Loretta's was on my NOLA list so I decided to knock 2 things off my list by visiting her location at the French Market which is located in the French Quarter. After enjoying my beignets, I strolled the market. The market is open daily and with any iconic spot in NOLA, I recommend arriving early before the crowd gets any larger. There is plenty to see and buy here! Plenty of vendors with art, clothing, jewelry and lots of mardi gras items! Great location to grab quick souvenirs. The restrooms were clean, which I kinda wasn't expecting. The vendors I encountered were friendly and informative. Unfortunately, I was on a schedule and had a little over an hour to browse, but I can't wait to come back so I can stroll around at my leisure. I could've easily spent more time here. This is definitely a spot you want to add to your New Orleans itinerary.

Fun with tons of different vendors and shops all along the river. Artist shops, clothing, jewelry and more!! Some food spots as well, in case you get hungry and places for sweet treats and drinks. A go-to spot in the city that's fun if you decide to shop or just walk around. Check it out!

Before we left for vacation, I watched lots of youtube videos, and all recommended the French Market. From the videos, the entrance appeared to be similar to that of Boston Market. We took a Lyft from the Garden District, After walking in, and passing some hot sauce stands and drink stands, I was mildly disappointed. There were many t-shirt vendors. and not much else. In the surrounding area that was also part of the French Market, some shops were good but one souvenir shop girl was more interested in her bf than in being pleasant and greeting customers. There is a statue of Joan of Arc. I was expecting something fun, like Pike's Market.

We came here for the first time and we love buying the souvenirs here and presents. There's also food spots. There are restrooms as well. They do accept most types of payments. The vendors/artists were super friendly. A little bit of everything for everyone.

Tchotchkes of every sort. An outdoorish market Jerwelry, t-shirts, hats, doiles, incense, chess set. Hit the food stall section , grab an Abita and have a few of the freshest oysters you've ever had. Serious. A must visit in Nawlins.

We came here after visiting Cafe Du Monde to see what offerings and food they have. The market houses tons of vendors and eateries so there's plenty to see, eat and buy. My sis and I shared some boiled crawfish that was amazing and perfectly spiced. All the vendors we talked with were friendly and informative, overall a great place to visit with good vibes

It's easy to spend an hour or so here looking at all the vendors and their goods. I found a very friendly Argentinian man selling beautiful postcards and magnets. If you see him you'll know he has cute souvenirs and a great personality ! A lot of the food here is also a must including and most importantly Loretta's

Loved going to visit the French Market during my first visit to New Orleans. It's an amazing place for shopping and souvenirs. They do something for every holiday too. They decorate for Halloween and Christmas from what the locals tell me.

The French Market had a lot of options to choose from. Whether you're looking for food, clothes, hats, dresses, etc. This is the place! Since we went during Mardi Gras it was extremely crowded so we didn't get to experience everything we wanted to.

This is a great open air spot with many vendors and customers. They have a little bit of everything! Stop by and see for yourself. It's right by the river walk.

Wonderful, art galleries, beautiful sculptures, and fabulous gifts. Pralines fudge, and food items can be found here as well. Everything and anything, New Orleans. We did some nice shopping here.

If you have been to Faneuil Hall or Pike Place, the French Market is along that idea but with more of a flea market vibe and a bit funkier. Very crowded on a weekend. Unsurprisingly, food vendors seemed heavily oriented towards fried food and seafood. It could definitely use more seating to accommodate all the folks wanting to eat. It starts at Jackson Square and is bookended by the original Cafe du Monde mothership location. It extends for several blocks so there is something for everyone along the way. Some of it odd, some of it tasty, some of it made from rum, and all of it uniquely New Orleans.

I love going shopping here so much, it's an outdoor flea market style, you can get T-shirts for your family and friends, two t-shirts for $25, that's a great deal. I ensure they're silk screened first and you're good to go, happy friends and family. They also have bathing suits, dresses, hats, jewelry, books, candy, and, more or less, a food court with all sorts of Cajun uniqueness, and Cajun spices to take home so good! you gotta go check it out. And Just down the road, you got the Central grocery, after your done shopping have you a muffuletta at the Central grocery it's just down the street it's some good! Cheers my friends SYOY 02/27/25 review #366

It's a one stop shop for your taste buds to travel Latin America- no passport or cash needed. They had food vendors from Mexico all the way to the Dominican Republic. We tried shakes from Honduras- we picked strawberry and guyabano. Both flavors were delicious and cooled us down. Next we got carne asada arepas from Colombia, the meat was seasoned so well and it was oozing with cheese. We played it safe and got tacos from the Mexican spot. They were delicious! The tortillas were freshly pressed and the meat was loaded. They also give you a red salsa and green. I wish we would've left room for dessert because there were some good looking dessert options. I will definitely be back! If you do stop by, bring your appetite and athleisure wear (it's hot and you will leave with a full belly).

The food court offered mostly Latin/South American options. I really wanted some french fries but could not find any. I lucked out bc Plume Algiers had some delicious chai and stuffed naan with goat cheese and mushrooms! It was super easy to pay with Venmo and they had their venmo account right on a laminated sheet! Score! I like this new location for the farmer's market bc there is more space to spread out than the American fan parking lot. Plus it's such a great outdoor space right off the Lafitte Greenway with two sets of bike racks, benches, hand sanitizer stations, and even a lit stage! They also have a booth where you can get tokens and they accept EBT which is awesome! There were lots of different booths with everything from Fruits, vegetables, seafood, bread, local honey, and so much more! One of the highlights for me is seeing the beautiful rainbow flag that ends in a trans ‍ flag! Way to represent! They also have lovely metallic sculptures that light up in different colors at night! I got a tip on River Road Flea Market from an acquaintance, who became an acquaintance because I was asking about where to get furniture. Of all the stores and spots she recommended, this was my favorite and definitely the best. It was a little difficult to find because their address online says the city's name is Jefferson and my GPS only recognizes Jefferson as a parish. Now I know it's in New Orleans city, and not all the far away at all. It's located literally right by the river, separated by a grassy bank and the levee. The building is HUGE. It's like a warehouse divided into little rooms, all of which are decorated with amazing antiques and thrifty finds for a fairly reasonable price (about 125 for a desk-sized table, 150 for a wardrobe or dresser). It's not the cheapest spot, but the quality of the merchandise makes up for it. They get most of their merchandise from estate sales, apparently, and the eclectic collection certainly reflects that. Several of the rooms are themed: jewelry, records, children's furniture and toys (there was an amazing vintage rocking chair that I would buy just to anticipate having children... except I'm not), books, etc. Outside in a small gated area, they sell specialty Mexican pottery, most of which is large and would be appropriate for a yard, and wrought iron benches and trellises. I purchased a vintage bracelet for $5, and I can't wait to go back and actually purchase furniture, once I'm moved in! Just don't beat me to it; there's a table and a bedframe that I've already got my eye on...
