The Bayou Resort is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean but are not overly modern they have all the ammenities that you need to stay for a few day. The kitchenettes have pots & pans, plates & flatware. The resort is almost a stones throw from Norfork lake so you can be in or on the water in about 5-10 minutes. The resort also has a pool if you don't feel like going down to the lake or if you just need to have a change of pace. We have been coming here for 5 years and have always had a good experience. So if you need a place close to the lake you could do alot worse than staying at the Bayou Resort.

It has a boat dock where you can store your boat, and if you don't has a small beach area where you can just swim and hang out. The cabins are clean newly renovated and spacious with upgraded appliances while still offering that "country camping" charm. There is a kids play place with sandpit, fire pit and grills guest can use. Also on Sundays for a fair price they offer the best homemade pizza around. If you do not own a boat you can rent his pontoon for 1/4 the price of anywhere else for the entire day. He has a spacious boat dock to store your boat/ pontoon and a blow up floating trampoline on the water. Take It Easy is not only kid and family friendly but pet friendly as well. He wanted to come in our cabin to "look at a door," but all he did was walk around and look at all of our things, then leave without saying a word. He walked around outside our cabin almost daily with a chainsaw. Never greeted us or acted friendly at all. We were extremely creeped out that he had a key to our cabin and put a chair in front of the door at night. The owner was a very nice elderly lady and we didn't complain to her because she seemed overwhelmed.
