My husband and I have lived here for just over a year in a 2 bed, 2 bath first-floor unit. The community itself is very pleasant- quiet, well-maintained (the flowers are always so pretty) and welcoming. In the winter, the snow is shoveled, and I have never had any issue navigating the community roads during winter. Management has consistently been kind and professional, and we've never had any issues during our time here. The shared amenities, including the clubhouse, fitness room, and pool, are always clean and in good working order. While the walls can be a bit thin, it hasn't been a major concern and overall noise levels are minimal. Maintenance is one of the highlights of living here- they're incredibly responsive, typically addressing emergency requests within the hour and handling routine work orders within two business days. The trash compactor does fill up fairly often (as mentioned in other reviews), but in many cases, this is due to residents not closing the compactor door and instead leaving their trash nearby, which creates unnecessary buildup. Our rent did increase after the first year, but the adjustment was reasonable and in line with expectations. The location is also a plus- conveniently situated near the freeway and a gas station, which makes our commute into the Cleveland area very manageable. read more

I rented an apartment with this company for 2 years. The apartment grounds are well kept and the pool and work out facilities are nice. I thought the staff in the office was kind and helpful except that after I moved out on June 22,2023 I have yet to receive my security deposit or part of it back. I always leave my apartments clean. If there was minor damage I would have hoped to have been notified and billed accordingly. I have called several times and been told that they will get back to me to no avail. read more

Absolutely ridiculous, they took weeks going back and forth about renting a unit. My partner gave this company a hold fee of a few hundred dollars. They did not give him an offer until over a week later and in that time he found another apartment. He requested to get the fee back and they will not give it back to me because it was over their "72 hour" rule to get the deposit back. The leasing manager immediately got defensive and was so rude. DO NOT recommend working with this company. "72 hour rule" but they took 9 DAYS to give me and offer. How does that work????? read more

I lived there for at least 5+ years. I moved from a 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom. First let me say there is an increase in your rate every year. Unless you're in the high rise the garage is extra. On top of the high rates. Moving out is awful! Unless you pay month by month which is outrageous, you have to pay an early termination fee. I moved out 2 months before my lease ended and still had to pay one full months rent. Then they stick you with an expensive inspection charge! Funny when I moved from one to another I had no charge. Now they want me to pay an additional $283.00!!! So they really get you when leave!! read more

MANAGEMENT IS HORRID. Maintenance is terrible. I am a current resident who has been here for almost two years. The leasing office is VERY nice when you visit to tour. Once you sign the lease, different story. The rent is astronomical, the walls are paper thin, parking is crowded. The dog park is a joke. It's a mud pit after the rains. Management refuses to lay straw or plant grass in the numerous bare dirt spots. The grass is not cut short enough or often enough. The trash compactor is AN ABSOLUTE JOKE. Once it's full, it doesn't compact the trash so it's overflowing. There is no choice but to leave trash outside the compactor. It can be waist high at times. RUN FROM THIS MISERY. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST MANAGEMENT EVER. Debbie is unprofessional and just plain rude. The grounds are not maintained and there is dog feces literally everywhere. The office claims "it is their job" to send out violation notices at a whim. Mgmt is very friendly to get ppl to rent, but once here, it's they are downright mean. The rent is exorbitant ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING IT'S PAINESVILLE. It is literally the WORST apartment complex. In the summer, the pool is over crowded. Forget about a quiet afternoon in the sun. These are the nicest apartments in the area. Rent may seem high but the quality, amenities and facilities make it worth the price. They take good care of the facilities and grounds, are fast to respond to maintenance requests, and everyone at the leasing office is extremely helpful and friendly. We are so happy here! read more

