Instead, the documents he produced placed one sibling (my sister) in sole control of everything (trustee, executor, power of attorney, health care decisions) while sidelining the others. This structure ran completely counter to my parents' clearly stated wishes for equal treatment among their three children. Even more troubling, Jeter continued with a meeting despite my father (who is 90 years old) twice stating he did not want to proceed. That total disregard for my father and mother left us with the impression that one sibling's agenda was prioritized over our parents' actual voice not to mention borderline elder abuse and coercion. My father was angry when forced into a Zoom meeting by Jeter, my sister and her second husband. The documents he created also contained red flags: "Gift equalization" language that could be used to reclassify legitimate loans as gifts. Waivers of bond and reporting, removing normal safeguards and accountability. No checks or balances, essentially consolidating all authority into one person's hands. Estate planning should protect families and reflect the true intent of the clients. In our case, these drafts would have increased conflict and stripped away fairness. I was so concerned by his conduct that I filed a complaint with the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission. I cannot recommend this attorney and urge others seeking balanced estate planning to look elsewhere.

It took almost 3 years to settle my case and was told the settlement (because my bran new car was rear ended as well as I was seriously hurt), would be substantial - turned out to be insignificant. They had me sign - and I only heard from Mr. Blackburn once by phone before the case was settled. When I called to inquire - was always sent to a para-legal or office clerk who had to ask the attorney. Also was told I would have Mr. Blackburn, and ended up at mediation being sent to David Singleton, whom I had never met. Also, felt he wasn't trying his best for my benefit. They would not let me meet in person with the at-fault driver/and her insurance company when settling the claim - however - brought in their own personal mediary who would go to a private room where the the at-fault driver and her insurer were - then come back and tell me what they would offer. It makes a person wonder if they pocket part of the claim for their benefit because the settlement they offered was very small. Would have been nice to go to court, however, was not physically able from the severe injuries acquired from this accident.

I had all my medical reports and my own doctor had written a devastating letter against me which cost me my case. My settlement was for $15,000. My portion was $6,198.14. They showed me that they were paid less than me, but they charged me approx. $1,000 to sign me up which was not disclosed and they charged a lot of other "office fees". There was even a large fee for a person to "put my file together." I think it is very deceitful to go on tv and advertise that they will never get paid more, but they charge office fees that other attorneys do not charge. That is not the worst. After they received the settlement check they got their money, but did not pay me. Around May 15, 2016 they received my payment. As of November of 2016 I still had not been paid. SIX MONTHS LATER AND I STILL HAD NOT BEEN PAID. As a matter of fact I had to contact the State Bar to force them to pay me. Even after the State Bar told them to pay me they still took over a month. I had to write a second letter to the State Bar telling them they still hadn't paid me. The State Bar had to threaten to take away their license if they did not issue the check. It was only then that they finally paid and it still took more time. It was excuse after excuse. It is my opinion that they are spending so much money on advertising that they do not have sufficient funds to pay the clients. All they had to do is attend one meeting. I knew I was going to settle and told them all I wanted them to do was to attend that meeting and help me to get the most money. My payout should have been substantially more. That is not all. Their contract states that they are to resolve all issues with all the insurance companies and Medicare. Medicare was demanding that they be repaid for the medical payments they made that were related to the accident. Medicare was very demanding and threatening to stop all payments of my medical coverage until they were repaid. I contacted Blackburn & Green and they refused to deal with the matter. I had to resolve this with the insurance company to keep them from attaching my bank account and to keep my medical insurance. It was all one claim. The car damage and my medical bills. This took months and hours of my time to end the harassment. Given my medical condition, I cannot afford to lose my insurance. Mr. Green contacted the courts and demanded I settle and he get paid. He sat at the opposite table and lied to the Judge that there were no Medicare claims. Unfortunately, the Judge believed him. All the owner cared about was getting his check. I will not be surprised if this company does not end in a scandal about not paying clients. Don't trust them, they lie.

All they did was prolong abuse and allienation that was being done and hurt the child and parent further. After dropping this firm, we found an attorney that did everything she wouldn't and fixed what had been done, but not before more harm came to the child.... What kind of firm says they're there to help the family and then after they get you locked in for a nice cozy amount, then they let you know how little they don't care. Do the research, I promise you it's worth it. There are so many groups, firms, and attorney That do what's right by the families and the child. One that will work with you, get invested, and care while making solid recommendations with Counseling, GAL's, and court assistance. They are literally only for the money in your pocket.
