If you are American and need a taste of home or something other than French food run here. It's just like an America diner, serving breakfast , lunch and dinner food all day long. We had much needed pancakes and chili con carne that came with chips and rice. The espresso was quite good here too! Service was friendly and prompt and spoke a bit of English. Looking for a place to eat really quickly, and they were kind enough to seat us inside despite how busy it was. The food was absolutely incredible. I'm from America and told myself I won't eat at 1 restaurant twice during my stay but the American food here is better than the American food back at home.. especially for me being a vegetarian. Great place that is decorated like a 50s diner. Burger and malts the whole 9 yards. The decor is US presidents. Great food and music. The manager/owner lived in America for a few years and spoke perfect English. I recommend it to anyone traveling from the States and want a bit of home. read more

My last meal at Coffee Parisien, will very like be my last meal at Coffee Parisien. Aside from the lackluster service and mediocre meal, the nail in the coffin was the fact that when I went to pay (I had to go to the counter to pay, since no one came to the table to take our money) the person cashing me out (who was also my waiter) didn't even look up to acknowledge me OR thank me after I paid. After hearing a decent amount about Coffee Parisien, I went late one Sunday afternoon (around 15h45) to grab something to eat. Aaah!!! The LINE!!!! I almost had a heart attack when I saw how many people were waiting to eat. Fortunately, a big group left and a succession of people were seated, thankfully including us. One and a half minutes after sitting, someone asked if we were ready to order. A little premature, but sadly we wouldn't see someone else for the next ten minutes. Finally, I ordered the eggs florentine. Kind of yuck. I know this dish is usually heavy, but my eggs were drowning in sauce. And not delicious sauce that I'd want to sop up with my hash browns and english muffin (not a real english muffin if anyone is counting) but a sauce with entirely too much cinnamon. It was almost like a dessert sauce, gross. My dining partner got the chicken club which looked pretty decent. He ate the entire thing, but that doesn't say much. I did notice that the guy next to me ordered a burger when we sat down. When it came out, it looked more like a slider it was so tiny. I think I could eat three of them before I was full. Well, that's pretty much what he did because after he finished he ordered another main dish. Since when is a cheese burger and fries an starter? Especially at around 15€. All the while, I was watching the sea of people waiting growing and the waiters and waittresses becoming more fatigued, confused, stressed. Every time the door opened (which was a lot because of the line of people waiting) huge gusts of cold air would come in making it rather unpleasant for anyone remotely close to the entrance. The one thing I liked about this place was the counter. It was like a real American diner counter. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be coming back to check it out. We stopped by here to grab some coffee while we were waiting to meet up with someone. It was a Saturday afternoon and surprisingly packed inside. We had backpacks with us so decided to grab a table. After ordering just a coffee and hot chocolate, they politely informed us that tables were only for people who eat food and that usually drink only orders are only for bar area. They were still nice about it but we felt bad. Compared to the other coffee and hot chocolate we had in Paris, this place was just ok. It was interesting though that they served breakfast all day and other menu items. Plus, being an American, going to this place was kind of a surprise since it's all American themed - American flags, pictures of presidents, etc. More of a diner than a coffee shop. read more

Great burger in a lively setting! We came here on the recommendation of our friend who is Parisian on a Friday night. Yes it was crowded so we opted for sitting at the counter and had a great time chatting with the owner/manager who made us two fantastic cheeseburgers with fries... I loved the fact that everything was served with American flags sticking out of them. The menus also had all all presidents and i lovedefraying Satan goatees on those whom I considered evil. Apparently the owner felt the same way because he laughed when he saw what I did! We also received complimentary chips and salsa since we had to wait a little but for our order. Everyone was friendly and we enjoyed ourselves. The food is good diner food fare for those who are missing a taste of the USA while in Europe. I love me some French food but this was a nice break!! This is by far the best place is in Paris to have American food. there are actually two locations, the other being in the 16th. eventhough the food is typically "american" (burgers, shakes, eggs benedicte, etc) the crowd is very Parisien, with a lot of kids/students from the neighborhood (even saw Charlotte Gainsbourg there once with her kids). the burgers and eggs benedicte are to die for. great place for dinner or lunch! it is always packed but the turn over is pretty quick. read more

Favorite american style place for brunch in paris. Cant go wrong with their burgers or eggs. Pancakes and french toast are definetly worth getting to share at the table. I generally go for eggs benedict, a side of bacon and a BLT melt to share. Sadly it was my recommendation to have brunch at Coffee Parisien. The s ervice was as basic as going to MacDo's pre order line ... Hi, what would you like? Going off to get and deliver the order and then going to the bar to pay. Mind you my cheese burger was good, the ribs a bit drowned in sauce, and the galette delicious as usual. Cheese cake seemed like it was made out of a box and the ile-floatant as tasty as pure milk. But for 30€/person, and a quiet Sunday brunch (the restaurant was only half full) we felt a little neglected. The waiter served before us, the table beside us, that she seated 10mins after us. How annoying that was. Its like the person behind you in line get served first even though you've been waiting all this time! OK service has never been their strong point, but usually, meaning the last few times last year, the place has been packed with a wait of 10-15 mins and of course a few recognizable faces to pass the time people watching.
