I arrived 30 minutes early for my scheduled appointment at the Ormond Beach location, only to be told after checking in that my appointment was actually in Orange City. This was after three days of trying to reach someone to confirm the location -- and being told by their voicemail not to leave more than one message. No one ever called me back. When I finally reached someone after leaving the Ormond office, she said she would contact Orange City and call me right back. That call never came either. I drove to the second location on my own, only to be told I could not be seen and would need to make yet another appointment. By then, I had wasted half my day, two unnecessary trips, and my own gas because of their complete lack of communication and coordination. No patient should have to deal with this level of disorganization. My time has value, and I fully expect the doctor to pay the invoice I submitted for the time, mileage, and inconvenience caused by their repeated mistakes. This office needs serious internal fixes before more patients are affected. read more

At my appointment it was recommended that I stop taking a specific medication, I was instructed to take reduced dosage over a two week period. The issue started when the office failed to follow prescribe the correct number of pills, than goodness I was not traveling so I was able to have the issue corrected when I noticed. The more significant issue was towards the end of this process I was having palpitations and increased blood pressure I tried three times to speak to a staff member for guidance- no success. On Monday at 2 I finally received a call, they were glad I figured out a plan and advised I could call again if I had any other issues. Never even asked how I chose to address the issue or offered alternatives to reaching a staff member if an issue was urgent. As a hemorrhagic stroke survivor, I need to be cautious of certain events and had hoped that this practice would provide a better level of care. read more

Traveled about half an hour while busy in school dealing with finals and after filling out paperwork in the office for 30 minutes they reschedule me because unbeknownst to me i was supposed to already have it filled out even though there were older patients that hadnt filled out their paperwork either. Cynthia Mitchell and purposely falsified my medical documents in order to keep me from getting opioid medicine she falsified information on my prior authorization I have the prior authorization to prove it. And she took all of my medical report out of my file so that when I saw Dr beg he didn't understand why I was there because he had no reasoning to give me medication he said my file was empty. Then was told I came up positive for a urine test with opioid results. That was also falsified because I took two urine tests that day a the second one was for a job. Negative results. I confronted her about what she had done and all she could say was I'm sorry you think that we failed you. I reported her to the state and I've heard nothing so I also reported to her to the attorney general and believe me I will continue with this until I get results. Her staff is nasty and rude they violated HIPAA by discussing my medical in front of other patients I've got pictures of how they deal with their urinalysis by probably about 12 or more different people's urinalysis cups in one basket and they've got a message on their bathroom door about your analysis being spilled all over the place and make sure you tighten the cups so this place is just absolutely unbelievable. Courtney and Brad are awesome. So is the rest of the staff. Don't know the blondes name that used to sit in the front but she was always so happy even when I would come in a bad mood. She made me smile. They run a pretty tight ship, so make sure you're on time. I have been going there for several years, I've never had any problems. Courtney's helped me out multiple times at the last minute. Brad listens to your concerns and doesn't just ship you out. Doesn't try to push procedures on either which is huge for me! My last appointment was a couple of months ago. Dr. Benezette is wonderful however the appointment time is just a suggestion. My shortest wait time was 45 minutes and the longest was 2 hours. It is very ironic that they charge patients if they don't show up 15 minutes early. They need to improve this aspect of the practice. read more

Coastal has the most caring and helpful staff that I've ever met (and I've been to 3 other doctors for this same problem, BEFORE I found Coastal!)!! The doctors are also friendly and caring, but they also make sure YOU know EXACTLY what's wrong with you, how they're going to try to fix/help your problem, they answer any and all questions you might have, and they've even helped me understand things my OTHER doctors have done or ordered! It also helps that they have neurologists and pain specialists in the same practice, which is very helpful for certain problems! I have recommended them to other family members that needed them and all of them are still going there with me! As long as it's up to me, I'll NEVER go anywhere else!!! read more

