I'm starting to notice a pattern with these blatantly Taiwanese milk tea joints: They tend to have interesting menus.
While most milk tea places have your expected milk tea, caramel milk tea, milk tea with pearl and so on... Taiwanese franchises like Dakasi and CoCo here seem to branch out. CoCo seems to focus on the fruit flavored teas. Sure, they have a good selection of milk teas and lattes but they seem to have more focus on tea and fruit tea than anything. Call me a weirdo, but I like that. And have I mentioned how fresh their tea tastes? You get that nice punch of fruit flavor *and* the distinct bitterness that comes with tea. Neither one overpowers the other. I really like that.
My personal favorite though is the honey lemon with aloe The large is a good size and the combination of lemon and aloe are great when you're really thirsty. Also, you get a whole sliced calamansi in your drink. If you're like me, you can try to squish it with your straw and get the calamansi out into the lemon. read more
