First of all the staff here has been terrific and very caring! A year ago we worked with funeral…read moreDirector Deanna Wright and she was so kind and compassionate as my husband had just lost his mother suddenly. The only issue was her assistant made a few spelling errors in the memory book that we discovered later and was also almost late to the service. But everything was handled properly and went smoothly. We ended up interring her in the Eternal Gardens section that overlooks the lake and it is beautiful! We brought her to the Gardens this year and the staff was so wonderful, they set up chairs and a pedestal at the niche so we could have a little service is we wanted. They even allowed us to stay when the grounds keepers sealed her vault. Which the grounds crew is just as phenomenal.

The grave site for the military burial was fine, and with care. From then on…read more... The day we went in to pay cash for granite double head stone, we were told to ask for "J". We did. We were directed to the first door around a corner. We went inside not looking ahead, to be greeted with a body in a casket and her grieving family member. Embarrassed for her and angry we walked out. Veterans week we insisted his site be cared for and the granite laid for Veterans Day. We thanked them after it was accomplished, the area trimmed yet no seed laid. Spring and summer came with no grass growing and uneven ground in 2014. We were told it was due to the rain. We asked for the site to be cared for, leveled out and new seeding put in numerous times. The last time was Memorial Day 2015, I in tears. Dad deserved and earned this basic respect. We were Promised then, multiple times prior this oversight would be taken care of after being told it was too hot, too cold, too much rain, not enough rain, short staff, changing management, changing companies etc etc. Never once was there evidence of care, except for weeds trimmed for Veterans Day 2014 when granite was laid, 11 months after paid for and ordered. We were told they had it on site. Others have been buried near Dad since, and sites are covered with grass. Not Dads. Today I took pics of other sites near his seeded. Not his. We have a total of four plots here. Two Veterans and Unlikely to be used. I Regret not granting his last expressed wish one week prior to his fatal event, regretting not having plots at Wyuka. That week, I had Dad at LM in the car, hoping he would feel better about plans made years before. The office could NOT tell me where his graves were located! I received a letter in the mail telling me where the sites were while he was in ICU, just days before he passed. Use Lincoln Memorial forewarned. Stories of lawnmowers damaging granite headstones, and disputes between families and management to have them replaced are not uncommon chatting in the park. Families caring for their loved ones sites is not either. I thought it was a cultural thing at first. I learned it was that or grass growing over markers, weeds etc. Dads Fourth Memorial Day is coming up. Very sad for us.