Very sub par management that seemed to be trying to bait me versus help me. I was shown an apartment about 3 weeks before I moved in and after having to answer the question of whether I could afford the place numerous times, I felt indifferent about staying at the complex because I was told I'd have to pay $100 to bring my own washer and dryer and that maintenance would have to move their washer and dryer out of THAT apartment. The news of the wash and dryer was followed with even more questions my about my ability to afford the apartment and after explaining that the rent for the place I was currently staying at was actually more than what they were asking for a smaller apartment AND provided proof of one of my sources of income, the questions kept coming. The actions of the woman who was "helping" me seemed to be more of her trying to discourage me versus help me. I told her I'd think about it, walked away, and decided to apply for the unit I was show due to the lack of decent alternatives specific to my situation, and paid a deposit for THAT UNIT. As she was doing my paperwork at her desk, she pulled out a map of the property, pointed to a box on the map and said that the unit was the same as the unit I was shown but was cheaper and asked me if I wanted that unit instead. I responded by saying that I preferred to take what I had already seen, she even tried to give me directions to the unit and I declined. After having to provide more information than what was required for my proof of income, the application was completed and I was told that I'd get an email regarding whether I had been approved or not. About a week had passed, and since I hadn't heard from them, I called and left a message with the answering service and my call wasn't returned, instead, I got an email from the woman whom I had been working with saying that she needed more information about my income and when I provided that information, I had been approved and was told that I'd get information regarding my move in process when my move in date drew closer (two weeks). The week of the move in, I was sent an electronic version of the lease to sign, and the email stated that I had to sign everything prior to getting my keys. I did as instructed and picked my keys up on a late Friday morning. It should be noted that the woman who handled my move in process wasn't the woman who showed me the unit initially. I'd found out later that the person I was having the new encounter with was the property manager. I drove to the apartment and quickly noticed that I wasn't heading to the unit I was shown. When I arrived to the unit, two main factors that compelled me to want the unit I was show, weren't present at the unit I had been given keys to which caused me to go directly back to the leasing office and the woman who helped me, the leasing manager, had left for the day and that neither her nor the woman who helped me originally would be back till the following Monday. I was told that I would get a call from the manager the following Monday regarding my issue. However, when I was able to speak with her, she seemed to not know what the issue was, causing me to have to explain it, and as I was explaining, she cut me off and said that from her "understanding", the other woman had shown me the unit on a map, and I responded by letting her know that I never agreed to taking the apartment because I hadn't seen it and that if I had, there was no way I would've agreed to taking the unit. After a chaotic and unprofessional phone conversation, the manager hung up in my face calling me rude. I arrived at the office minutes later and experience two very condescending indivduals who were rude to me in front of other future tenants along with the manager's "supervisor" on the speaker phone. Initially I was just asking to be put in the unit I had been shown or one similar to it, and my request was met with zero help or compromise, and I was instead just reminded that I signed the lease. I even threatened to seek legal counsel and was told "that's fine". I also expressed that I no longer wished to stay at an apartment that the management is so unprofessional and it was suggested to me that I turn in my keys, skip out on my rent, and allow the issue to be handled with collections. After letting it be known that I would not hinder my credit report on purpose, I was also told that I could turn in the keys and and walk from the apartment free and clear but that I wouldn't get the refund for the monies paid (deposit, prorated rent for the rest of July, and all of August's rent). This is not fair, people shouldn't be purposely misled, then put at fault when they've realized that things aren't as they seemed. read more

I lived here for 2 years with my fiance. We had everything we needed in these apartments: garage, fireplace, spacious bedrooms, lots of closet space and a fairly open concept in the living room and kitchen area. As for the amenities, there was a pool, a fitness center and a tanning bed in the complex. The staff in the leasing office was always professional and friendly. They were responsive with any requests we had while we there. Also, there is a Sam's Club and Home Depot within walking distance which was super convenient for us. Overall, great option if you are looking to rent in the mentor/painesville area. read more

The place is beautiful, but be forewarned. After you move in, the management staff become rude and disinterested in helping you, especially the red-haired manager. On multiple occasions when I've needed help from them, she has been rude and brushed me off, making me feel like I am bothering her by asking. In addition, she made it clear I would be evicted for a missed payment during this COVID-19 pandemic, regardless if I was able to make up the payment after my income was restored. 1 star service at a 5 star price. read more

Please reconsider when thinking about leasing in this community. The leasing office is unprofessional, uninformed and completely incompetent to assist with any problems or concerns. You will get the runaround any time you have a problem or concern. Lydia showed us the wrong apartment when I signed my lease- it was absolutely unacceptable. If you need something fixed you have to continually call and are sent back and forth to the maintenance people and leasing office. No- one has any idea how to treat the tenants. You have to scream at someone in order to get things done. Unnecessary. The professionalism of the leasing office is lacking and the corporate office cares less when you call. Do not deal with Donell Parker or Lydia Louk because they will only dismiss your concerns to get you off the phone. The are not qualified to work in this position and corporate should be looking for replacements immediately. Rent is high but the service is very low... read more

I'm a current resident and would advise caution. The floor plans are excellent and pool / clubhouse are great. But, the walls and floors are paper thin, so you hear everything from neighbors. The management refuses to enforce the noise clause in your lease, which allows loud parties and screaming until the early morning hours. Parking can be a big issue if you have more than 1 car. 1 garage is provided per apartment, but it may be a decent walk away. The parking spaces are very very limited. A 3 story building with 48 apartments has 29 parking spots; the math shows you may have a long walk in the Cleveland cold to find your car. On the plus side, police patrol though often. read more

