You won't find Monopoly here, but you will find the popular games that many of the large toy stores don't carry like Dominion, Munchkin, Catan, etc. On the back wall there is a solid selection of Ravensberger puzzles and in the front corner of the store has a healthy comic book rack. The far side of the store contains Warhammer paraphernalia. They have three tables set up with terrain along the far wall. The majority of the Warhammer stock is 40K so if you're a base player, you'll find the selection limited. I overheard the owner talking to some customers that he likes to hear what people are talking about before he orders stock in so if you want something, ask.

First of all the Southcentre location tends to be quieter if you like a more relaxed experience or want to ensure you get a chance to speak to an associate (although I've never really had this issue at Chinook either). Weekends can still get a touch busier at times, but it's still not the larger crowd Chinook usually draws. The second thing I like about this location is the store itself is noticeably bigger, more open and more spread out. This makes for a much better shopping experience. Lastly they do tend to stock a big more inventory at this location as well, I assume this is naturally because of the larger sized real estate. It's for all these reasons that I give this store a slight edge over the Chinook Centre location. Now just to reiterate my previous review; EB Games is a pretty cool store for anyone with a bit of a nerdy side, because it's not just a video game store anymore. Much like HMV had to evolve their model EB Games did as well, now they have some pretty cool branded toys or "pop culture collectibles". They stock Pop! Collectibles by Funko which are big and highly collectible these days and even have figures that are exclusively sold at EB Games. They have a range of other toys as well, exclusive board games, t-shirts, books, other non-gaming electronics and more. For me this is the big draw to EB Games these days, the unique fun little items you don't find elsewhere. I have a nerdy side and I like to show it with stuff like this lol :). The store itself is well kept and organized, the sections are easily identified and not overly cluttered to the point where it would be annoying to sift through things or browse. I was browsing around while the lady working finished up a phone call. Once she was off the phone we had a good chat about the different collections I had and some ideas if they were worth anything. She really knew her stuff. Anything I threw out she had an answer for. She also recommended that I check out the sports card show at the Acadia rec centre that runs a bunch of times a year. The store is small but they have a good selection of items. They have lots of cards, books, and figurines, but also many other one-off collectables.

Whoever is doing the selection for what they carry is an obvious enthusiast. They carry all the newest and best things. They quickly restock games from the top lists of Board Game Geek. They make room for the biggest, most ridiculous games like Gloomhaven and other "big box" stuff. They're also priced extremely competitively. While they can't necessarily match Amazon for every price, they certainly do with most of their stuff. They have a lot of games Amazon Canada doesn't carry.
