I bring my 4 year old and 2 year old during school closures to their Art Sense class. It is…read moreperfect, because they both can be there together. They both really enjoy the class and my 4 year old always ask when we can go to the next art class. The class is 45 minutes long, but I would say the first 10-15 minutes is free play where they set up a few art inspired stations for the kids to explore, approximately 20 minutes of more structured art class, then 10 minutes for clean up and story time. The -1 comes from two things... 1 - It can be costly to do drop in classes for both kids. It is $35/kid, though they do give a 20% sibling discount, so it is $63/2 kids, plus the $2 service from the site vs. $100/month/kid which would be equivalent to approximately $25/class. It is a way more affordable to enroll monthly but they do not offer Art Sense classes over the weekend so it is not really supportive of kids that attend school during the week. It would be nice if they had an option to buy X amount of classes upfront at the $25/rate that could be used amongst multiple children. We've tried other art classes in neighboring towns and I would say Kidcasso is probably at the higher price point. 2 - This only happened once but there was one class where the teacher did not show the end product upfront for the kids. I am not sure if this was intentional to allow creative freedom but for one of my kids that appreciates a bit more structure to build confidence, I could tell she was more cautious and waiting to see what other kids were doing or asking me for some guidance. The other times when she knew what the end goal was she was more confident creating her artwork and leverage her creative freedom to still create something that was hers. For my other child, she did not care because she doesn't follow rules/directions anyways. It didn't impact the experience for my children, but it was something that was noticeable for one of my children in how they approached that specific art class.

I'm a newbie sewer and was trying to attempt to create box cushions. I broke the needle on my…read moremachine and thought I had an issue with my machine because the stitching was getting bunched up. I brought it into Marie's to see if they can fix it. Theresa was there and she so kindly replaced the needle for free and expertly pointed out that I had the tension on the wrong setting, which fixed the issue! I needed a zipper attachment and she showed me how to replace the main needed with it and how to adjust it. Theresa was so kind and patient and I very much appreciate her help! Thank you!

What a great place. I go to WCMS regularly and know many adult students and parents of school-age…read moremusic students but have never heard a complaint. It's in a warm and inviting setting in a beautifully restored home filled with gorgeous woodwork. The teachers are wonderful, and when you enter you can hear the muted sounds of piano, violin, and cello coming from beyond the studio doors upstairs. Downstairs are rock, electric, and group/ensemble lessons. On the main level there are spacious waiting areas and a performance hall for recitals. The School also presents numerous performances for the community including free faculty recitals throughout the year featuring classical music, and a faculty rock band that does covers of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and U2 at a local theater auditorium. The faculty are very gifted musicians. If you're looking for high quality instruction in a great location that's well-run and very welcoming, I highly recommend it.

As an adult learner, I highly recommend WCMS. I retired over a year ago and decided to learn the…read morepiano. I devoted nine months to self study and after nearly six months of making very little progress, I decided that I needed a teacher. Initially, Laura focused on helping me correct the technical errors that prevented my progress and, before the semester ended, I saw that I was making real progress. I should note that I only stayed at WCMS for that one semester. Thanks to Laura, I saw enough improvement and enjoyed the experience enough to matriculate in the Associates in Music at Bunker Hill Community College. Had I not done that, I would have continued at WCMS and gotten a good workout, too (I took the train to Wedgemere).

Lindsay and her staff are great teachers and people. Young students learn to dance, but most…read moreimportantly have fun doing it. It is a great family atmosphere and after five years and three students, I am still happy.