I certainly would not be going there for three years if the treatment was not good! From the moment you walk in 'till the time you walk out, you deal with smiling, positive people. The way I see it, their staff has to be made up of special people if they can show a positive, happy outlook even though they deal with people in awful pain every day. The only reason I gave Coastal 4 instead of 5 stars is most of the time there is a considerable wait past your appointment time until you are seen. I was treated terribly by their receptionist before I could ever be seen by the DR.or PA. I just had spinal fusion surgery (ALIF), and was needing to get set up with pain management for when my post op Rx ran out. I had to schedule a pre-office appt. to give them info so they could request history from my physicians. All that seemed normal and went smoothly. 2 weeks later I arrived on time and signed in for my appt with a PA since no Dr's were available. The receptionist was talking with a friend about nursing school and was oblivious to my presence. I waited for 50 min. in the waiting room then noticed patients that came in after me being called to be seen. So I got up and asked the receptionist what was my status? She asked my name. Then she said, I was just getting ready to call you. You will have to reschedule since you were not here on time. I said, "I was on time, my name was in the third spot of the sign in sheet. She flipped back through the sheets and said it looks like the person ahead of you signed in a 2pm. Hmm, that's interesting because 2pm is 2 minutes away from now. Obviously a typo. I said, I have waited 2 weeks for this appt. and I was on time and I want to be seen. She said the Dr. has no openings and I would have to reschedule. I was really shocked, I have never been treated like this by a physicians office. I told her that too. There was never any apology from her just blame toward me. After I left, I emailed Coastal Pain & Neurology Center explaining the reprehensible treatment I had received and that the receptionist blamed me for an error when obviously the error was hers since she was preoccupied bantering with a friend over the counter and totally ignored me. I requested that the office manager call me and reset an appointment ASAP. My email was responded to quickly by the "Executive Assistant to the Clinic Administrator" of Coastal Pain Center. She stated that she would forward my email to their Office Manager, who will then contact me on Monday. Well Monday came and went, and so did the whole week go by without anyone from Coastal Pain reaching out to me. It's now 2 weeks later and no attempt by Coastal to contact me. So in my opinion not only does their receptionist not give a darn, neither does their management. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place and tell your personal physician not to refer patients here either. If you end up going here, good luck being treated humanely by the office staff. read more

This may be fine for pain management, but I was recommended to Dr. Schmidt by my podiatrist to see why I was having neuropathy in my feet. Even though I was going strictly for neurology I had to fill out numerous pain relief forms, which were totally irrelevant to my needs. Dr. Schmidt ordered some tests which I had done. Then it was suggested I have another MRI to do further checking on what they believed to be perineural cysts. The order was sent over. I called the imaging place and they had the order but it was wrong and they told me I needed to contact Dr. Schmidt's office. I called to do that and was put on hold by the receptionist. While I was on hold I got put back in the automated telephone menu and basically had to start over. I got a different receptionist who then had to connect me to the first one. The original receptionist tried to connect to his medical assistant and I got cut off again and back into automation hell. So I selected the option to get the medical assistant's extension. They go through a list of 6 doctors, but Dr. Schmidt isn't one of them. Does he not have a medical assistant? I called back and asked to be connected directly, got put on hold once again and then put back into the automated menu. I finally left a message but who knows if it will go anywhere. The test is probably unnecessary anyway as Dr. Schmidt basically said the radiologist suggested it a CYA. read more

I have made 6 calls about my pain and trying to get someone to call back not only is the doctor leaving so is his assitant. No one is taking calls their excuse is they cant get in the voice mail. Two days ago I left a ,message with the front desk no return phone call. I left a message again yesterday no return phone call. They are VERY unorganized. Im supposed to have a procedure done I waited weeks finally I called my insurance company to see what the old up is and they never received the order from the office. Don't go here!!! They will show your records to other patients by mistake because they do not respect HIPAA and are incompetent. There were so many mistakes I don't know where to start. If you're being urine tested, find another doctor. They accuse patients of being on drugs when they're not. It will be in your record forever. They wait a month to notify you to where it's too late to prove their testing is wrong by doing a retest. If you say something they ghost you and refuse to talk to you again. I wonder how many times they've been sued. They can ruin your life. Go to another doctor! read more

Great, comprehensive office. I'm able to see a neurologist, pain management doctor, have EMG's, traction and physical therapy and massage. I'm very disappointed in this practice. Dr Rosado never informed me that he was no longer a participating provider for my Blue Cross Plan. It took 3 months for the bills to catch up to me. I consider this to be totally unethical. I complained to the billing dept but they could not have cared less. They are most definitely in this for the money! read more
