There is a system and it flows to a T. The door to the facility promptly open at 6am. I filled out my paperwork, paid the co-pay and was told to wait for a nurse to get me. Bring a small blanket because it is very cold. First round I wore my shoes and second round I went in my stocking feet. Reason for not wearing shoes was because when they lay you back, it felt uncomfortable with my shoes. Others said it feels like an assembly line. For me it felt like a car wash. Everyone was wonderful. Even though I had a blanket, they put a warm blanket on top of me. Both times there were 2 other patients waiting to go next. I was given multiple eye drops. The first time it felt like I was being water boarded and the second time the nurse slowly counted each drop. I had a terrific anesthesiologist who made darn sure that he supplied me with a great cocktail and nausea medication. When the procedure was over, I skipped the drinks and snacks and couldn't wait to get home to check out my new eyesight. Hope I can put anyone to rest if they are apprehensive about the surgery. The only agony is waiting for the other people to get done. Once those doors open, you are wheeled into the operating room and things move fast. This is when you should take some time to watch the show. To be able to see different unexplainable images without any pain was remarkable. Hearing the doctor say, "Perfect!" Put the shine on this old girl's eyes.

But this place is got a good potentials, initially. The staff were extremely nice and friendly. We did not get to see the doctor in the initial visit. Instead we saw the PA who basically just took down our medical history for future references I guess. We were supposed to get our blood lab work done in the same visit. But somehow due to some unforeseen circumstances, we were denied at first. After pleading with the staff we were then allowed to get the blood work done. It's weird to me because we always get our blood work done. In the same annual physical visits. We never had to "request" for this service. Oh well, not all the offices were as nice as our previous doctor. Probably will still go back for our next annual check ups. But the next time I'll make sure I request to get the blood work done in the same visit!

The Doctor was great and I was prepared to schedule the recommended procedure. I waited 4 months for the staff to get my insurance approval. After I called several weeks in a row I finally got a call back saying that my insurance wouldn't cover it. I requested my records so that I could appeal with my insurance. They never sent them. After many calls later they told me they would charge me $1 per page for my records. To get the insurance to pay THEM!! So disappointing. Now I won't go back even if it gets covered. UPDATE: The day after this review was posted the Doctor posted for me to contact him. He immediately made sure I could get ALL of my records, spoke to his staff, and called me back to make sure they took care of everything.

Before the procedure, I was told that a cuff would be applied, and I expected the procedure to be performed accordingly. I arrived with a full bladder, following all recommendations, but the procedure was done incorrectly, without the cuff, and I was not given any explanation as to what was actually measured. Afterward, I was simply told that the procedure had been completed. I do not understand what procedure this was and what exactly I paid my copayment for. In addition, your staff member, Masha, behaved rudely and unprofessionally. She addressed me in an overly familiar manner ("on ty"), hung up the phone on me, and even said, "I don't want to talk to YOU!" This is absolutely unacceptable when dealing with a patient. I came for professional medical service, not to your home, dear Masha, and certainly not for familiarity or disrespect. Unfortunately, the correctness of the procedure is in serious doubt. It was performed without the cuff, without any explanation, and I still do not know what was actually measured. If the cuff was not used, then perhaps it was a different procedure altogether -- in which case the copayment might also be different. This is absolutely unacceptable in medical practice. I am a patient who came for professional care, not to be humiliated or treated disrespectfully. Dear Masha, I am not calling you personally; I am calling the doctor's office to receive qualified answers and explanations. What was this procedure that was performed without the cuff? What is its correct name? What exactly did you measure? Why was I charged a copayment for something that was performed incorrectly? I demand that the management investigate this situation, provide me with clear explanations, and take appropriate measures regarding the rude and unprofessional behavior of your staff member.
