Great church. Wonderful sermons and worship. Pastor Joe is very spirit filled. Well, the whole church is! They have potlucks and other activities as well. I just pray the air conditioner would be turned off during the winter. It is too cold for me to sit inside. I have a low body temperature due to a chronic lung condition. So both of us had to stop attending. This is the one and only reason. As everyone here is nice and it's the place to be to grow in God's word. Approximately four years ago I attended "Coast Christian Fellowship" As soon as I walked through the doors I felt like I was "Home " A real sense of peace and comfort Where my faith led me . That was just walking in the door . I have long hair tattoos possibly judged as not your typical church going type , everyone I've met at Coast has been so kind . Since then I have brought many friends and their families to Coast many who haven't been to church in many years! The children , Teen and young adult programs at this church are amazing ! How often do you see teens actually involved in the church this place is special My friends kids 6-13 and love it here . The message from pastor Joe is delivered not just from the reading of the Bible verbatim. But also delivered in a way that compares to everyday life so it's easy to associate with and often in a way that will laugh and touch your heart ! I went to Coast when Guy was the pastor. Unfortunately, the church split and Joe took over. It was sad. I loved this church. Joe is nice man, however I don't think he is a meant to be the lead pastor. I came to him with a life threatening problem. He prayed for me and said he would get back to me. Absolutely no follow-up. Yes, it was hurtful. I've gone to this church for years. He knew me. I know the people at coast are hungry for God. There has to be more than the emotional songs. There has to someone who is called to be a lead pastor, not someone who just happened to be a coast to fill a spot and loves Jesus. The church needs someone to actually teach from the bible and not just talk about feelings. There is a war ahead. We need strong leaders. read more

Coast Christian Fellowship is really unlike many churches in the South Bay. This church is about friendship and family. These people really want to see everyone who walks through the doors find Christ's love, seek His healing, and find His ultimate calling in life. These people dig deep to find the core of who you are, find any place that God can mold you to being a more like Him. I have been a church-going girl all my life. When I first walked through the doors of Coast, I wasn't ready to let God into my heart. I had to leave half way through the worship service because I was so convicted and guarded. But there was something that kept me coming back week after week. The more I attended, the more God broke down my walls and healed all of my hurts in my heart. Over the past two years I have completely grown into the woman I want to be. I love being at Coast and am always meeting new people who help me grow and inspire me to be a better believer. I highly recommend that you come, just once. If you are willing to let God take ahold of your heart, if you are willing to really deal with all of the past hurts that are blocking you from meeting with Him, this is the place for you. My rating: 4.5/5 stars I happen to live across the street from this church, but I never got around to it. Upon reading the reviews from here, it convinced me to wanting to go there sometime and see what God had to offer to me. As I started to read a lot of good things about it, I was even more curious about it. When I finally started to walking through that door with an open-mind, I was quite surprised about how welcoming it is. It's like God's way of opening the door for me and saying that I belong here. Inside of the church is huge. It's very well-constructed and well-made. Super nice looking. A lot of nice people there, and they're willing enough to meet and greet newcomers like myself. They actually want to make everyone feel welcomed, which is what makes a church worth going. I haven't introduced myself to Pastor Guy yet, but he seems to be a great, and friendly pastor. Very funny and animated. The worship singers are talented. The music is great. I've been recently going to King's Harbor for 5 months, which is 1 1/2 mile away from this one, and I'm not sure which one I like the most. Both of them are great churches to go to, so it's really hard to determine which one tops the other. I came from a Church in Lomita, which is Calvary, and I went there for a little over a year. What made me decided to move to a different church is that Calvary is filled with a lot of Cliques, and I couldn't fit in with most of the people there. It doesn't do a good job welcoming newcomers, so I found myself feeling left out. Even the very few people who I felt comfortable around with didn't prevent it from being closed up and cliquish. Like King's Harbor, everybody is very friendly and welcoming, which I admire a lot. So many down to earth people. That's what makes people real God Believers. It may not be a perfect one, but if you just give it a shot, you'll find yourself having a smile on your face. I was apprehensive at first until I had the opportunity to introduce myself with a few people there. It's a lot different than what I expected, but in a good way. There are plenty events and groups to get into if you want to connect with other believers. I