The initial consultation was great. Upfront, supportive and genuine. I recommend them.

After this good experience, I decided to use them again in a tenant-landlord dispute and the issue was resolved efficiently and with great communication. DO NOT TRUST THIS ATTORNEY TO REPRESENT YOU…read more I hired Griffith "Hunter" Thomas II in 2021, trusting him as the managing attorney and namesake of Thomas Law Firm. I paid a $5,000 retainer in good faith and was left with a stalled case, procedural failures, and no resolution after more than three years. I am now in the process of filing formal complaints with both the State Bar of Texas and the Better Business Bureau. 1. Repeated Failure to Serve Opposing Counsel. Despite multiple assurances that key motions had been filed -- including one to dismiss the case and another to recover my $6,200 bond -- they were never served on the opposing party, rendering them procedurally useless. "Our firm was not served with the motion to request the return of cash deposit nor with appellant's motion to withdraw appeal... The motions were not 'unopposed' but were simply unreceived by us." -- Opposing counsel, April 2025 This wasn't an isolated mistake. I have similar evidence from 2022 confirming the same issue. This shows a pattern of negligence, not just a one-time oversight. 2. Contradictory Claims About Firm Identity and Evasion of Responsibility. In 2025, Mr. Thomas attempted to distance himself from responsibility by claiming that a "previous firm" had represented me -- despite the fact that the firm still operates under his name, from the same location, using the same phone number and email address that have been active since 2021. He wrote: "As you both should know, my previous firm represented you in the subject-titled cause. I was listed as an attorney on the case, though I should not have been. I did provide minimal advice to your lead attorney on a certain question, and I was the managing attorney of that firm at the time. Since then, our new firm wanted to help finalize the case, however, and though I would like to help y'all, I must withdraw due to a conflict of interest." -- Griffith "Hunter" Thomas II, 2025 No formal substitution of counsel or withdrawal was ever filed. The attempt to rebrand or relabel the same legal entity appears to be a blatant misrepresentation, designed to sidestep professional responsibility without changing any actual operations. 3. $5,000 Retainer Depleted Without Results. Despite repeated commitments to advance the case, no hearing was set and no motion was ever ruled on. Instead, my entire retainer was depleted -- not on progress, but on: * Internal file reviews by junior attorneys * Repeated responses to my update requests * Reworking tasks that should've been completed long ago At no point did my case move meaningfully forward. Their inaction left me right where I started -- only with thousands of dollars gone. 4. Poor Supervision of Inexperienced Staff. My case was eventually handed off to a first-year associate who had recently joined the firm. He appeared at a key hearing (a Temporary Restraining Order) and said nothing. He was left to manage filings and deadlines with little to no oversight -- resulting in additional errors and delays that undermined my position. I was ultimately forced to represent myself. After years of missed deadlines, broken promises, and misleading communication, I was told I would need to pay even more to continue -- despite the fact that my original $5,000 retainer should have been more than sufficient for this matter. At that point, I had no choice but to represent myself. Mr. Thomas's actions violated my trust and appear to violate multiple provisions of the Texas Rules of Professional Conduct. Avoid this attorney. Don't be fooled by polished branding, vague excuses, or shifting stories. What I experienced was negligence, misrepresentation, and costly deflection -- while my case stalled and my retainer disappeared.

First and foremost, Stephen positioned himself as the middleman in a legal matter for profit. I…read morewas clear that Stephen was not my lawyer, as I was representing myself Pro Se. However, against my better judgment, Stephen insisted that I should trust a server he recommended. When issues inevitably arose, this server completely stopped communicating with me and insisted that everything go through Stephen. It quickly became apparent that the only reason I continued to pay him for his so-called "legal advice" was because I needed him to rectify the problems he had introduced. The server Stephen recommended was not only unreliable but also highly unprofessional. They missed deadlines, were late in serving the necessary documents, and, shockingly, there was even an instance where they failed to serve the Respondent the complete writ order. This monumental blunder had a devastating impact on my case in court, and I finally told them both to end this madness. Instead of an apology or five, Stephen then had the audacity to send me a final bill for services I never received! It's incredibly frustrating and disheartening to think that there are people like Stephen out there who are willing to take advantage of individuals in vulnerable situations. I hardly received any legal advise, Stephen came in unprepared so I would have to repeat what the session was booked for, and when I literally booked him to prep me for a next day hearing, he didn't think I had one scheduled! Protect yourself and your interests, and seek out reputable professionals who genuinely have your best interests at heart. Stephen is unequivocally not one of them. Avoid Stephen at all costs.

5 star Architect for a reason!…read more Daniel has an architectural approach that I believe people will find very rare and refreshing these days. He is very giving of his time, knowledge, and is the most collaborative of the 3 Architects we have used on the 2 other custom homes we have built. As an example, even before we signed a contract he made multiple site visits to give us his friendly professional insight about several lots we were considering before we selected the property we ultimately purchased. He was extremely accommodating and friendly throughout the entire process. Collaboration is his priority from the beginning and he made it very convenient through the use of screen share as we designed the home together. We were really impressed with the architectural 3D model that Daniel created. It was amazing that we were able to have a computer-generated 3D model to visualize the complete exterior as well as the outdoor entertaining, outdoor kitchen, and the pool and spa area. We were able to have the majority of our meetings in the evenings after we got off work and we even did a screen share to collaborate on our laptop while we were out of town visiting family. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about both the architectural and contractual aspects of building, but he seems to have a great instinct for what the client is looking achieve. He also had the desire to study alternatives and create several layouts that might make the most sense for the lifestyle we described. Our custom home is amazing and we would definitely recommend him to our friends. We enjoyed the process of the architectural design of our custom home and even more surprisingly we enjoyed the building process that is often stressful. Instrumental in our smooth building process was Daniel's custom home building budget that he accurately laid out from the beginning giving us many options and associated costs. Daniel's project management and selection of the builder really took confusion out of the process and stress off of our lap. Other critical details that made build successful was his guidance and assistance with the interior design, kitchen, and bath design, and selection of all of our interior finishes and fixtures. Our kitchen and bathrooms really stand out with exceptional design and we are very grateful for that. All in all the 3% that he charged to be a complete steward of our project was an easy decision. We will definitely be using him in the future and so will our friends that are very impressed with our the result as well as our highly detailed and accurate design and building process.
