He proceeded to poke fun at me for the simple fact that the comic had been out of print for 6 years. now excuse me I thought these kinds of shops were supposed to have harder to find Collectibles? after he poked fun at me I noticed he was getting snippy with a man who was there with his small boy, because the child was looking at the pretty pictures. He also got snippy with my husband for looking through the books on the higher shelf, saying that he would bend the spine on the books that my husband was already intending on purchasing. all in all I found that he was rude and obnoxious. Staff knows the rules and can point you in the right direction in what you need for your army or future army. If they dont have it they have a nice computer ordering system there to help you get what you need. People who hang out there will direct you and are friendly as well. Staff and Guests will take the time to introduce you and even play a game or two. once a month they hold a Free Miniature to assemble and paint to enter into a painting contest where the public comes in and votes on the best model.

Apparently, this is THE place to rent and buy costumes in Fort Wayne. They've been operating in the city since 1949! It's also the place to buy fake poop, fake barf, fake teeth, fake mustaches, fake hair and fake Spam. (The fake Spam is actually a decoy secret safe.) They also sell lots of silly gifts, corny mugs, cringey t-shirts, ironic greeting cards, and a lot of Marvel things, for some reason. Stoner's has three rooms of "things that you didn't know you needed but can't live without," according to the delightful woman who works here. She literally said that while standing behind the counter, and I immediately and covertly wrote it down in the notes section of my phone because it was so great. This same woman convinced me to try on a dress from the costume section that looked like it had the Eye of Sauron on it and was $3, because she said, "You're so small, you could fit into this costume and wear it for real." I mean, if an older woman who works in a costume shop called Stoner's Funstore says that you're small and would look good in an Eye of Sauron dress that used to be a costume, you try on the dress. Unfortunately, the proportions were all wrong, so I had to put the dress back on the rack. The vibe at Stoner's is cool and laid back, the people who work here are friendly and helpful, and the store is centrally located in downtown Fort Wayne, with lots of parking, which is a rarity for downtown Fort Wayne. This is a good place to visit if you're looking for a silly gift or costume for Halloween, or any time, really.
