Now that it's Mechanics, one of my CD's became due and I missed it, so it rolled over to 0.2% interest! yikes! Now another was due and I called the number on the notice, and after waiting 25 minutes FINALLY somebody answered and I said I wanted to renew the CD and did not appreciate waiting that long, she said, I should just have let it automatically renew!! What awful advice! I said no, I wanted to know the rates, and she said she did not have the rates, she would have to ask the local bank to call me back. I hung up and looked up the old number for Homestreet, which fortunately was still online, and they picked up on the first ring and told me the rates and helped select the best deal. So far, the local people are still helpful, but the customer service and the on-line system are really terrible.

They offer a plethora of banking services and majority of them are free to business account holders. This bank is like Cheers...Where everybody knows your name. For the past 4 years I have worked with the same bank manager, drive through teller, etc. The only turn over I have noticed is in the lending department. Everyone here is very cordial and polite. You can call with any issue and get it resolved quickly without getting transferred a million times. B of WA also focuses on SBA loans, I would recommend these guys for small local banking.

Opened account, 5 minutes online. Completed loan app, received response next day. They were only willing to offer $75k. Contacted loan officer to provide additional finance information. Basically was told they don't offer loans in that amount. This is typical of a CU. They make things more difficult than needed and change the rules mid-stream. I've had sim experience with BECU. Additionally, the account that took 5 min to open took 40 min, 3 representatives, and multiple holds, to close, and 10 days to receive your money back via snail mail. I gave 1 star for their dishonest misrepresentation via AI and difficult closing process obviously designed to get you to hang up. Pretty dirty banking policy this day and age.

For about 18 months they would call me about every 45 days and ask a bunch of questions trying to sell me more and I asked several times to stop. Today on my way to work my car died. I called the insurance but they were t open yet, I left a message and called roadside to request a tow- two hours later I get a call "potential spam" and the person on the other line has a bad connection and tells me that they can only find someone that costs over three times of what they cover. I called a local tow myself and they said I needed to Allstate to set it up with them to save the hundred dollars, I called Shellee and she finally answered- only to tel me that the tow company I choose is not allowed, but the tow company says they work with Allstate. Shellee not only didn't call me back this morning while I was stranded on the side of the road, but she was rude and condescending in her tone. I need insurance but do not have to go through them so I will take all of the time that I need to find an agent that cares about the client. This one is not it. And it is not even fairly priced, so please be careful choosing your insurance provider, it is already stressful to be in a situation where you need help- they should not be adding more stress to what you are already experiencing, you pay them, they should help us.

When I had issues, they kicked me back and forth between the branch and their central customer support team many times until I had explained my issue a thousand times, and I ultimately had to figure out the problem myself. They bill themselves as a small neighborhood bank that cares about customers, but I've had a much better experience working with a large national bank. I would not bank with them again and I recommend that others stay away.
