I came here with a small group of friends and bought a Groupon for the winery tour and tasting. The facility was very pretty, with a few rows of vines in the back (they have like 200 acres of vines not too far away). There is also a pavilion and picnic tables in the back.
The tour was started fairly promptly, and lasted about 40 minutes. We walked through the facilities in the order that wine production would take place. Nothing was running the day that we went, so this was kind of a bummer. We saw the loading area where grapes would have been brought in, the wine press, fermenting tanks, aging barrels, etc.
The tasting was fun and informative. The staff was flexible, and adjusted the tasting to the group's preference. I'm no wine expert, so I appreciated learning about the dryness scale, how swirling the wine helps to open up the wine, etc.
All in all - this was a fun experience! A great afternoon activity. read more