Things have improved and I felt it was only fair to mention the good as well as the bad. This spring when the snow finally melted I came upon the entire staff gathered in the parking lot, armed with buckets and pooper scoopers. Yes, the staff was cleaning up after the residents who couldn't seem to do it themselves. I was impressed, but also felt saddened because that surely was outside of their job duties. Also, this morning as I was leaving the complex at 7:30 a.m. I was greeted by staff members handing out brown bags with muffins and OJ stating "thank you for being residents, breakfast is on us". Again, the office doesn't open till 9:00 a.m. yet there they were. Very nice touches and a very pleasant group of people. read more

I couldn't be happier living here! The apartment has been very well maintained and the vaulted ceilings are beautiful! Before I moved in, they replaced all of the carpets and painted the walls, which were a huge plus! The community is gorgeously landscaped and the staff are fast, well-trained, and couldn't be more friendly. By far the best community I've ever lived in! read more

Apparently my review disappeared, so.. We were told the only pet friendly apts in this complex are owned by Lodging Corporation of NE Ohio & we booked with them. Our apt was filthy when we arrived, Many areas of dog urine, table legs, the couch, TV cabinet, door jamm. Couch & cushions smelled like dirty hair. The toilets had black mold under the rim and black streaks draining into the bowl. When contacted, mgmt said they could not afford to clean rugs after each tenant in spite of the $250 fee for cleaning. They did send someone to clean the toilets, but the mold came back in a week. Mgmt was disinterested. Window sills had many dead bugs, dirt blown in around the glass, piles of dead bugs on the floor. We rented a rug scrubber ourselves. The scrubber water was black. We were not able to get up all the spots. This was a bare bones apt,nothing provided for us. We had to buy pillows(theirs were yellow and smelled), dish clothes, towels,wash clothes, chair seats, no even number of glasses or plates, ie 4 juice 6 water, no cereal bowls,no mop, the vacuum did not work so no way for us to clean well. The couch was old, the backs broken down from dogs climbing on them, windows not cleaned in a LONG time since they were covered top to bottom with marks from dog noses. No curtains in the bedroom. Blinds did not close so sun in your eyes at 5:30 am. Most disgusting was the rugs throughout. We know the rugs were not cleaned after went left, either, as they said people were moving in same day we left.Location was great for us, as was the spacing of the buildings, but the place was filthy and mgmt not only refused to clean but unpleasant in the process of the discussion it is possible to having cleaning co. do a poor job, but this was mgmt. They were made aware and refused to clean. read more

I moved into Cobblestone Court in December and have quickly learned that even though rent is high it doesn't mean good customer service. I had absolutely amazing customer service before I signed my lease, once the lease was signed I was nothing more than a rent payment. Twice I had maintenance walk into my apartment without so much as a knock to paint the door and change the air filter. Neither of which was enough of an emergency to just barge in. I've had my heat go out during the dead of winter which took over 24 hours to fix. A broken door that had just been painted over to try and mask the cracks (which was there when we moved in and was never properly fixed). Finally when I was working on a presentation and my printer didn't work I thought "Wow how convenient that I can walk down and use the clubhouse printer" I walked in with about 20 minutes until they closed and typed up my presentation handouts and tried to print. Then the office workers walked in and asked me to leave I said absolutely I'm trying to print right now, I was then told that the internet and printer have been down all weekend and it wasn't going to work. I had asked several times why a note had not been placed on the door and was simply told none of them had the time to do it all weekend. Pure laziness. I was then told that I wouldn't be able to even use a flash drive to retrieve my handouts. They had been so caught up with giving great customer service to their prospective renters they couldn't take care of the people who already pay them. When I tried to explain to her that this was for a real job that I'm not just sitting here printing off cat pictures the woman asked if I was implying her job wasn't a real job. Seriously? The woman then tells me that she had children to get home to and when I responded yes that I had children too she suggested that instead of sitting here on the computer I should spend time with them. This statement was completely inappropriate and even though I was willing to over look the other incidents I am not willing to overlook this one. I was then told that if I refused to stop trying to get my work to print that she would be calling security. Yes, security as if I was some delinquent teenager causing havoc all over the office when never once did I raise my voice, curse, or better yet stand from my chair. I will NOT be renewing my lease and would suggest that living here over living in an actual house is not worth the amenities they offer. read more
