Tea, biscuits and a kettle were provided, with a little desk so I could do a bit of work on my laptop, and there was also a tv, but I didn't turn it on so don't know what channels there are. You can choose from a range of cooked breakfasts (including a full breakfast, eggs benedict), or help yourself to cereals and toast. The owner is also the manager, receptionist, waiter and cook and he is fantastic. He is friendly and approachable, and gave me very useful advice about the area. You cannot find better without bumping the cost up at least £100 a night.

I was in town to…read moreparticipate in a photography workshop and visit St. Michael's Abbey (aka Farnborough Abbey) which is only about a half mile away from Tudorwood and houses a lot of history. The B&B is very nice and my room was cozy but amenity full. The couple that typically runs Tudorwood were on vacation but their friends were very accommodating and friendly and went out of their way to help me. The breakfasts in the mornings were delicious and filling. The location was situated well enough that I could walk anywhere that I needed to go for this short trip to Farnborough.

My room is clean, light and airy, with a lovely view of surrounding trees and greenery. The house is characterful - traditionally English - and (a nice touch) filled with fresh flowers from the large garden. (The garden is open to guests.) For cooked breakfast you can 'pick and mix' from eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms etc. I like this much better than eating exactly the same 'full English' every day! The owner, Judy, and her daughter have been very friendly and welcoming, making the B&B like a home from home during the two weeks I've been staying here. I've had a chance to explore the area a bit. Fleet town centre is a short walk away, and has several decent pubs and restaurants, and a good selection of shops. Nearby Fleet station has regular trains to London. Also nearby and well worth a visit is 'Fleet Pond' - it's actually a sizeable lake (took me 40 mins to walk around) and nature reserve with ducks, geese, heron etc. Tinker's Furze is a first-rate B&B - I recommend it.

Stayed here lots of times already and keep coming back.
