    Pirate ship playground

A fun place to walk around with the family. They have several different types of shops from Women's boutiques to ice cream so you'll be sure to find something to enjoy. We even found a pirate ship playground! The public bathrooms are a bit questionable so bring hand sanitizer.

They had to work hard to get all of these 60 or so shops into this shopping center and they've done it with not enough parking. Restaurants, shopping, ice cream, toys, even a full-size grocery store. The shopping place is located not fare from the beach and so there's a definite draw here for tourists with shops that tell t-shirts and beachwear. A narrow strip of parking is along the North Forest Beach Drive, but you'll be better served parking in front of the supermarket on the Avocet Street site. Note: You are not allowed to leave your car here and go to the beach! [Review 14357 overall, 1681 of 2020, number 724 in South Carolina.]

It has a mix of boutique shops, a hodge lodge of types of shops. Island themed boutiques, native Indian dream catchers and crystals to wine coolers to ice cream milkshakes to chilling on a patio while listening to a live band. There's also a nice spice and tea shop in here, with some great aromatic teas and spices that hit you as soon as you walk in the door. I do like that the walkways to the different little stores has protection from the sun and rain. As it's know to rain here often.

Cute place, for sure! Went here while vacationing with my bf and his family! As this was my first time, it wasn't my bf's nor his family's. This plaza was filled with people and shops constantly. It definitely had a nice little beach town vibe which I dug. There were a lot of speciality shops alongside your typical souvenir shops which I appreciated. Also, there were a lot of vendors in the walk ways too. I can honestly say...there was a shop for everyone. The prices varied depending on which shop you went into. The only reason I took one star off is because parking can be so annoying and tight. There was almost not enough parking space for the amount of people that were constantly coming in and out. You definitely had to do some walking depending on where you're parked but ya know, the weather was gorgeous so a walk to go shopping, especially in a cute little plaza like this didn't seem so bad. Overall, I would highly recommend! If I'm in the area, I would definitely come back here.

Coligny Plaza is a touristy shopping center located across the street from public beach access to Coligny Beach. A nice shopping center that's often referred to as the heart of downtown for Hilton Head Island. Bear in mind this is tourism central. You are going to find predominantly all the typical sweatshirts, t-shirts & knick knack type stuff you find in every tourist trap. There are plenty of restaurant options here and places to get an ice cream. Many of the bars/restaurants often host local bands.

Coligny Plaza is the pulse of Hilton Head. Bustling with people day and night. Beach attire to dinner clothes are seen here. There is no beach parking , but the beach is walkable. Two of my Island favorites are at Coligny. Lunch outside on Steamers patio is always fun, and I highly recommend. Italian ice from Rita's is just what is needed after a day at the beach or a day golfing. Tons of stores to make everyone happy. Small ponds to look at wildlife. Bike rentals. Live music in the evenings.

This plaza has a quaintness and beach culture vibe even though it stands on ready-made structures made with little eye to exterior creativity; they are the beach culture analogy to the landlock stripmall, except risen some grade, wood based, and hurricane proof. This is how it seems on the outside, but when inside it is interesting walkways, neat angles, hidden courtyards, and a meandering river to spice things up, and corridors where open bar meets open bar in a seemless transition from establishment to establishment. With an eclectic collection of local shops, beach item stores, and novelty souvenir sellers the plaza is worth a visit or two. Sixty some years old, the plaza sprang from the first grocery store here, before there was a bridge onto the island. Now it has 25-stores and 20-some restaurants. As stores the most notable are Del Sol, Jamacia Me Crazy, Tropical Styles, and Sun & Sand; for eats there are several local spots and a couple chains, ice cream and yogurt. Gifts and specialties, kiosts of fun and fake tattoos, music and fun can ge found here. There is plenty of free parking across the street and the beach is just steps away. Lots of information to be found here.

Love the shops. It's a nice mix of stores like I'd find back home and touristy stuff. Very clean. Lots of choices for food or drinks too.

Shops galore. Nice family vibe with some decent restaurants located in the middle of all of the shopping.

There are so many cute shops in Coligny Plaza. Stop in the hot pepper sauce shop or some of the many jewelry/gift shops. Such a cute place.
