appeared significantly outdated late 70's-mid 80's where the hinges on the kitchen cabinetry was on its last legs and the electrical sockets were loose and need to be replaced. On a positive note, the bathroom had some modern retrofits. Lastly, there was no attached restaurant, but there was a restaurant in the next hotel. The front desk was OK, not great, but the room service was outstanding. Overall, for a reasonable price, we had an enjoyable stay that was child friendly with easy access to hiking trails and other modern conveniences.
