Tried the gluten free bakery for some lunch and had a good chicken salad sandwich ($6.99) made on gluten free bread that tasted pretty close to the real deal with gluten. Sandwich was stacked high with fresh veggies as well. Also had a lovely chocolate chip cookie (2 for $3.50); it was more crumbly than I prefer but it had a good chocolate chip cookie taste. They have 2 tables inside the bakery to dine at. There's usually 2 sandwich types and a soup that's available along with all the fresh baked goods. read more

My friend and I came here for dinner as an idea from a third friend of ours who had been before. We were both pleasantly surprised! The restuarant itself has a patio out front and is quaint and cozy inside. Parking is a bit of an issue; but as is for many places on Corydon. One thing we didnt care for was we had to order first at the counter and didnt get table service. We felt table service would have bit more personable and added to our experience. The menu has a very good variety of reasonably priced healthy items. There is a good selection of vegan, dairy free, vegetarian, gluten free and options with meat for choosing. We ordered the vegan "cauliflower wings" to share which were amazing! My friend ordered the taco vegan salad and I had tofu "chicken" strips and fries. We both found the portions to be just right and both of our meals were very tasty. We absoultly loved the little addition of the fresh healthy vegan/gluten free/vegetarian bake shop and cooked items for purchase. I ordered a vegan date square to go post my dinner and my friend ordered the energy bites. We both found our desserts to be very yummy and again affordable. We will be comming back for sure as the menu has some great things we want to try! read more

This place is a God Send for people with food allergies! Especially those with Gluten Intolerence or Celiac Disease. Great cakes and bread. Fish and chips and Chicken fingers for those that have been craving a gluten free option but miss the crisp crunch since being diagnosed with allergies or intolerence to gluten will be incredibly excited to be able to eat these without the stomach ache after. The staff are friendly and the owner is someone who truly understands what it takes to make good food that is gluten free but still delicious. They have a fantastic chef but also have a baking team that has been putting out cakes for special events for those who have gluten issues for the last couple of years from their previous location on Tache. My friend and I went to Cocoabeans because my son works there as one of the cooks and we wanted to experience the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is intimate yet warm and I must say that when I ordered the Old fashioned chicken salad I wasn't expecting such a delicious bite of food. The portion was perfect and the drizzle of balsamic was wonderful in each bite. My friend had the Umami omelet and enjoyed it thoroughly as well. The wait staff were very pleasant, attentive and welcoming. Will definitely go back to try more of the menu and some goodies from the bakeshop! read more

I came in wanting a snack so i got their vanilla cupcake. Upon upwrapping it, it was cold so iasked if theu could warm up for me which they did. To be honest the cupcake i had tasted really dry and bland. Probably wont come back here for their desserts and maybe try out their menu read more

Overall, fresh food but menu is limited. Excellent for lunch type items but not really a dinner type restaurant. Also limited seating area.

I am so grateful there is a place like this in Winnipeg. Not the greatest parking here and it doesn't look like much from the outside...even the inside could do with a bit better decorating...BUT the food is awesome! It's so great to find a place that offers gluten AND dairy free baking and pastries. I especially love their pastries as it is a rare treat for me to be able to have pastries anywhere. My favourite are the eclairs and cream puffs. I hope they bring in even more varieties. For Valentine's Day they did these adorable little heart shaped cakes that said love on them that were dairy and gluten free and were so yummy! I also love that their bread and their flour mix. I've had a sandwich here that was delicious also. I wish they offered more things with coconut milk. I like almond milk but for latte's I prefer coconut milk and actually there are a lot of desserts and pastries that are excellent with coconut milk and actually taste better that way than with almond milk. That's another thing it would be nice if they add in the future. read more
