Read the negative reviews and base your decision off that. The Owner's will respond spouting off about their "Vision, Values and Mission" but they don't care about any of it. It's there to help them rope you in and make money. They only care about money not about the children or the parents. I am sure they will respond here with the same canned responses they give every other negative review. They refuse to resolve issues face to face, through email or over the phone "they don't have a contact number" yea sure they don't have a phone. Attached to this post will be pictures of all the reasons we decided to remove our child from this "school" please be wary of the positive posts on here. The staff does not seem to care about anything going on, and are there to just pick up a paycheck and could care less what happens with our children. We have brought up issues multiple times with the director, and given plenty of time for the issues to be resolved, however the director seems to brush off the issue and no resolution was made, hence our choice to remove our son from this "school" If the owners of the "school" would like to discuss this information further with us, they can feel free to give us a call ( Not email , not canned responses to this post a genuine phone call); if we do not hear from them , then we will assume they do not have concern for the health and well being of the children in their facility and are only in the business to make money.

The reason why we especially love Barfield Academy is they take time to teach the children instead of letting TVs babysit them. My child has grown immensely since attending. The focus on manners, ABCs, 123s and overall just being a good respectful little person make my wife and I very happy. I know there has been some turnover at the director level, but those were personal choices that people had to make for career advancement, which should never be frowned upon. Miss Alice and Miss Emily have this school running on all cylinders and we are proud to be a part of the Barfield Academy family.

This school has been in Franklin for over 20 years, has certified Montessori educators in every classroom, and full of loving, nurturing, and professional educators who go above and beyond for each child. I am confident that this is because of the combination of caring and attentive teachers and a quality Montessori approach to education. As a result of what they've learned at Montessori, both of our children are very self-sufficient (pouring their own milk and juices, putting on their own coats, helping to cut and peel fruits and vegetables, and so much more). Since she began attending the toddler program, our youngest (who had separation difficulties at other schools) has become much more independent and self-confident. She is even excited to go to school and talks about her friends and teachers when at home! In her three years at Montessori, we have seen our oldest daughter grow in ways I cannot even describe--she is growing into a strong, compassionate young girl, with a solid foundation in academics and most importantly a love and passion for learning. This evening, as we were reading bedtime stories, she told me that her friend asked her how she was getting so smart and that she answered, "Because I like to read a lot!"
