The programs are interesting with lots of stage options. The school itself is also clean most times I've been to visit. They do have this collective lunch hour where everyone has a lunch break at the same time which is very inconvenient because then the whole school gets clogged. I'm sure it made sense when making the schedules, but it makes the school feel small. The only reason I didn't go here is because it's next to a cemetery, and that just felt kinda creepy to me. Plus I like being in the middle of downtown where there's lots to do. Vanier is just kinda far and there isn't much surrounding it. But that is a plus if you want to find a quiet place to study, they have plenty of those.

The clinic here is very well-run and appointments have to be made well in advance. This is not a drop-in clinic. Each session costs $20 a pop, in contrast to the $50-$80 you might have to pay for a practicing and certified acupuncturist. Students here are strictly monitored by their professors and teachers, all of whom are board certified. I've been coming here for a few years and you initial visit will involve you filling out a detailed questionnaire about your medical background and what ailment you are seeking the acupuncture for exactly. After that, you will discuss the questionnaire and your concerns with the trainee. All of them are very friendly but this is a French language CEGEP so if you're uni-lingual English, you might want to ask beforehand for someone bilingual so there is no risk of misunderstanding one another. Depending on what you are being treated for, your treatment may involve weekly visits ranging from 2-8 weeks. The treatment and the service I have received to date were nothing less than professional and friendly. And I didn't have to rob a bank to get it either!

While this new section does not have the high ceiling, it is well ventilated without being too breezy with the A/C and there is a TON of natural lighting from the windows. Overall HEC Montréal is a great studying location with varied environments (inside/outside, quiet/common area), cafeteria and high-power microwaves. The eduroam Wi-Fi is reliable and gives Internet to users from all universities.

This is an amazing, amazing school although the business students couldn't keep a bar afloat in a university ghetto (it is now the St-Hubert on Cote-des-Neiges). Fantastic library and the place teaches EVERYTHING. Plus it's loaded with history; my graduation for my master's degree was in the same rotunda out of which Pierre Elliott Trudeau graduated. He probably spent three long and painful hours of convocation staring at the same rather abstract crucifix. But the beautiful Art Deco library tower against a brilliant cerulean winter sky will always be in my memory.

First of all, I originally signed up on the website to do it at Dawson college and then saw in the email that it was actually here. When I addressed this with someone who worked there, they acknowledged the error and said it's been an issue for a while. I was wondering to myself why they haven't fixed it then?? If someone goes to the wrong location and misses their test, they are out $330!! Next issue was that the emails about the time for the test were sent only 2 days before the actual test date, making it difficult to plan your schedule. Additionally, the messages went straight into the junk folder so could easily be missed. There was no warning when signing up that this could be an issue. The organization on test day was all over the place. There were about 4 employees who all seemed pretty lost and inexperienced. For my speaking exam, although we were asked to show up 20 minutes early (which I did), the examiner showed up 15 minutes late! Then during the speaking exam, there was a power outage and blaring sounds from the emergency system interrupted the exam for about 5 minutes. Not the best test environment... If you have to take the IELTS, I do not recommend taking it here.
