Something strong- it can also look at the uniform-ness of being in the police. This mural could definitely be interpreted in many different ways. There seems to be a strong catholic presence in the area. There are lots of small shops throughout the area, in great variety. I really like the concept of building art, which helps to alleviate buildings that might be considered eyesores. This concept also, serves to give artist a place to showcase their talents, as well as offer representation of the cultures in the area. Really provides inspiration on many fronts. The city is quite large it has give zip codes. It also has a lot of protected lands/ parks/ reservation and a fabulous stretch of beautiful coast that houses its beaches. The entire side of the building lined with elephants parading! The detail was great- the black, white and gray tones give a sense that the mural has been there for a while, not sharp contrasts like some other murals- but a artistic grace that feels timeless. I wish I could find more information on this mural- artist, time it was painted, etc.

If you haven't gone out with Violet or Corey in the Jeep you really need to schedule it! We had so much fun just the two of us, it was like hanging out with an old friend! Loved it! The Dogtown Common features the Babson Boulders, off of Cherry Street. These boulders (about 3…read moredozen of them), have carved inspirational inscriptions that most people find it worthwhile to stop by for photo-ops. Parking is confusing, as while there's a sign for the Dogtown Common area, nothing is clearly marked or labeled for parking and for access points. You can only enter via walking, so appropriate clothing attire and shoes are highly recommended. It's definitely woody, so make sure you apply much insect repellent! The boulders are not near the entryway, and you do need to walk about 1.5/2 miles inland. I personally did not think it was worth a stop, but those who are in the Gloucester and have some time, may find it of interest. +carved inspirational messages on boulders

There's also a dog park and tennis court underneath the highway. Once done, head to Albany Street for a beautiful view of the skyline. It's also a short walk to Chinatown, which is worth visiting.

You can park and then wander around the area. There was a dog park, seats along the water for sunbathing or just catching your breath! A lovely walkway lined with about 30 colored line leads you throughout the underground. Plenty of space to take in, relax and enjoy the art or the people you are with. I love graffiti! My husband heard about this and surprised me for Mother's day with a trip here with the kids. Thanks Boston for have a commissioned space for these artists. I love how you have given the people a great place and have also given the artists the ability to showcase their talents. Tips: wear sneakers, bring sunblock and snacks for the kids. No public bathrooms.
