My cousin said this is by the sewer outlet too, so don't eat the crab butter is my suggestion if you were to eat any from here, not that I am a fan of crab butter anyways. They updated a few things, moved the office towards the front, and it just seems to be running really well (do I dare say better?). Everything else is great! We rented a boat and went crabbing. Only got 3 crabs this time, but it was still fun. It's just the idea of being out there that makes it so fun! We went on a rainy day so could not enjoy the view from our site since we had to stay inside the trailer. It's okay, it was still a great visit. I look forward to going again! Ha! I have to laugh, you know when you are tying reviews, you can see others to the right. I see that one of my friends wrote a review and pretty much wrote the same as I did in the 1st paragraph. Reasonable prices and sufficient service for the freshest crabs!!!!! Not a lot of shade and cover spaces so come prepared for the weather. I wouldn't recommend it during winter raining season. They have small campground onsite though it more to accommodate people renting or taking their own boat out to the bay for crabbing, not designed for leisure camping experience due to its location. It offers its own gift shop, and restroom. Limited condiments on tables. I came prepared with my own lemon/lime and knife.

We hit 20 total fish, lost 3 that spit the hook for a total of 17 sturgeon in 3 hours. He has a custom made boat with advanced technology. Andy also has decades of experience fishing in that area and we had almost constant action, achieving our limit with very little down time. They make a great team, provide the very best equipment, and do everything to ensure you have a whale (tuna?) of a time. We departed the port very early in the morning and proceeded to blast by all the other charters (including ones that started hours earlier) en route to the fishing. Nobody digs taking your time over the bar and their boat guarantees you don't. Upon hitting the fishing "grounds" (why do they call it that!?), we trolled around for about an hour, had a hit or two to tell us we were getting to the right area, and then suddenly all hell broke loose. The next hour or two was nonstop action with a fresh 25-35lb fish entering the boat every couple of minutes. All hands were tied up as we filled the boat in very little time. Based on radio communication, I believe that not only were we one of the first boats to the target water, but we were the first to find the fish, and I'm pretty certain the first to return to port. As much as I like boat rides, charter fishing is not about the ride, and both me and my body were happy to be back on land in the shortest amount of time. By 5pm our fish had been cleaned, packed, and we were on our way home. Everyone left with a filled cooler and a beaming smile on their face. Random notes: - Lunch and drinks are provided. - Bring your own cooler. - Wear sunscreen. - Wear rubber rain boots. - Overdose on dramamine or get your doctor to prescribe you "the patch" - Pack light - you really don't need much. - Save the drinking for the return. - Jackpole. - There will be blood.

Great park with a little bit of everything…read more We saw the sign and decided to check it out. First impression: lovely, quiet grounds that appear well-maintained. The park has a lot to offer: a beautiful lake and surrounding trees, picnic shelter, play area, docks, trails, birds & other animal viewing, large flat parking areas (one near each end of the lake), and flush toilets. We took the short, loop trail that starts near the parking lot...part a rolling path within the trees and part within mowed grasses along the lake. There's also an interpretive trail we didn't get to check out that starts near the beautiful, historic log home. Beautiful and peaceful spot to spend an afternoon for sure.
