This is the place where I park my car. I go a monthly parking pass. The guys there is pretty cool most of the time. It is a little hard to get to from Connecticut Ave. You have to go around the circle just to get to the parking space. It is on a one way street. Before I got the monthly pass, It was pretty easy to get a space. There was't a time where it was full. If you come too late on any holidays then it may be different. It cost $21 for a full day. It cost me $380 monthly. It is a 24 hours access facility but I didn't take this option because you will need a key for 24 hours access.

This is the garage where my car was basically kept hostage for 2 consecutive days

I ended up parking here while trying to go to another lot. This location worked out great for our…read moreneeds. We were able to get a spot, and the car was there when we got back. Staff wasn't super organized, but they were friendly and I was willing to trust them with the keys to my car, so there is that. This is a rather small lot with many spots being double parked in, so they ask you to leave your keys in the car (kind of freaks me out to be honest). It's like a hybrid valet - I parked my car in a small spot, but they brought the car back to me. If you're from out of town, or just not used to city spots, these spots will feel really small. Combine that with having to back in to them, and if you're already sweating you might want to find a different place. I do think the staff may have parked my car for me if I'd asked, so maybe this is a bonus for you. Because of the tight parking, double parking etc, there is a bunch of staff working, and it can get really confusing figuring out what to do. "Park down there" isn't helpful when there are a few cars moving around and a couple of spots. In the end, and with direction from no less than three people, we got our spot. I was complemented on my ability to back in to a spot. Some basic facts that might help you out - on the weekdays, they're open til 10pm. The cost for anything over an hour is $23. So, a tad pricier than elsewhere I've seen, but it was right across the street from our destination and we were running late, so it was worth a few extra bucks.

What a wonderful monument and tribute to a great president…read more Incredible architecture, great views from the top. Definitely a sight to see if you are hitting the good spots in the general area. Sad that so much of the area was fenced off and marred by a fair and military presence.

Dear reader, The…read moreLincoln Memorial is one of those places that somehow manages to exceed expectations every single time. It is magnificent, larger than life, and has a presence that photographs simply cannot capture. Being open to the air only adds to the experience, with beautiful views stretching across the National Mall and Reflecting Pool that make it feel every bit as grand as it ought to. On our most recent visit, we explored the newly opened Undercroft, and I highly recommend making time for it. It is fascinating to stand beneath the monument and see the massive support structure while learning more about its construction and history. One of the highlights was seeing original documents bearing President Lincoln's signature, which added a surprisingly personal touch to such an iconic place. There is also a short film projected onto the structural columns in a small theatre. The full production is still being completed and is expected sometime in 2027, but even the preview was well worth watching. Admission is free, though I strongly recommend reserving tickets online in advance rather than waiting in the morning. It makes the visit much easier. A thoroughly remarkable experience and one every Washingtonian and visitor should enjoy.
