Fast work, but zero professionalism and a refusal to communicate…read more I hired C. Carlin to clear a kitchen clog. While the drain was snaked, the overall experience was a failure in customer service, safety protocol, and basic accountability. The Issues: Safety & Scheduling: I scheduled a 3:00 PM appointment and adjusted my entire workday to ensure I was home. I arrived at 2:55 PM, only to find the crew had already finished and left. They arrived early and entered my home while only my underage son was present. No courtesy call was made to indicate they were ahead of schedule, let alone to ask if it was okay to enter the home without an adult present. When I raised this concern, the office manager told me I should "take responsibility" for my son not announcing he was a minor. It is standard professional practice NOT to enter a home without an adult present. Preventative Care Denied: Because they finished and left before the scheduled time, I missed the opportunity to discuss my concerns regarding my main house trap. Given past basement flooding, I wanted to ensure kitchen debris didn't cause a secondary blockage. I would have gladly paid for an extra 10 minutes of work, but they were gone. My later request for them to return and "finish the job" with a proper consultation was denied. Hostile Customer Service: Every phone interaction was aggressive. The office manager used "being extremely busy" as an excuse for their lack of communication, yet they were flexible scheduling my appointment time when taking my $175. She was more interested in pushing an upsell for a $10/month subscription maintenance program than addressing the fact that her crew left a mess of water and debris on my floor (no shoe covers used). Lack of Leadership/Access: When I requested to speak with the owner to discuss these lapses, I was told quite abruptly, "Well, that's never gonna happen! We don't do that here!" This interaction made it clear that despite the family name, the business is no longer operated with a "family-owned" level of accountability. Customers are shielded from leadership, and valid concerns are met with denial rather than solutions. The Bottom Line: They are efficient at a 10-minute "quick fix," but they charge premium prices ($175) for the bare minimum. If you want a company that respects your schedule, your home, and basic safety boundaries, look elsewhere.

I am very disappointed with the service I received…read more I was given a service window of 8:00-9:00 AM, but the technicians did not arrive until 11:30 AM. During that time, there was no way to reach anyone directly by phone--only voicemail--and my messages were not returned. When the technicians finally arrived, they failed to add the necessary DE (earth) to my filter, which led to additional problems, including issues with my heater and an overheating pump. Because of the lack of communication, follow-up, and support, I had no choice but to contact another pool service company. They responded immediately, took the time to diagnose the problem properly, explained everything that was happening, and resolved the issue quickly. Unfortunately, my experience with this company was frustrating from start to finish, and I expected a much higher level of professionalism and customer service. Not recommended

bought my home. pool Dr had been servicing the previous owner, and the Service Manager came out…read moreand told me I needed a new part as he was standing there looking at my system because one part looked older than the rest. He did not test it. since then they've charged me close to $2000 and I still have the problem. They just started replacing parts. They turned me over to aqua cal because pool doctor could not resolve the issue Aqua cow said the system is under warranty pool doctor says too bad you authorized us to replace these parts. rep asked me if the screen was clean. the warranty girl at pool Dr. told me, the screen would be clean. That's part of what happens when this new part was put in. I sent in another technician after firing pool Dr and he sent me pictures of the screen totally clogged. pool dr told me I have no recourse with them.I was treated like the adversary and definitely not as a customer at the time, I didn't know who Aqua cal was or I did not know what these parts did or how they worked this is in Cape Coral Florida. The warranty person expected me to totally understand the system. Amy told me in a mocking voice, sir, we just put the new part in the screen will be clean and I checked the next day and of course it was clogged. And the tone of her voice and the curt response had me shaking. I still don't have the problem resolved, and they left me hanging and they were paid for what they did. This is kind of a thanks for nothing but give me my money back and they are refusing.
