The drinks are always made perfect and the service is incredible. Within the second time of going there, the staff had already remembered me and were very welcoming. Their food is also good quality(for a coffee shop). The reason why im giving it four stars and not five, is there's always the same annoying people outside all day, everyday. They were friends with the staff so, of course, they have first digs on the outside seating. They don't let anybody sit down and will not move for nobody. I guess that kind of makes a dent on the business for people who want to sit outside.

The cafe is quite long with tables going to the far end of the long room. There are steps part way along but the front part of the shop (at street level) is accessible to everyone. There are plastic tablecloths and the decor is a bit jaded but clean, with attractive pictures on the walls, and plants here and there. My only criticism would be that the cutlery (which you collect yourself from a tray) was a bit smeary. Not actually dirty I don't think (I hope not) but probably washed but not rinsed from the soapy water). I gave ours a good wipe with a napkin before we used it!

It couldn't have been nicer and you'd go a long way to find more helpful people. Although there's a large range of baguette fillings on the huge wall board, you can request a different combination of your choice. My husband was able to choose various fillings for his baguette from the selections offered behind the glass counter. You can choose from different breads as well - oat, wholegrain, etc - and everything is freshly made in front of you by the staff wearing gloves. There are some hot meals available too - see the blackboard for daily specials - and you can have the baguette heated too. As I can't eat wheat, I asked if I could have a salad bowl (again,not on the menu) and I was able to choose what I preferred (coleslaw, grated cheese, tomato, cucumber, spiced rice, pineapple). Our meals were made (you get a lot for your money)and served quickly by friendly people. The coffees were excellent and everything came in lovely china. Everything is clean and attractive; there are lots of round tables to sit at inside but there are tables and chairs outside too, although they are at the side of the busy shopping street. Next time we're in Pontypridd we'll go straight back there!
