    Brown sugar pearl latte $4.25
    Stephanie T.

A way better and faster option than Chatime. I recently visited for the $2.22 pearl milk tea anniversary promo, and although they were busy, they were efficient and able to make drinks in a reasonably fast manner. If Chatime had the same volume of customers and orders, no way would they be even half as fast as Coco. Also, I think the quality was on par with the CoCo in Richmond, BC. Sometimes I find that the quality between different bubble tea locations of the same chain differ greatly, but I won't get into all that now. I do think this CoCo is better than Chatime in Ottawa, though. I've tried their basic pearl milk tea and brown sugar pearl latte. For their milk tea, I would suggest 30% sugar or 50% sugar, as well as light ice. Note that for the brown sugar pearl latte, they can't adjust the ice or sugar level. Also, they have a milk-only version as well as the tea version, so make sure you're ordering the one you want. Street parking is available on Bank and Somerset. The washrooms are clean. Tip: sign up for their loyalty program. It's super easy, you do it on the iPad when you're by the cashier. And whenever you pay, you input your phone number and you're immediately linked. I think this is way faster than Chatime's method, which requires you to dictate your phone number (the Somerset location doesn't take the vicinity card). Since this is the only CoCo in Ottawa, I think they should open another location soon!

Finally, we have Coco in Ottawa!! I've been wishing for this day to come for a very long time. I've been 2-3 times already since they've opened and the service has been great. They are now doing the "Real Taro" special so this means that their specials/drinks are the same as the ones offered in Toronto. DRINKS Great overall impressions! No complaints about the drinks and even at 100% sweetness, the drink isn't overly sweet. I've tried the following drinks at this location: Taro Sago - Typical powdered taro milk tea BUT not as sweet and artificial tasting. - Mini sago is a refreshing change from tapioca. - You'll be given a small straw instead of the regular tapioca ones and it seems to work fine. Pearl Roasted Milk Tea - Super milky and not enough tea flavour - Loved the tapioca in this drink, and here at Coco it seems like they don't skimp on the toppings. Three Guys - My favourite drink on the menu! 3 guys is a milk tea based drink with 3 toppings (pudding, tapioca, and grass jelly) - I'd recommend getting a large for this drink since they overload it with toppings. Fresh Taro with Milk Tea (added tapioca) - They don't joke about the fresh taro, but if you're used to the artificial stuff then this drink is not for you! You might find it gritty and the taro might get stuck in the straw cause some of the pieces are too big. - Loved the combo with the milk tea and I recommend adding the tapioca. Fresh Taro with Milk - A simpler rendition of the fresh taro and there is no tea in this version SERVICE They don't seem to have "Vicinity" which is the points system used by their Toronto counterpart - might be a bit of a hassle if you have some points stocked up. The staff always says "Welcome to Coco" when you enter and quickly asks you what drink you want to get. You'll be given a receipt with a number on it, once the drink is ready they will call your number. I haven't waited longer then 5-10 mins. AMBIANCE/OTHER Lots of seating space such as benches and tables. The only complaint is not having 2 garbage cans. They only have one near the middle back seating area so sometimes it has been a pain to walk back there when there is a long line waiting to get their orders in.

I have some mixed feelings about CoCo ! When I've been there it has been okay, service was a bit slow but they helped me pick out dairy free items so that I could get something to drink. The reason I have mixed feelings is because previously my friend went to the same location explaining that she was vegan and couldn't have dairy, she asked what menu items were dairy free and a staff member told her that everything was dairy free. This isn't the case. My advice is to be weary that there aren't very many options for you if you're lactose intolerant, have a dairy allergy, or are vegan. The options that are given ARE good they're just limited. Keep that in mind & have fun! The COVID-19 precautions taken were very similar to many fast food restaurants, nothing special! Just effective :)

    Yummy taro milk tea !

Love coming here. Its a tried and true spot. I can always count on them for being consistent with their drinks. For $$ value and overall quality, CoCo is hands down my fave bubbletea spot in the city. Service is always efficient and seating and waiting area always looks clean.

I go to Coco just about every day to feed my bubble tea addiction. The milk tea is very good, note that when they use the powder, it is not real milk. So people who have lactose problems and have the milk tea here. Just about every time I get a pearl milk tea with no sugar. Sometimes I get a taro milk tea as well. The fresh Taro is a little bit greedy, I prefer the fake taro. If you bring a cup they can put your drink in there.

Always down for a new bubbletea shop in town because this keeps the boba life fresh and competitive. Hoping there will be more and more so I don't have to drive all the way from Barrhaven etc. I've had CoCo in Toronto, Vancouver and in Asia. The menu isn't as extensive as the ones I have seen; missing the salty cream drinks Atmosphere: Clean, cute, slightly narrow as a shop but probably good amount of tables and chairs for now - although I find it does get very packed on certain nights. Drinks: I don't drink milky drinks so I usually opt for fresh tea and Yakult drinks. Yakult is a sweet yogurt like beverage, very light and enjoyable. I've tried the Green Tea and Grapefruit yakult here - Grapefruit was super refreshing and so far my favorite. Strawberry slush - this was amazing. Apparently they make the strawberry puree fresh everyday which probably makes this bomb AF. Customization: ice level: no ice, less ice, slight ice, normal, extra ice Sugar level: 0% 30% 50% 70% 100% 120% Toppings: Pearl, Pudding, Grass Jelly, Coconut Jelly, Red Bean, Sago

Usually 5.20$ but 3.99$ till dec 31. Milk pearl tea. So good.

