I honestly had no faith that this company will do a good job. This was not my choice after reading all the reviews. With all these reviews, how can they be still in business? That was my husband's question so that was the reason why he stuck with them. We wanted to get walls taken down and have our countertop extended and they just so happened to have close enough matching countertops. When you walk in and get a quote, never think that's gonna be the actual price that you're gonna pay . Until somebody comes to your house and actually sees in person what you want done, your quote will be an estimate not a final price. You can have pictures, your own measurements with everything done on a piece of paper and it's still will not be taken seriously. Our price was originally around four grand and after him coming over and taking a look at everything it was over six grand. It was definitely a price jump. You will be paying half now and half before the final project is finished, even if there are discrepancies. This is a countertop place and everybody. They hire our contractors and subcontractors, which I am not a fan of. You never know what you're gonna get because when you normally hire a contractor, at least you will have their information and be able to research the company beforehand. This is like toss in the air if they're good or not. We were told that a few people would be coming to tear down the walls and it should take half a day, but only one person came and took two days because he kept filling the back of his tiny pick up truck with him driving back to the location dumping it and coming back, which is very time-consuming. He was very good. I have no complaints other than the fact that he should've had something that his truck was towing to put all the debris in the back of it. The guy who came and measured how much countertop we needed, completely butchered it and cut the piece way too short. You had one job!!! so when two new contractors came to put the countertop, they realize the error and had to leave. Very nice guys, but it was very frustrating. I believe this was on a Friday and they came back on Monday to install our countertop which was done second time around correctly. Why I took another star off is because the communication with everybody was just awful . Nobody communicates, we got a call they're coming over to measure the size of the countertop when the walls were even down. It was just a bit frustrating in the beginning. Would I recommend this place? I feel like this place is a role of the dice and you just have to keep on top of people. This is the low quality of living in Port St. Lucie and is definitely not the same as West Palm Beach. Good luck to anybody who wants to take their chance on them. lol read more

The installers were so awesome Precision workmanship.Also new baseboards installed the transformation is awesome. I've been dealing with this company for six months now. They mis cut my first counter top, and took two weeks to finally concede that the underside piece would not work. They cut another one, didn't polish it to the sheen of the first ( this was confirmed by a test from another company. Also stone is a 5 hardness not 7 as recommend. It is dolomite and NOT granite. They damaged my hardwood bamboo and after three contractors saying it can't be fixed they are still stalling on making that right. It will also cost me $800 to have the counter stripped of whatever goop they put on it trying to short cut around actually polishing the stone, and have it polished correctly if they keep refusing to do it. First let me start by saying, if you think the quote you are getting from the salesman is going to be correct, don't use Mark to do the quote. He was at our house for almost an hour and did our quote. The installer shows up and removes the tile in our kitchen and then proceeds to tell us they will have to float the whole kitchen and living area (something that the salesman said didn't need to be done) we were told that would be another $2,000.00. The salesman told us we would only need the kitchen done and wouldn't need the transitions that now we are being told we need. My husband calls and speaks to a woman that works there and she stated the salesman thought we had carpet! Clearly the guy has no business doing our estimate when there was no carpet and we did need the transitions. What if we didn't have the money to pay the extra money?! After the discussion, we ended up paying $800.00 instead of the 2000 that was told to us. The installer was very professional and curtious and that is why I would give them (installers) a 5 star rating. He even agreed that Mark is not a good person to deal with. We had to find money to pay these people (up front) to get the job done. People don't grow money on trees and it took a few years to save for the flooring to be done. I have got the run around from this companies employee's for 21 day's. I purchased a slab of Cambria quartz that they had left over from another unhappy customer. Beside an attitude every time i have called there or been into the store. I still figured they have the slab just have them fabricate and install. Being in the construction business for 35 plus years i figured it pretty simple. Well not. They want me to pay 100% up front for labor. Which is unheard of. Who will protect me if something goes wrong. Jump forward today spoke with the owner. He agreed on 50% now 30% then 20% when finished which i was happy with. Went in to pay and the 2 women in the office are nasty and rude to say the least. I was told the own is senile and doesn't know what he's talking about that they will not honor the deal he made with me. I ask when I could come in and speak to him and they told me it would be hard to say, considering he gets sleepy, so he comes and goes whenever he feels like it. You know he is 80. The salesman was nice and we picked a piece of granite to be installed. The First time they came out, they cut the sink hole