These are not the type of things that you'll find in the surrounding shops. I'd describe them as unique, classy, a little artsy, some fabulously irreverent items, and very diverse. I could get something for every member of my family from my senior parents to my 14-year-old son. I ended up getting an awesome multi-tool for my dad that I know he'll love...and maybe a few things for myself! Customer service was great too! The shop keeper didn't follow me around like some tend to do; but, she was very helpful when I needed something.

I found Paint for Me the way I find a lot of gulf coast businesses; I was randomly driving around and saw the sign when I was searching for coffee. The kids were bored (aren't they always), and I needed to occupy them before I lost what little sanity I have left. The way it works is pretty simple. You select an item to paint form their ample selection. Prices are visible and there are pieces to fit every budget. The owner then helps pick the paints, explain the process, and you're off. Once your piece is done, the owner sprays it with some sort of sealer and you take your piece home. It's super easy, and very reasonable. Here are a few tips I learned that may be of use to you: 1. Pick one item per kid. Your kids will want to paint everything. Limiting mine to one piece kept me from spending a fortune and from spending all day here. 2. Pick an item for you. It will be fun and help pass the time. Even if you paint like a person with no arms (see attached snowman photo), it's still enjoyable. 3. If you're facing the strip where this business is located, park on the right side. There is a fence on the left side and you can't enter from there. 4. Don't put a bunch of paint in your paint holder thing. It really doesn't take a lot of paint. 5. I think they do birthday parties. 6. The end

I will not go into elaborate detail of my recent experience, just know this store's policy is to take advantage of the customer and will not monogram an item valued over $35. Unfortunately, we found this out only after they ruined my daughter's $95 book bag that she was so excited to have for her first day of pre-k. The lettering was horrible and the machine chewed a hole right through several layers of the bag. She left in tears. When confronting the store owner about resolution to the problem....her ultimate response was "do whatever you have to do, you can even bash us on Facebook". Please... Please do not step foot in this place. There are far more appreciative business owners here in Gulfport waiting to provide you with courteous service.