It featured apples, banana, mango and ginger and it was full of flavour. It was sweet and tart and definitely a must try! Drunken Monkey with spinach: - I ordered the Drunken Monkey with vegan protein powder and spinach. I found my drink lacked a bit of flavour (they scoop the fruit into the cup before blending and a big chunk of fruit created a big air hole, which I think is the reason my drink lacked flavour) but I was really happy with the whole ingredients used and the added protein powder. The service was a little slow but the employee was really nice and I enjoyed looking at the artwork on the walls. Would We Return? My first visit to a Whole Foods Market was years ago, after completing a job interview in Yorkville…read morein Toronto. I definitely remember what I got: a slice of tiramisu. At that time, it was the only Whole Foods in the greater Toronto area. Whole Foods has grown on me, likely because Markham has one and I frequent it often. I don't fit the profile of a typical Whole Foods shopper who tends to carry expensive handbags, must get everything organic, and can afford all things expensive, including tiny bottles of elixirs that extend their years on planet Earth. I like their dairy-free items. I love Carbonaut bread and the entire bakery section, including tiramisu. There are specific items that I get at this store. If I'm looking for romaine lettuce or celery, you'll likely see me at a grocery store that offers these items at normal, cheaper prices. Four years ago, I was in the Glebe and saw this Whole Foods store. I didn't go in. I had already got what I needed at a Metro. On my most recent visit, after spending a few hours exploring the area with a friend, I realized that I needed almond beverage and lemons. I had yet to set foot in any grocery store. They were good reasons to check this store out. I had parked underground. The elevator got me to this store. I exited the elevator on the main floor to hit Winners. This store has a cafe that occupies the entire floor. It was busy just before noon. People must love getting coffee and a baked good here. When I returned just past 5 pm, you could hear crickets on this floor. The cafe was closed. It was different. My local one is still open when I'm there at 7 pm. I have yet to hit the cafe at any Whole Foods location. I took the escalator up to the second floor, which is where the entire supermarket is. I immediately found almond beverage. Organic. Sugar-free. Perfect. I also found the produce area. The Rainier cherries looked good. They were also so expensive that I blocked the price out and moved on. I got a couple of lemons. You could get a bag of six. The price was the same if you calculated how much one lemon was going for, so you might as well pick your own pristine-looking lemons. I looked around. It has the usual salad and hot food bars. You pay by weight, which does add up if you aren't careful. There were lots of snacks and drinks to choose from. A can of flavoured carbonated water was going for $2.69. It makes you wonder how this store determines the prices that it sets. It was enjoyable looking at the plants and flowers. It's a nice grocery store. I had an equally nice woman at the checkout area. I paid for my items with a debit card. I didn't need a bag. My lemons were already in one, so I carried it and my carton of almond beverage to the elevator. It was convenient taking the elevator down to the underground parking lot. I walked to my car, paid for parking, and left. The lemons and almond beverage were great. I'm glad that I got what I needed at this store. I had a fun time shopping here. It's my second Whole Foods that I've been to where it has two floors. We'll see if I return in another four years. Maybe I'll try the cafe... haha! (262)

I'm always excited to try out new bubble tea places, and it was pretty good. I went after work on a Monday and there was a steady stream of customers. There was a slight wait for my drink, but it wasn't that long. Service was very friendly but they didn't have some drinks and sort of discouraged me from ordering some drinks, lol. So I expressed interest in the Taro Milk Tea, but wanted to ask what kind of milk they used (like non-dairy creamer (yuck, not a fan of Coffee Mate-like products) or real cow's milk and if the latter, 2%, whole milk, or skim). The guy at the cash register didn't seem to know the answer to any of my questions and deferred them all to the guy making the drinks, lol. I was told that if I wanted a taro drink he recommended the Taro Frappe because the Taro Milk Tea is just powder and milk. The menu actually says "made with real taro" but hey if the dude making the drink is telling me they use powder, I'm figuring it's made with powder, lol. So I decided to pass on all taro drinks. I asked about the Hokkaido Milk Tea and was told they didn't have that. Ok then. The guy suggested I get a fruit tea. So I asked about the Wintermelon tea and I didn't quite catch what he said about it, but he then said he recommended the Hawaiian Green Tea because "it's really good." The Hawaiian Green Tea was listed as Mango, Peach and Passion Fruit and I don't like the passion fruit seeds that usually come with passion fruit teas, and told him that and he said no problem he could sub out the passion fruit with a different fruit like strawberry. I said sure and got the Hawaiian Green Tea with strawberry instead of passion fruit and with tapioca. It was $6.49. I got no sugar and less ice (which they call "cold." They call the default amount of ice "freezing" and no ice "lukewarm"). The drink was quite tasty, even though it didn't have any real fruit chunks in it that I could see. I read on the Skip the Dishes menu for the Kingston location that they use fruit jam. I'm happy to report that my drink wasn't too sweet. The tapioca were soft and chewy. Overall, I was pleased with my drink. Happy to have another bubble tea option in town. Paid street parking or paid parking lot/garage/parkade only.
