But what excites me the most was the breakfast. We came down expecting the standard Turkish breakfast and I was overjoyed to find different selections!! This gorgeous Trabzon cheese, lots of veggies and pickles. I am sure these are regional specialties as well as catering to Georgian guests. The picture might not look like much but I was really happy to try new things!

Like many of the restaurants in the area, they have two things- fresh, amazing grilled fish (balık) and deliciously garlicky grilled meatballs (köfte). They also offer accompanying salads, homemade pickles (typical of the region), cornbread (ditto), tea, fruit, and hazelnut baklava (hazelnuts are the main export of the region). The service was outstanding. What an amazing experience!
