You won't find Monopoly here, but you will find the popular games that many of the large toy stores don't carry like Dominion, Munchkin, Catan, etc. On the back wall there is a solid selection of Ravensberger puzzles and in the front corner of the store has a healthy comic book rack. The far side of the store contains Warhammer paraphernalia. They have three tables set up with terrain along the far wall. The majority of the Warhammer stock is 40K so if you're a base player, you'll find the selection limited. I overheard the owner talking to some customers that he likes to hear what people are talking about before he orders stock in so if you want something, ask.

Whoever is doing the selection for what they carry is an obvious enthusiast. They carry all the newest and best things. They quickly restock games from the top lists of Board Game Geek. They make room for the biggest, most ridiculous games like Gloomhaven and other "big box" stuff. They're also priced extremely competitively. While they can't necessarily match Amazon for every price, they certainly do with most of their stuff. They have a lot of games Amazon Canada doesn't carry.

I'm the guy with a bunch of photo albums in boxes under the stairs. I also (most of the time) custom make my greeting cards... I came here to see if I could come up with some ideas for my kids and I to do in the days ahead (they're 2 & 4 right now) The staff here are fantastic and attentive. I was a little overwhelmed the first time I went in the store (with my two little ones) but the staff took great care of us - they even had a game for my kids to play while I looked around. There's something for everyone in this store - seriously. I was amazed. Colours, textures, themes, etc... They also run workshops (haven't attended one yet but just may consider it as mother's day isn't far away). You can tell the staff really enjoy working here by the way they treat you... it was really appreciated. Lots of choices and a sure fire way to look like a hero if you were to sneak away a few nights to complete a project for that special someone. Whether you're pro and do-it-yourselfer or someone like me who would need some one-on-one guidance, this place is for you. I love this store for collectibles. The first time that I came to this shop I was looking for space…read morerelated stamps. After giving the shop owner some loose criteria he was able to produce binders of stamps depicting space shuttles, space stations, satellites (like Sputnik) and many more. He even had space race stamps from before the cold war! Recently I inquired if they had any Calgary Stampede stamps. Low and behold he had a quick answer that no he did not, and none had ever been produced before 2012 the centennial year. He did however provide several cachets (envelopes with prints on them) dating back to the early days of the Stampede. I picked up one from 1951, 1955 (Alberta's Jubilee year) and 1962 (Stampede's Jubilee year). The one from 1962 also contains a letterhead which the shop owner was completely aware of. The three of them cost $15, probably one of the most inexpensive Stampede souvenirs I have ever purchased. He neatly tucked them into a hard cardboard envelope at no additional charge so that they would get bent out of shape in my backpack. This store must have hundreds of thousands of artifacts available for purchase. Have an interest? There's probably a stamp for that.

This store was an absolute delight to wander around in, which I and another American friend did for well over an hour. Just an absolute delight, with even a well stocked discount hardcover section, which I took full advantage of, and had a delightful time finding books that I wanted. We ended up spending several hundred dollars, and the clerk even gave us an unasked-for discount! All and all, a wonderful store, highly recommended to all my visiting friends from the states.
