There's a closet I'm assuming he used to store the paint that has paint splatters on the tile. His work needs to be inspected prior to giving him the full amount. Use at your own risk. They sent two guys that were respectful and wanted to work, but needed direction and supervision. They used a lot of my tools as they were not prepared to take on this job. I was in contact nearly every day with Kelly and her partner as I tried to work with them. I could go on and on about their excuses. Subs were asking if I was paying Kelly, because they were not getting paid. After about three weeks (into a ten day job) I had to ask them to leave with the job half done. (less than half once the new contractor had to redo some of their work) At that point Kelly demanded full payment. I believe Kelly and her partner know very little about renovations. They bid the job, order materials and hope their subcontractors can make it work. I will add that I had worked in construction when I was younger, so i am familiar with what was needed I had a bad feeling about Kelly the first time we met, she really didn't seems to understand the work process or construction in general. Shane proved to be unreliable, performed the work out of order, attempted to charge us to correct…read morehis own mistakes, and is now threatening to place a lien on our property. He and his crew were scheduled to begin work on Monday, June 2nd, but failed to show without any communication. After waiting all morning, we reached out, and he said he'd come Tuesday. He did arrive then, removed the tile, and found mold--an expected issue in a shower. He said he'd return Wednesday to remediate the mold, but left early and claimed he needed to get supplies. Wednesday morning, he called to inform us his wife had a medical emergency, which we completely understood and sympathized with. He promised to return Thursday--then didn't show or contact us. Again, given the circumstances, we gave him the benefit of the doubt. He came Friday and treated the mold, stating he'd return Saturday to continue. Saturday came and went with no communication. On Sunday, he told us he'd be back Monday, which he was. He installed insulation and backer boards but said he'd return Tuesday to tape the seams. We're unsure why that couldn't have been done the same day, especially since he also didn't have the proper tool to remove the shower handle and instead worked around it. He skipped Tuesday, came Wednesday, and told us he had quick-drying seam tape and sealant so he could finish that and begin tiling. After applying the tape, he said he was going to pick up the tile--but never returned that day. On Thursday, he came back with the right tool and, while removing the shower handle, broke the copper regulator. He claimed it had rusted through, but copper doesn't rust. He said it was the manifold, but another plumber confirmed it wasn't and that the manifold wasn't even near that location. Shane texted us a quote for replacing the piece--including taking down the wall he had just put up. If he had completed tasks in the correct order, there would've been no need for demolition. We agreed to pay for the replacement part but not for removing and reinstalling the wall. After that, he stopped responding entirely. We waited through the weekend with no update and finally reached out again on Monday. He refused to fix the issue or finish the job and is now threatening to place a lien on our home for incomplete and poorly executed work. A second contractor has since reviewed what Shane did and confirmed that the work was sloppy--the backer board, tape, and sealant were improperly installed, and tile would never lay flat on the current surface. Do not hire this contractor. He will try to charge for work not agreed upon, ignore your concerns, and walk away if you don't comply--then still demand full payment.

Our first experience we had a written estimate emailed before the work began. The 2nd and 3rd experience, we were promised a written estimate and did not receive it but we took our chances based upon text responses.

Working with Alex has been a nightmare. In the beginning he was responsive and proactive when it…read morecame to communication and getting the construction started. He seemed kind and pleasant to work with. This was for additional room for my house. He told me that he only needed 4-6 weeks to complete the additional room to my house. We had an agreement that he should factor everything into the cost, so that he won't ask for any extra money later on. After I made the full payment of about $60,000, Alex started behaving strangely. Him or his employees would show up only for a few hours sometimes, no call or show for weeks at times, intentionally delay the construction etc. And when I politely asked him why the construction was taking so long to complete, Alex responded with angry outbursts, and ask for extra money. Each time the price would increase. First it started by him asking me for tips, then he would ask for extra $100 etc. Eventually, he started demanding to be paid $7000 extra even though we have fully paid him the $60,000 that we agreed on from the beginning. When he had these angry outbursts he would insult me using the words, " You're so stupid", " fuck you"... etc He would also falsely accuse me of things that I didn't say. I would like him to screenshot whatever he's accusing me of and post it here for everyone to see. I have posted some of the screenshots of the insults that he sent me. When he demanded the extra $7,000, I asked him to send me bill that detail what he is charging me for, but he has refused to do that. He knocked down my 2 windows connected to my house and refused to seal them up. So, this creates a safety hazard. I'm writing this to warn potential victims. Please make sure you hire a lawyer before you entrust him into doing any work for him. He does seem nice, please don't fall for that. I read the good reviews on this page about his company and believe them. He told me that he was going to complete the project in 02/2025... It's 05/06/2025 and he hasn't completed the construction. Not only was the work done to our standards but he kept in communication until every single piece was delivered and in place!
