Ms. Jill Cohen didn't do her research on which party to sue. I was walking across a six lane Avenue. I was in the crosswalk. She was supposed to file a lawsuit against the driver's employer. The driver who tried to attempt a "hit and run" told me to sue his employer. She wouldn't listen to me. She didn't send me to all the medical specialists due to injuries from the impact of the vehicle. The driver was only one block from his job. He was correct. Ms. Cohen sued the wrong party. It cost me a financial loss due to Ms Cohen rushing the contingency case so that she could get paid. She's not concerned with the best interest of the client, I'm sorry to say. I had the worst experience with unprofessional, rude, disrespectful, dishonest, time wasters, and many more negative things with the Law firm of Cohen & Cohen. They had my case for 19 months. However, I only talked once to my extremely rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, disgusting lawyer and human in the entire world. The lawyer's name was JILL. She talked to me only once for about three minutes. She did not listen to me! She did not answer any of my questions! She was yelling and screaming at me! She did not let me talk! She called me a liar and said no one would believe a person like me. I do not know who the hell she thought she was by talking to her client like this. I paid her to help me with my case, not to call me a liar or scream at me. They had a settlement for my case after eight months, but they held my case for no reason for another 11 months. I was not happy about their trashy work on my case. I asked them to transfer my case to another law firm. Every two to three months, a new person was handling my case. I was not sure why no one does not stay in this Law office for more than a few months, but I know the reason now. The reason was that RUDE woman JILL. If she can be rude to her clients, imagine how she can treat her employees. DO NOT BE FOOLED like me by the fake reviews on their website. In February 2022, a friend of mine, Patricia Carter, was rear ended by a individual, who had State Farm Insurance. She asked Cohen & Cohen to represent her. Patricia's car was totaled as a result of the accident. She was unable to work, attended therapy and a lot of doctor appointments for several months. As a result of having no automobile, I drove her to wherever she needed to go. Recently Patricia was offered $3,000.00 to settle, which was ridiculous after everything she has been through. Her lost wages, pain and suffering were not considered. Now, another attorney has been hired to help resolve the case. Cohen & Cohen did not work in her best interest. I was "represented" by this attorney practice (Siri Palm) and was left mostly in the dark with hardly any communication. I would have to send multiple emails and calls before I got a response. In my opinion, the office has too many cases to handle, as my attorney constantly referenced being so busy, and my case was too small in compensation to be given it's true diligence. It took over a year for a case with no injuries or long standing treatment. And there may have been a possible breach of agreement and my attorney did not call to explain but emailed a vague explanation and proceeded to brush the incident under the rug. read more

Wayne Cohen of Cohen & Cohen is one of the easiest attorneys to work with. He's aggressive when he needs to be, but towards his clients, he is receptive, responsive, calm, and very helpful. He helped me out with some questions that were probably incredibly simple for him, but I never felt like I was less important than some of his bigger clients. I'm not trying to bash these lawyers BUT I should've learned from the first day I met with the paralegal. Obviously, I got into an accident (my first actually) with uber, and the uber driver suggested I get a lawyer. I called Cohen and Cohen and was redirected to a paralegal and met with her in person shortly after. The meeting went great however, something happened that I should've paid attention to: There was a young woman in there arguing and upset that no one had contacted her about her case and the case had been going on for over a year. The paralegal made her seem crazy. So I brushed that off. NINE MONTHS LATER....I'm in the same boat. They do NOT communicate at ALL. Additionally, they are VERY SLOW. And YES I know that the legal process is quite tedious however, the fact that I got into ANOTHER accident in August, and settled with the insurance company MYSELF within 2 months is astonishing. Let me give you the facts. The case I had with Cohen and Cohen HAD medical bills. No damage to MY car, per se because I was in an uber. Cohen and Cohen got me a little over $1000 - after medical bills and their cut. The accident I got into in August, included my car (someone rear ended me, DC people CANNOT drive, and this is coming from someone from Miami, FL of all places), I had damage, NO Medical bills, and still received 3 times the amount for pain and suffering. I negotiated that MYSELF. So I say all that to say, maybe they're good people, but for my particular case, this was MY experience and it was one I wish I could've avoided. Other notable things to say: when I did speak with them, they were polite and nice and always professional but I always called THEM. They never called me. According to them, back in August, they approved the settlement and gave me a form to sign and assured me I should get the settlement soon. Its 10/31, and NOTHING. So I would read these reviews carefully. If you hire them, proceed with LOTS of caution. read more
