To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am a disabled senior citizen who hired Union City Paving, LLC to fill cracks and seal my 250 ft. asphalt driveway in Covington, TN. on October 3rd, 2019. The company did the work under the direction on Daniel Adams, who is the owner. I was told that the sealer would be thicker when applied manually, and I paid extra for that service. I trusted Mr. Adams to do a good job, but later found numerous large irregular lumps wherever cracks had been sealed. The sealer was also filled with streaks from the applicator. When asked about the mess the following day, Mr. Adams commented, "The man who ran that machine is new, and he doesn't care about how it looks." When asked why the blobs of crack filler were not scraped off, Mr. Adams stated, "When you are in the business of making money you cannot be concerned about every detail." He also claimed he had never told me manual application was better. So why would I have paid more for a sloppy job? After an unpleasant phone conversation, Mr. Adams promised to send a crew to remove the mess in my driveway. They never arrived, and I have not heard a word from the company. I checked with my bank and found that my check was cashed immediately the morning after the work was done. Is it possible Mr. Adams hurried to cash the check before I realized what a mess his company had made? How many men does it take to "work over" an old woman? If you are talking about Union City Paving, LLC, the number is five. Five young men were on my land. Each of them could see I had physical challenges, and no one brought my attention to the problems with my driveway. Shameful. Sincerely, F. Gannon