in the wrong spot. It was all the way to the side of the cabinet instead Of in the middle. They realized It after they spent hours at my house. They recut and came out a week later. The sink hole was still off slightly and the corners were also not how we ordered and they cut the hole too big for the electrical pop up. We were Just going to deal with it all but after they finished installing everything, they realized it had this grid line pattern from the back of the piece of granite etched on top of it. Said they would come out and polish it. Sent 3 different people out and we kept telling them It wasn't working. I called and had numerous arguments with the owner. He kept saying they could buff it out. They sent a 3rd guy that cuts the stone and he said there was no way it was fixable and had to re cut a 3rd stone. We were told the new piece of stone was fine so we went in to inspect it before it was cut and it was the same way. At this point after several lies and weeks of aggravation and time, we demanded a refund. The owner is elderly and extremely rude. He tried to tell me I needed to wait until the salesman came in because the money we gave was in his personal checking account. (This made no sense at all) When I refused to leave, he had me call the salesman while he was at a doctors appointment to see if we could get a refund. The salesman told me he had no idea why he would say that. After a while, the owner agreed to give us a refund. We went with another company that was wonderful and our counters are perfect. If it were possible to give zero stars, that is what I would do. We purchased an entire slab of granite to be cut for the kitchen counters, the bathrooms, and the table. The salesman, Vito, was very responsive and helpful...until the check was in hand. We then couldn't get anyone to return our calls. Vito told us the granite had been cut the same Wednesday the gentleman, Orlando, came to do the measurements. (Orlando was amazing). Vito also told us (on Wednesday evening) that he would "call the boss" to ensure that installation would happen that Friday. We took Friday off. We called Vito and the scheduler, Tina, and left several messages on Thursday to confirm the installation time on Friday. They never returned the calls. When we finally got Vito & Tina on the phone Friday morning, Vito feigned surprise that we were expecting the installation only two days after the template had been done. Tina actually said we were "stupid" for taking time off work without hearing back from them. At this point we should have cancelled completely. But they came and installed on Saturday. The sink isn't even centered in the bathroom vanity. The faucet hole was cut an inch to the right of the sink drain. They broke the window sill in the bathroom. And to add insult to injury, they didnt deliver the table top. They delivered it three days later and left it propped on the side of the house. They didnt even knock on the door. I went in a month ago ordered ordered tile for one of my bathrooms, I called a week later and the tile never got ordered! The Guy I ordered my tile from blamed one of the girls in the office and the girl in the office blamed the guy that I ordered the tile from saying it was never ordered. Two weeks later I was able to pick the tile up. Two weeks ago I ordered more tile for the other bathroom because I had a couple of boxes left over from the first job. Once again I called a week after ordering the tile and asked if it was there and needless to say they never ordered the tile. At this point I'm extremely frustrated because it's the second time it has happened. I went in and spoke to the owner and he told me that I should have patience!!! He wouldn't accept ANY accountability for his employees incompetence. I told him my tile guy popped off the tile from the wall because it would take up to 2 weeks for the new tile to come in and we couldn't wait that long! It was $64 worth of tile. He refused to give me money back for the tile I had popped off the wall saying I needed to have patience and wait for the tile to come in!!! He then told me I signed a contract that stated I was to be charged a restocking fee for the tile that I tried ordering and was NEVER ordered. He said he would not charge that to me....that statement should have never come out of his mouth being that they screwed up a second time by never ordering my tile!!! Buyer beware.... spent 14k on flooring and 12k on kitchen. Kitchen designer is rude. Missing cabinet and wrong number of door pulls ordered. One would think you design the cabinets you could count number of doors but this was a challenge. Walked in the stating wanted all costs for installation included in contract. Contract proves negated coat of installation for kitchen sink, it was extra; moving outlets, it was extra. Measures home but had to call and state additional 3k for pieces that were left off original quote and contract. After being nickeled and dimed for extra work discussed in showroom and stating no less than 8 times (my son counted) costs to be included in contract, came back to say installation of floors and countertops was not included. Canceled flooring and wanted removed from home. Didn't show up the first appointment because they fired the person who scheduled. Showed up three hours late for second appointment. Required payment at delivery but withheld return payment until "inspected" because the inspectors don't come out when picked up. Office staff hang up when calling to complain about poor response. Still missing cabinet and door pulls and ready to file lawsuit just knowing they won't refund full amount paid for flooring. Gave him all my specifics of what I was looking for and I was reassured that they would get me a price as soon as possible. That was almost a month ago. Stay away far away from this company. Long story short I hired this company to install my flooring about a year ago. I paid above average price for the job. Many issues popped up