Honestly this place use to be a good bargain. You would see the quantity then you would see the prices and you know that this is a deal but now I find myself really looking for the bargains. Don't get me wrong as would still find what your looking for from a bag of potatoes to a garden shed. I mean the place does have anything you would need, it's just that the prices are normally and by the time the cashier adds the VAT then you know it is less than glamorous. I have resorted to waiting for the Makro mail so I can identify special offers and deals for there fresh meats.

It sells food products, electrical goods, tools, furniture, clothing and shoes, housewares, wines, spirits and beers, toiletries, giftware, stationery, in fact everything that you would find in a traditional department store, only without the luxury surroundings. You do have to be careful to remember that the prices on the merchandise do not include V.A.T. so some things are not as much of a bargain as they appear to be.
COSTCO tire center-Enfield CT…read more I am writing to post my disappointment with a recent experience at your tire service center. I purchased tires for my Jeep at Costco with the understanding that while the pricing is typically at full retail, the added value comes from Costco's reputation for exceptional service, professionalism, and customer support. Unfortunately, my experience on this visit did not reflect those standards. I had a 5:30 PM appointment for a tire rotation and balance. I arrived 10 minutes early and was told I would receive a call when the work was complete in about an hour. . After waiting over an hour without any update, I returned to the counter at 6:40 PM to check on the status of my vehicle. I was met with a dismissive attitude and informed--rather defensively--that only one mechanic was working and he was doing the best he could. I finally received my vehicle at 7:15 PM, nearly two hours after my scheduled appointment time. When I spoke with management, I was told the delay was due to staffing issues and I was expected to be understanding of the one man team's stress and workload. While I empathize with any staffing challenges, I believe it is not the customer's responsibility to bear the burden of internal operational issues. The expectation when booking an appointment--especially with a reputable company like Costco--is that the agreed-upon time will be respected and service delivered professionally. This experience has led me to question whether there is any remaining value in purchasing tires through Costco. If I am paying full price but receiving substandard service, consumers might as well shop around for the best deal elsewhere. I hope you take this feedback seriously and take steps to ensure other customers don't face similar frustrations. Although I am entitled to free rotations, I informed the manager I would rather pay another mechanic to do the job, properly and timely, than get it free at Costco.

Getting here you really need a car as it is not idealistic to take public transit since there's not a station nearby. This is a massive warehouse. The front area has a small produce selection, massive frozen choices and some dry goods on the other side. The back side mainly consists of bulk items for those that run shops. It's highly recommended to come earlier because according to some friends, there have been days where just about everything was out of stock. So do be aware of this. There's a selection of vegetables, tofus, meats, desserts in the fresh produce. The frozen section is incredibly massive and has just about everything you are looking for! Dumplings, cakes, meats, fish balls of all sorts, etc. The dry goods have a nice variety of noodles, sauces, spices and snacks! As of right now they are rather short on staff so the queue is a pretty long at the moment! Overall pretty good first impression since I came and everything is well stocked. Definitely a place to check out!

There is also plenty of parking spaces down the back roads all around the high street if you are travelling by car, just dont get lost in the mazes of one way steets surrounding the shop. When i saw cash and carry, i use that term loosely. It pretty much sells only asian foods, asian ingredients and fruit and veg. It also has a drinks machine, if you find yourself thirsty and you are going past. I find the inside slightly dirty, probably because they transfer the fruits and veg in and out of the store daily, which has also left the floors looking worn out and dirty.