left the church feeling happy and blessed about what it had in store for me. I started coming to this church a while ago and I just wish I could be more consistent with my attendance. The service starts at 11:00 am, so I really have no excuse for not coming every Sunday. It is a really big beautiful church, that can easily seat several hundred people. These are the nicest people you will ever meet. The music is amazing!! The teen singers are so talented and I noticed that all of the young adults here have a extremely strong relationship with God, which is incredible to watch. Every time I come to the service, I have a great time. The speakers are really funny and down to earth. There is rarely a dry eye in the room. When I leave, I always feel my spirit has been filled and blessed. This is a great choice for anyone looking for a relationship with God and a fellowship with new friends. read more

I quite like Coast! I've been going here for nearly a year and a half now and there's something for everyone here. I personally connected at the prophetic art ministry and at the young adults group through their Saturday night swing dancing nights. Though the leadership here is incredibly busy and involved, I've found the leaders & staff I've talked to to be very caring and compassionate. This is a great place for those looking to grow in their walk with Christ and seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As with any church or spiritual family, there are growing pains, but I see the fruit that comes out of Coast to be worth staying around for. One more thing that kept me coming back was the worship. It's spirit led and spontaneous! And the talent that the musicians, artists, dancers, and flaggers possess are definitely something to check out. They're "presence people" and just want to be where God is, and this hunger overflows into the way they minister. What sets Coast apart from other churches in the area is their vast number of ways to get plugged in and the variety of classes they offer as well as their hunger for God's presence. That is the question that comes to mind and is directly contrasted (compared to the church I used to attend) here in the services at Coast Christian Fellowship. For years I sat in a perfectly respectable large Christian church thinking there had to be more - teachings that would draw me into the depths of Christianity and into experiencing God and Jesus, not just into learning more. Then one Sunday I had a completely inexplicable inner urge to go to "that church by Anza" that day. I knew nothing about it apart from once going to hear a visiting speaker years earlier; no one had ever so much as suggested I as visit there. I knew nothing about this church yet just had to go that day. As I listened intently to the pastor and heard their foundational beliefs and objectives, especially their openness to all God has for us, I realized I had found what I had been longing for so long. I immediately transferred to CCF and ten years later cannot imagine ever being elsewhere. Pastor Joe doesn't give sermons, he takes us into the heart and mind of God and Jesus and into understanding Holy Spirit. Every word is consistent with the Bible but if we question a point, Joe will respond with receptivity, total engagement, and clarity. He has intellect as well as a massive heart. There is no sense here of "them and us" as has been the case in each of the other three churches I have attended. Have I omitted the negatives about CCF? No, because I know of none. Lovely service on Sunday, friendly church, great worship. It was great on Sunday but when I attended a small group on Wednesday I was disappointed to hear a doctrine that I disagreed with. Just be alert and know the Scriptures. We won't always agree 100% on every interpretation or doctrine. Understood. My wife and I started going to Coast Christian in August 2010, mainly to the healing ministry on Thursday nights. My wife was bitten by a rattlesnake in 2008, which caused severe nerve damage to her leg. In August, she was hardly able to move, and by doctor's orders, could only walk for around 20 minutes at a time. She now has a job, is able to go on hikes and has had a miraculous turnaround. I love this church! I started going over 4 years ago. The first time I walked in, I was angry, hurt, and searching. I finally found a church body that I really call home! I truly appreciate how humble, open, honest, vulnerable, and down to earth the leadership is. It's real talk and family style, and I love how diverse the church body is!! I felt loved when I walked in the door the first time and I have felt loved and supported through my 4 years of attending. I have grown tremendously in my walk with God and directly relate my growth back to this church. Awesome people who want to worship The Lord in Spirit and truth!! The leadership honors the move of the Holy Spirit and as well as rooting truth in the Word of God. There are LOTS of classes, ministries, events, and more that are available to receive teaching, ministry, and to get involved in. In my option, there is something for everyone- any age- to get plugged in and grow their relationship with God. I feel very comfortable being raw and open about wherever I am at in my life and have always received love, support, and an encouraging word. I have also seen this church body continue to grow together, discover more together, and reach out to the community more in the 4 years I have been there.