prior to the installation. Laziness,miscommunication and even charged my debit card without authorization before the job was even done. Fast forward a few months I called in to have them honor their warranty. A warranty that I have in writing and a warranty that is even posted on their billboard to suck in any type of customer. I have damage from their installer, floor planks popping up from under furniture and a section in my bathroom that bounces up and down from just a light touch. Their installer that did this no longer works there and their manager that dealt with me initially no longer works there either, so many red flags. Their manager now by the name of Laura was suppose to have an employees that no longer works for them come back to fix my issues because she can't spare her real employees. I searched high and low for backsplash tile for my kitchen that wouldn't conflict with my granite I must have gone to 15 tiles stores but coastal had the most unique tile pure white geometric pattern tile it was perfect. They were moderately priced and had the tile delivered quickly so I was not held up in my project. I was so pleased I went back for tile when my shower floor need to be replaced and was able to match my wall tile perfectly again reasonable and timely delivery. Thanks Coastal!!!! read more

Using this company for our granite was a big mistake. We had to have the kitchen granite removed and replaced by another company. We had marks all over it and they kept saying they could get them out. They told us they tried a product and it worked. We stopped by the shop yo see the results and they hadn't even opened the product yet. The salesperson Vito wanted nothing to do with us once he received payment. He did not return calls or texts. The owner told us he could get the same granite the next day but then in 2 days we were told it was on backorder. We asked for a refund and they declined. They told us we had to pick another granite from them. We had to threaten suing them to even get a portion our paument back. We had 115 sq ft of kitchen granite installed and 45 sq ft of another in bathrooms. They would only give us back 47% of the payment when it should have been alot more based on 115sq ft temoved due to acid rain marks. See attached pictures. I paid for the larger model that Marvin said was the same size as my original sink. It was NOT even close. When they would not give me the sink they promised me, I had to purchase a new one and hire someone to cut my granite. Being snowbirds, my wife and I wanted to have indoor outdoor carpet installed in the enclosed porch area. We wanted a local company with high marks. While visiting Coastal Floors we chose a carpet that met our needs at a reasonable price. We selected a date and time for removal of the old carpet and installation for the new carpet. Delivery was right on time and the two workers started immediately removing the old carpet. They installed the carpet in record time, taking a short break for lunch. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Fair selection in tile, but not better than other tile and flooring stores in the area. Would NOT recommend unless you don't mind the owner calling/texting you at 7 a.m. as well as constantly demanding payment for jobs that aren't yet finished. Owner appears to care more about the money than how the job turns out. Never once showed his face or came by to see the work during months of demo and installation. They had to tear up part of the floor they installed incorrectly and they still put it down wrong and not the way I originally wanted it. The installer admitted he had never worked with that type of tile before! 6 months later there are raised areas and lipping of the floor tiles everywhere. Nickel and dimed me for every little thing. Wouldn't even unload material off the truck until they had check literally in hand. And mind you, this was a big job (kitchen, 2 baths and flooring throughout) and they already had thousands of dollars from us. Never re-installed my doors after they put the new floors in, had to pay someone else to do it and there are 2 that no longer fit and will need to be replaced. Kudos to the sales person Jamie, the carpenter Jeff and the second tile installer Fred who they finally sent and knew what he was doing. Granite installer was sloppy, leaving dust and granite plugs behind for me to clean up. In the end, the overall job was acceptable, but you'll have a lot of unnecessary stress getting it all done. If I had to do it over, I'd go elsewhere and FAST. Had to go to DB Tile and Tile Walk in Stuart to find tile and grout to finish the job. They were more than accommodating when Coastal couldn't or wouldn't find the tiles I needed. Coastal tried to install a different color back splash telling me my color was no longer available (it was). They never took back any tile I couldn't use, even for partial credit and showed up unannounced at 7:30 in the morning to dump extra tile at my house. This was their parting shot after we spent over 40K in their store. Learned an expensive lesson and hope to never cross their threshold again. read more

We purchased laminate flooring in 2016 and 2 weeks later you could see the tile grout lines through the newly installed laminate floor. To Coastal Flooring credit they did come out and replace that floor at no charge to us. However, when installing the new floor the installer brought the new flooring into our home and started installing right away. I questioned the installer, asking don't you need to let the flooring acclimate to the home temp and humidity? They said Vinyl laminate did not need acclimating. After a couple hours I was inspecting the new floor and noticed they were not leaving any space between the laminate flooring and the walls. I pulled an installation sheet from one of the empty boxes and it specifically said to acclimate and to leave 3/16" spacing. I called Coastal and they spoke with the installers then me. Coastal said acclimating was not required and that the installers would trim the laminate away from the wall. When they were trimming the smell was so bad we had to go into a bedroom and open a window so I did not see if they were doing around all the walls. After the installer left I noticed several areas where they left the laminate against the wall. Fast forward to January 2019 and the second floor has started to pucker where the laminate joins together. Floor looks horrible. We spent $9000.00 and will have to pull up the laminate and live with the tile beneath it. For a flooring company they appear to know nothing more then the average person buying the floor. We did contact Coastal and there response was it's been 3 years and the manufacturer is no longer in business so there is nothing they will do about the issue. read more

