Long story short, we had talked to a couple of other companies and though they seemed knowledgable and/or good enough there was just a noticeable difference. Opus is a first class organization, they are obsessive with details and follow up. There were problems and hiccups no doubt during each phase of each project but they handled them head on without hesitation. They did not deviate from the pricing they committed to at the onset of the project, which was another big and pleasant surprise. Their employees were clean and I feel comfortable with these individuals in my home. I even came home to find my SUV washed because one of the drywall gentleman got it dusty moving material in and out of the garage. So he washed it:) In closing, our home is beautiful and our office is elegant. If we do need anything or any work in the future, Opus One Design Build will be getting my business.

Absolutely Terrible Experience - Avoid Thompson & Boys LLC at All Costs!…read more I contacted Josh Thompson, the owner of Thompson & Boys LLC, and my first interaction was incredibly unpleasant. I explained that I don't have a lot of money right now, so I wanted to start slowly and just do one room at a time. His immediate response was to ask if I could put the job on a credit card. When I told him that I didn't have any credit available due to being on short-term disability since December, he made an extremely inappropriate comment, suggesting that I "learn how to paint myself." This kind of comment was not only rude but completely unnecessary. Despite this, I decided to continue and explained that I had tried painting the house myself 25 years ago when we first moved in, and it ended in disaster. His response? Another snarky remark. At this point, I was already regretting contacting him, but I pushed forward because I still needed the work done. Next, I sent him pictures of the small room (about 10x11 feet) I wanted painted. He said it would take 3 days to finish due to drying time, which seemed completely excessive for such a small room. When I asked him for an official estimate, he texted me a breakdown of $1,600 for labor and $400 for materials. This is absurdly high for one tiny room. I also asked what kind of paint he would use, and he listed "cashmere, superpaint, or emerald" for the walls, and "Emerald Urethane" for the millwork. He stated he would need 3 gallons of tinted primer, 3 gallons of paint, and 1 gallon of urethane. When I mentioned that four years ago, I had paid $6,000 for my entire 1,390 square foot house to be painted with two coats and some minor repairs by a reputable company, Stephens Painting, he responded in the most rude and dismissive way possible: "Let's not waste each other's time. I painted an entire house for $17,000. Material alone was $3,500 for 2,200 square feet." His response completely blew me away, and I couldn't believe the audacity. I was not trying to compare costs, just giving context that I had worked with a professional company before, and his pricing seemed wildly inflated. This entire exchange, from his rude remarks to his outrageous pricing, was just too much. I had more work I wanted done, but at this point, I wouldn't trust him with anything in my home. I will be sharing this review on every platform I can to warn others about his over-the-top pricing, his lack of professionalism, and his rude customer service. I don't want anyone else to go through the same frustrating experience I did. Avoid Josh Thompson and Thompson & Boys LLC at all costs. His poor attitude and ridiculous pricing make it clear that he does not value his customers.

Ilias won't return my calls, and I just got off the phone with Rod who tells me that I should have done my homework before purchasing the home. I've had my application "in processing" for 6+ Months only to find out from a city arborist regarding a tree removal request that my home is not zoned to increase # of units. For the last 6 months they lied to me saying that everything was going well, and that I'm almost to the finish line, then asked for another $1,000 last week for another level of necessary processing with the city. Now they are saying that they told my contractor that it wouldn't pass zoning reform, but were told to submit it anyways, which I believe is a false statement since they have been telling me everything is okay for the past half year, and a terrible business practice by Construction Concepts to accept my money for this project. At this time I haven't received any documentation to back up that claim. I asked that they remedy the situation with a full refund, after which I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then transferred to an extension voicemail and hung up on. Now they won't return my calls or emails.

Since then there has been rescheduling multiple times - the first 2 times was me. But, the last 3 times has been Chad. And, each time there was no communication from his end, I've been asking him about when the work would start and he would tell me on the morning of the installation that it was being rescheduled! Even now for the past 3 days I've emailed and texted him about processing the refund - and he's gone quiet!! This is no way to do business.