He kept talking about how he wished he had the right equipment and wished he was better at cutting. Would not recommend to anyone. Horrendous! I had a bathroom renovated a few years ago from them. Their employees were not background checked! One of them told me that he would stamp my check, only to have written it to himself, stupid on my part I admit. I checked with the Secretary and she assured me everything was fine. Come to find out she was his gf and they were in on it together.They apparently did the same thing to about 7 other customers. The manager refused to refund my check when I went in to complain. The whole process was horribly unorganized. I was finally so exasperated that I just had them finish the job. I ended up having to get the trim kit in the shower fixed by a plumber. I had to go to court to give depositions about the above mentioned check. They never even did a follow up call after the job was completed. I am surprised they are still in business. Literally! No one answers the phone or calls you back when inquiring about delivery. They make changes to material you've picked without notifying you. While the upfront service was great (measurement, ordering) and the finished product is good (not great), the installation process was a nightmare. The installer was rude, swore, yelled and complained the entire time. My Mom was over for a couple hours and still he continued to use the 'F' word every 5 minutes. At the end of the day he was at the point where he literally said out loud (I was in the next room) "I am so f*ing done with this sh*t- I am going to start smashing sh*t and walk out of here". Thankfully my husband was there b/c I was getting really nervous, but had stupidly paid everything up front. I called the shop at one point and asked them to get him out of my house. He said he would call the owner. No one got back to me, but he did calm down after that, so he must have gotten a call. He continued to mutter about his aches and pains and how this was slave labor, etc. But finally he completed the job and left. Even though they left my garbage can so full of junk I couldn't move it, and there was white powder and mess everywhere, I was just so glad to get him out of the house. We live in Tradition and thought Coastal was convenient, but please- look elsewhere. read more

One star is even giving too much for the experience I had with them. Ordered carpet 2 weeks in advance before moving into my first home. Numbers were different from sales to the guy that measured, both new employees. Both very nice employees at that. The two installers arrived 3 days before I have to move into my new home. Very nice guys, they came laid out the carpet and then boom what do you know, they ordered the wrong carpet. Spoke to Tina she said her "manager" will offer 15 percent off if we keep the wrong carpet. It was only about 200, then they jumped it up to 300. So I asked what if you guys order the carpet I actually wanted but give me the 300 off the carpet I actually want, for inconveniencing me. So the "manager" told me he can't do that because he has to sit on this carpet, and can't lose money on the other one. I told him it wasn't my problem, they ordered the carpet wrong, not me. So then tables turned and they tried pointing the finger at me saying we ordered the wrong carpet. When I HAVE A PAPER WITH SALE AGENTS NAME ON IT SAYING IT WAS THE SP44(F). Meanwhile both employees I dealt with were new, so I understand how it happened. When the new guy came to the house to measure he even told me my carpet was gonna be 2100 instead of 1400. HE WAS PRICING OUT CARPET I NEVER EVEN WANTED. So they fixed that and still got the wrong carpet if you get new employees, be ready to back your name up "Nick" aka "manager". Your company screwed me over, and you "Nick" aka "manager" are a terrible business owner. Yes that's right, you are the owner of coastal floors. I asked to speak to the owner the whole time, and you didn't have the courage to man up and say you were him. Theses people are horrible to their customers !!! I went to their PSL store & asked about buying tile for a 6'x11' enclosed patio= 66 sq. ft. Each box contained 16.23 sq. ft. The salesman said I needed 5 boxes. I was left with 1 full box completely left over. When I went to return it, they would not give me the $20. Coastal Floors put in our tile floor and our granite counter tops. The tile is beautiful now, it was left with grout film that took us several good scrubbing's to get off. The granite counter tops were left with a film and roughness. We were left one piece of steel wool and told to use that along with a window cleaner and go over all the tops. We have a large kitchen plus two other pieces made plus a pass through window outside. We had to purchase more steel wool and I do not think the granite was ever sealed. It looks ok, to anyone just looking, but I still feel it is not completely right. I had them come back out to color in the lines where they had to cut the granite to fit my kitchen, those lines are so so as well. Make sure you get it in writing that they finish off the products in ready to use fashion. read more
